Matendo 4
1 Wakati Petro na Yohana walipokuwa wakizungumza na watu, makuhani na mlinzi wa hekalu na masadukayo waliwaendea.
When are speaking now they to the people came upon them the (priests *NK(O)*) and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees,
2 Walikuwa wameudhika sana kwa sababu Petro na Yohana walikuwa wanawafundisha watu kuhusu Yesu na kutangaza juu ya kufufuka kwake kutoka kwa wafu.
being distressed because of teaching of theirs to the people and [their] proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection (that *NK(o)*) out from [the] dead;
3 Waliwakamata na kuwaweka gerezani hadi asubuhi iliyofuata, kwani tayari ilikuwa jioni.
and they laid on them the hands and put [them] in custody until the next day; it was for evening already.
4 Lakini watu wengi waliokuwa wamesikia ujumbe waliamini; na idadi ya wanaume waliokuwa wameamini walikadiliwa kuwa elfu tano.
Many however of those having heard the word believed; and became the number of the men (about *N(k)O*) thousand five.
5 Hata ilipofika asubuhi siku iliyofuata, kwamba wakuu wao, wazee na waandishi, kwa pamoja walikusanyika Yerusalemu.
It came to pass then on the next day assembling their rulers and (*no*) elders and (*no*) scribes
6 Anasi kuhani mkuu alikuwepo, na Kayafa, na Yohana, na Iskanda, na wote waliokuwa ni ndugu wa kuhani mkuu.
(in *N(k)O*) Jerusalem and (Annas the high priest *N(k)O*) and (Caiaphas *N(k)O*) and (John *N(k)O*) and (Alexander *N(k)O*) and as many as were of descent high-priestly,
7 Walipokuwa wamewaweka Petro na Yohana katikati yao, waliwauliza, “Kwa uwezo gani, au kwa jina gani mmefanya hili?”
And having placed them in the midst they were inquiring; In what power or in what name did this you yourselves?
8 Kisha, Petro, akiwa amejaa Roho Mtakatifu, akawaambia, “Ninyi wakuu wa watu, na wazee,
Then Peter having been filled with [the] Spirit Holy said to them; Rulers of the people and elders (of Israel *K*)
9 kama sisi siku ya leo tunahojiwa kuhusu tendo jema lililofanywa kwa mtu huyu mgonjwa - kwa namna gani mtu huyu alifanywa mzima?
if we ourselves this day are being examined as to a good work [to the] man ailing, by what [means] he has been healed,
10 Hebu lijulikane hilo kwenu na kwa watu wote katika Israel, kwamba kwa jina la Yesu Kristo wa Nazareti, ambaye mlimsulibisha, ambaye Mungu alimfufua kutoka kwa wafu, ni kwa njia yake kwamba mtu huyu anasimama hapa mbele yenu akiwa mwenye afya.
known it should be to all you and to all the people of Israel that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom you yourselves crucified, whom God raised out from [the] dead, in Him this [man] has stood before you sound.
11 Yesu Kristo ni jiwe ambalo ninyi wajenzi mlilidharau, lakini ambalo limefanywa kuwa jiwe kuu la pembeni.
This is the stone which having been rejected by you the (builders, *N(k)O*) which has become into head of [the] corner.’
12 Hakuna wokovu katika mtu mwingine awaye yote. Kwa maana hakuna jina jingine chini ya mbingu walilopewa watu, ambalo kwa hilo tunaweza kuokolewa.”
And not there is in other no [one] the salvation; (not *N(k)O*) for name is there another under heaven which given among men by which it behooves to be saved us.
13 Sasa walipoona ujasiri wa Petro na Yohana, na wakagundua kwamba walikuwa ni watu wakawaida wasio na elimu, walishangaa, wakafahamu kwamba Petro na Yohana wamekuwa pamoja na Yesu.
Seeing now the of Peter boldness and of John and having grasped that men unschooled they are and ordinary, they were astonished, They were recognizing then them that with Jesus they were being,
14 Kwa sababu walimwona yule mtu aliyeponywa amesimama pamoja nao, hawakuwa na kitu cha kusema dhidi ya hili.
(And *N(k)O*) the man beholding with them already standing who healed, no [thing] they had to contradict.
15 Lakini walipokuwa wamekwisha kuwaamuru mitume waondoke mbele ya mkutano wa baraza, walizungumza wao kwa wao.
Having commanded however them outside the Council to go, (they were confering *N(k)O*) with one another
16 Walisema, tutawafanyaje watu hawa? Ni kweli kwamba muujiza wa ajabu umefanyika kupitia wao unajulikana na kila mmoja anayeishi Yerusalemu; hatuwezi kulikataa hilo.
saying; What (shall we do *N(k)O*) to the men these? for truly for a noteworthy sign has come to pass through them to all those inhabiting Jerusalem [is] evident, and not we are able (to deny [it]; *N(k)O*)
17 Lakini, ili kwamba jambo hili lisienee miongoni mwa watu, hebu tuwaonye wasinene tena kwa mtu yeyote kwa jina hili.
But that not on further it may spread among the people, (threats *K*) (let us warn *NK(o)*) them no longer to speak in name this to no man.
18 Waliwaita Petro na Yohana ndani na kuwaamuru kamwe wasinene wala kufundisha kwa jina la Yesu.
And having called them they commanded (them *k*) at not to speak nor to teach in the name of Jesus.
19 Lakini Petro na Yohana walijibu na kuwaambia, “Kama ni sahihi machoni pa Mungu kuwatii ninyi kuliko Mungu, hukumuni wenyewe.
But Peter and John answering said to them; Whether right it is before God to you to listen rather than God, you should judge.
20 Maana sisi hatuwezi kuacha kuyanena mambo ambayo tumeyaona na kuyasikia.”
not we are able for we ourselves what we have seen and we heard not to speak.
21 Baada ya kuwaonya sana Petro na Yohana, waliwaacha waende. Hawakuweza kupata sababu yoyote ya kuwaadhibu, kwa sababu watu wote walikuwa wakimsifu Mungu kwa kile kilichokuwa kimetendeka.
And having further threatened [them] they let go them nothing finding the how (they may punish *NK(o)*) them, on account of the people, because all were glorifying God for that having happened.
22 Mtu aliyekuwa amepokea muujiza wa uponyaji alipata kuwa na umri zaidi ya miaka arobaini.
of years for he was more than forty-the man on whom had taken place sign this of healing.
23 Baada ya kuwaacha huru, Petro na Yohana walikuja kwa watu wao na kuwataarifu yote ambayo makuhani wakuu na wazee walikuwa wamewaambia.
Having been let go now they came to [their] own and reported as much as to them the chief priests and the elders had said.
24 Walipoyasikia, walipaza sauti zao kwa pamoja kwa Mungu na kusema, “Bwana, wewe uliyeumba mbingu na dunia na bahari na kila kitu ndani yake,
And having heard with one accord they lifted up [their] voice to God and said; Sovereign Lord, You yourself (God *K*) who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that [is] in them,
25 wewe ambaye, kwa Roho Mtakatifu, kwa kinywa cha baba yetu Daudi, mtumishi wako, ulisema, “Kwanini watu wa mataifa wamefanya ghasia, na watu wametafakari mambo yasiyofaa?
who (of the father of us *NO*) through ([the] Spirit Holy *NO*) through [the] mouth of David (the *k*) servant of You having spoken: so why so why did rage [the] Gentiles and peoples did devise vain things?
26 Wafalme wa dunia wamejipanga pamoja, na watawala wamekusanyika kwa pamoja dhidi ya Bwana na dhidi ya masihi wake.”
Took [their] stand the kings of the earth and the rulers were gathered together themselves against the Lord and against the Christ of Him.’
27 Ni hakika, wote Herode na Pontio Pilato, pamoja na watu wa mataifa na watu wa Israeli, walikusanyika kwa pamoja katika mji huu dhidi ya mtumishi wako mtakatifu Yesu, ambaye ulimpaka mafuta.
Were gathered together for in truth (in the city this *NO*) against the holy servant of You Jesus whom You anointed, Herod both and Pontius Pilate with [the] Gentiles and peoples of Israel
28 Walikusanyika kwa pamoja kufanya yote ambayo mkono wako na mapenzi yako yaliyaamuru tangu awali kabla hayajatokea.
to do as much as the hand of You and the purpose of You determined beforehand to happen.
29 Sasa, Bwana, yaangalie matisho yao, na ukawajaalie watumishi wako kulinena neno lako kwa ujasiri wote. Ili
And now, Lord, do look upon the threats of them and do grant to the servants of You with boldness all to speak the word of You
30 kwamba unaponyosha mkono wako kuponya, ishara na maajabu viweze kutokea kupitia jina la mtumishi wako mtakatifu Yesu.”
in that the hand of You stretching out You for healing and signs and wonders to take place through the name of the holy servant of You Jesus.
31 Walipomaliza kuomba, eneo ambalo walikusanyika kwa pamoja likatikiswa, na wote wakajazwa na Roho Mtakatifu, na walinena neno la Mungu kwa ujasili.
And when were praying they was shaken the place in which they were assembled, and they were filled all (with the *no*) Holy Spirit and were speaking the word of God with boldness.
32 Idadi kubwa ya wale walioamini walikuwa na moyo mmoja na roho moja: na hakuna hata mmoja wao aliyesema kwamba chochote alichomiliki kilikuwa cha kwake mwenyewe; badala yake walikuwa na vitu vyote shirika.
And the multitude who having believed were [in] (*k*) heart and (*k*) soul one; and not one anything of the possessions (to him *N(k)O*) was claiming [his] own to be, but were to them (all things *NK(o)*) in common.
33 Kwa nguvu kubwa mitume walikuwa wakiutangaza ushuhuda wao kuhusu ufufuo wa Bwana Yesu, na neema kubwa ilikuwa juu yao wote.
And [with] power great were giving testimony the apostles of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus grace then abundant was upon all them.
34 Hapakuwa na mtu yeyote miongoni mwao aliyepungukiwa na mahitaji, kwa sababu watu wote waliokuwa na hati za viwanja au nyumba, waliviuza na kuleta pesa ya vitu waliyokuwa wameuza
Not even for in need anyone (there was *N(k)O*) among them; as many as for [were] owners of lands or houses were selling [them] they were bringing the proceeds of what is sold
35 na kuviweka chini ya miguu ya mitume. Na mgawanyo ulifanywa kwa kila muumini, kulingana na kila mmoja alivyokuwa na hitaji.
and were laying [them] at the feet of the apostles, distribution was made then to each just as would anyone need had.
36 Yusufu, mlawi, mtu kutoka Kipro, alipewa jina la Barnabasi na mitume (hiyo ikitafasiriwa, ni mwana wa faraja).
(Joseph *N(K)O*) now who having been called Barnabas (by *N(k)O*) the apostles which is being translated Son of encouragement a Levite, a Cypriot at the birth,
37 Akiwa na shamba, aliliuza na akaleta fedha, akaziweka chini ya miguu ya mitume.
When is owning he a field, having sold [it] he brought the money and laid [it] (at *N(k)O*) the feet of the apostles.
