2 Samweli 8
1 ikawa baada ya haya Daudi aliwashambulia Wafilisti na kuwashinda. Hivyo Daudi akaichukua Gathi na vijiji vyake kutoka katika mamlaka ya wafilisti.
And it was after thus and he defeated David [the] Philistines and he subdued them and he took David Metheg-ammah from [the] hand of [the] Philistines.
2 Kisha akaishinda Moabu na akawapima watu wake kwa mstari kwa kuwafanya walale chini juu ya ardhi. Alipima mistari miwili ya kuua, na mstari mmoja kamili kuwahifadhi hai. Hivyo Wamoabu wakawa watumishi wa Daudi na wakaanza kumlipa kodi.
And he defeated Moab and he measured off them with measuring-line he made lie down them [the] ground towards and he measured off two measuring-lines to put to death and [the] fullness of measuring-line to let live and it became Moab of David servants bearing tribute.
3 Kisha Daudi akamshinda Hadadezeri mwana wa Rehobu, mfalme wa Soba, Hadadezeri aliposafiri kuurudisha ufalme wake katika mto Frati.
And he defeated David Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah when went he to restore hand his (at [the] river Euphrates. *Q(K)*)
4 Daudi aliteka magari 1, 700 ya farasi na askari ishirini elfu waendao kwa miguu. Daudi akawakata miguu farasi wa magari, lakini akahifadhi wakutosha magari mia moja.
And he captured David from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand man on foot and he hamstrung David all the chariotry and he left of it one hundred chariot[s].
5 Wakati Washami wa Dameski walipokuja kumsaidia Hadadeziri mfalme wa Soba, Daudi akaua katika Washami watu ishirini na mbili elfu.
And it came Aram Damascus to help Hadadezer [the] king of Zobah and he struck down David among Aram twenty and two thousand man.
6 Daudi akaweka ngome huko Shamu ya Dameski, na Washami wakawa watumishi wake na wakaleta kodi. Yahwe akampa Daudi ushindi kila alikokwenda.
And he put David garrisons in Aram Damascus and it became Aram of David servants bearing tribute and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
7 Daudi akachukua ngao za dhahabu walizokuwa nazo watumishi wa Hadadezeri naye akazileta Yerusalemu.
And he took David [the] shields of gold which they were to [the] servants of Hadadezer and he brought them Jerusalem.
8 Mfalme Daudi akachukua shaba nyingi kutoka Beta na Berosai, miji ya Hadadezeri.
And from Betah and from Berothai [the] cities of Hadadezer he took the king David bronze much very.
9 Wakati Tou, mfalme wa Hamathi, aliposikia kwamba Daudi amelishinda jeshi lote la Hadadezeri,
And he heard Toi [the] king of Hamath that he had defeated David all [the] army of Hadadezer.
10 Tou akamtuma Hadoramu mwanawe kwa mfalme Daudi kumpa salamu na kumbariki, kwa kuwa Daudi alikuwa amepigana na Hadadezeri na kumshinda, maana Hadadezeri alikuwa amepiga vita dhidi ya Tou. Hadoramu akaja pamoja na vitu vya fedha, dhahabu, na shaba.
And he sent Toi Joram son his to the king David to ask of him to welfare and to bless him on that he had waged war against Hadadezer and he had defeated him for man of wars of Toi he was Hadadezer and in hand his they were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.
11 Mfalme Daudi akaviweka wakfu vitu hivi kwa ajili ya Yahwe, pamoja na fedha na dhahabu kutoka katika mataifa yote aliyokuwa ameyashinda-
Also them he consecrated the king David to Yahweh with the silver and the gold which he had consecrated from all the nations which he had subdued.
12 kutoka Shamu, Moabu, Waamoni, Wafilist, Waamaleki, pamoja na nyara zote alizoziteka kutoka kwa Hadadezeri mwana wa Rehobu, mfalme wa Soba.
From Aram and from Moab and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines and from Amalek and from [the] plunder of Hadadezer [the] son of Rehob [the] king of Zobah.
13 Jina la Daudi likajulikana sana alipowashinda washami katika bonde la Chumvi, pamoja na watu wao wapatao elfu kumi na nane.
And he made David a name when returned he from defeating he Aram in [the] Valley of Salt eight-teen thousand.
14 Akaweka ngome katika Edomu yote, na Waedomu wote wakawa watumishi wake. Yahwe akampa Daudi ushindi kila alipokwenda.
And he put in Edom garrisons in all Edom he put garrisons and it was all Edom servants of David and he gave victory to Yahweh David in every where he went.
15 Daudi akatawala juu ya Israeli yote, naye akatenda kwa haki na usawa kwa watu wote.
And he reigned David over all Israel and he was David doing justice and righteousness for all people his.
16 Yoabu mwana wa Seruya alikuwa mkuu wa jeshi, na Yehoshafati mwana wa Ahiludi alikuwa mwenye kuandika taarifa.
And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah [was] over the army and Jehoshaphat [the] son of Ahilud [was] recorder.
17 Sadoki mwana wa Ahitubu na Ahimeleki mwana wa Abiathari walikuwa makuhani, na Seraya alikuwa mwandishi.
And Zadok [the] son of Ahitub and Ahimelech [the] son of Abiathar [were] priests and Seraiah [was] secretary.
18 Benaya mwana wa Yehoyada alikuwa juu ya Wakerethi na Wapelethi, na wana wa Daudi walikuwa washauri wa mfalme.
And Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite[s] and the Pelethite[s] and [the] sons of David [were] priests they were.
