2 Wafalme 9
1 Nabii Elisha akamwita mmoja wa watoto wa manabii na kumwambia, “Vaa kwa kwa safari, halafu chukua hii chupa ndogo ya mafuta kwenye mikono yako na uende Romoth Geliadi.
Now, Elisha the prophet, called one of the sons of the prophets, —and said to him—Gird up thy loins, and take this flask of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead;
2 Wakati utakapofika, mtafute Yehu mwana wa Yehoshafati mwana wa Nimshi, na uende ukaingie na kumfanya ainuke kutoka miongoni mwa rafiki zake, na ukampeleke katika chumba cha ndani.
and, when thou art come in thither, then look thee out, there, Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi; and thou shalt enter and get him to rise up out of the midst of his brethren, and take him into an inner chamber;
3 Kisha chukua ile chupa ya mafuta na imiminie kwenye kichwa chake na kusema, 'Yahwe anasema hivi: “Nimekumiminia mafuta uwe mfalme juu ya Israeli. “Halafu fungua mlango, na kukimbia; usichelewe.”
then shalt thou take the flask of oil, and pour out upon his head, and say—Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel! Then shalt thou open the door and flee, and not tarry.
4 Basi yule kijana, yule nabii kijana, akaenda Romoth Geliadi.
So the young man went his way—the young man the prophet—unto Ramoth-gilead.
5 Wakati alipofika, kumbe, wale manahodha wa lile jeshi walikuwa wamekaa. Hivyo yule nabii kijana akasema, “Nimekuja mara moja naneno kwako, nahodha.” Yehu akajibu, “kwa yupi katika sisi?” Yule nabii kijana akajibu, “Kwako nahodha.”
And, when he came up, lo! the captains of the force, sitting, and he said—A word, have I, for thee, O captain! And Jehu said—For which, of us all? And he said, —For thee, O captain!
6 Basi Yehu akainuka na kwenda kwenye nyumba, na yule nabii akammiminia mafuta kwenye kichwa chake na kumwambia Yehu, “Yahwe, Mungu wa Israeli, anasema hivi: 'Nimekumiminia mafuta uwe mfalme juu ya watu wa Yahwe, juu ya Isaraeli.
Then rose he up and went inside, and poured out the oil upon his head, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, I have anointed thee to be king unto the people of Yahweh, unto Israel;
7 Wewe lazima uiue familia ya Ahabu bwana wako, ili niweze kulipiza kisasi cha damu ya watumishi wangu manabii, na damu ya watumishi wote wa Yahwe, ambao waliokuwa wameuawa kwa mkono wa Yezebeli.
and thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy lord, —so will I avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, at the hand of Jezebel;
8 Kwa kuwa nyumba yote ya Ahabu itaangamia, na nitamkatilia mbali kila mtoto wa kiume wa Ahabu, yeyote awe mtumwa au mtu huru.
so shall perish all the house of Ahab, —and I will cut off to Ahab the meanest, both him that is shut up and him that is left at large, in Israel.
9 Nitaifanya nyumba ya Ahabu kama nyumba ya Yerobohamu mwana wa Nebati na kama nyumba ya Baasha mwana wa Ahiya.
Yea I will deliver up the house of Ahab, like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, —and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah:
10 Mbwa watamla Yezebeli katika Yezreeli, na hakutakuwa na mtu wa kumzika.” Kisha nabii akafungua mlango na kukimbia.
And, as for Jezebel, the dogs shall eat [her], in the town-land of Jezreel, there being none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
11 Kisha Yehu akatoka kwenda kwa watumishi wa bwana wake, na mmoja akamwambia, “Je kila kitu kiko sawa? Kwa nini huyu mwenda wazimu amekuja kwako?” Yehu akawajibu, “Mnamjua huyo mtu na mambo asemayo.”
Then, Jehu, came forth unto the servants of his lord, and one said to him—Is all well? why came this madman unto thee? And he said unto them, Ye, know, the man and his message.
12 Wakasema, “Huo ni uongo. Tuambie.” Yehu akajibu, “Alisema hivi na vile juu yangu, na pia akasema, 'hivi ndivyo Yahwe asemavyo: Nimekumiminia mafuta kama mfalme juu ya Israeli.””
And they said—False! pray tell, us. And he said, —Thus and thus, spake he unto me, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel.
13 Kisha kila mmoja wao akachukua vazi haraka na kuweka chini ya Yehu juu ya madaraja. Wakapiga baragumu na kusema, “Yehu ni mfalme.”
Then hasted they, and took, every man his garment, and put it under him, upon the very steps, —and blew with a horn, and said, Jehu, is king!
14 Katika njia hii Yehu mwana wa Yehoshafati mwana wa Nimshi akafanya njama juu ya Yoramu. Basi Yoramu alikuwa akiilinda Ramothi Gileadi, yeye na Israeli yote, kwa sababu ya Hazaeli mfalme wa Shamu,
Thus did Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspire against Joram, —when, Joram, was watching Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
15 lakini mfalme Yoramu alikuwa amesharudi kwa Yezreeli ili kuponywa yale majeraha aliyokuwa ameyapewa na Washami, wakati akiwa anapigana dhidi ya Hazaeli mfalme wa Shamu. Yehu akawaambia watumishi wa Yoramu, “kama hili ndilo wazo lako, kisha usimwache mtu aondoke na kwenda nje ya mji, ili aende kupeleka habari hii Yezreeli.”
But Jehoram the king had returned to get himself healed in Jezreel, of the wounds wherewith the Syrians had wounded him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. Then said Jehu—If such is your mind, let no fugitive get forth out of the city, to go and tell it in Jezreel.
16 Basi Yehu akaendesha gari la farasi mpaka Yezreeli; kwa kuwa Yoramu alikuwa amelala huko. Basi Ahazi mfalme wa Yuda alikuwa ameshuka chini kuonana na Yoramu.
So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went towards Jezreel, for, Joram, was lying there, —and, Ahaziah king of Judah, had come down to see Joram.
17 Mlinzi alikuwa amesimama juu ya mnara katika Yezreeli, akaliona lile kundi la Yehu alipokuwa akija kwa mbali kidogo; akasema, “Naona kundi la watu wanakuja.” Yoramu akasema, “Chukua mwendesha farasi, na umtume akakutane nao; mwambie aseme, “Je mnakuja kwa amani?””
Now, the watchman, was standing upon the tower, in Jezreel, so he saw the great company of Jehu, when he came, and said—A great company, can I see! Then said Jehoram—Take a horseman and send to meet them, that he may say—Is it peace?
18 Hivyo mwendesha farasi akatoka kumlaki; akasema, “Mfalme asema hivi: Je mnakuja kwa amani?”' Basi Yehu akasema, “Wewe una nini na amani? Geuka na unifuate nyuma.” Kisha yule mlinzi akamwambia mfalme, Yule mjumbe ameshaonana nao, lakini anarudi.”
So the horseman went to meet him, and said—Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came up to them, but hath not turned back.
19 Kisha akapeleka mpanda farasi wa pili, ambaye alikuja kwao na kusema, “Mfalme asema hivi: 'Je mnakuja na amani?”' Yehu akajibu, “Wewe una nini na amani? Geuka na kunifuata nyuma.
Then sent he a second horseman, and he came up to them and said, Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said—What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
20 Tena yule mlinzi akatoa taarifa, “Amekwisha kuonana nao, lakini hatorudi. Kwa kuwa hilo gari la farasi limekuwa likiendeshwa ndivyo ambavyo Yehu mwana wa Nimshi aendeshavyo; anaendesha kwa kasi.”
And the watchman told, saying, He came up to them, but hath not turned back, —and, the driving, is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi; for, with mad haste, doth he drive.
21 Hivyo Yoramu akasema, “Andaa gari langu la farasi liwe tayari.” Wakaandaa gari lake la farasi, na Yoramu mfalme wa Israeli na Ahazi mfalme wa Yuda akaendesha, kila mmoja kwenye gari lake la farasi, kumlaki Yehu. Wakamkuta kwenye mali ya Nabothi Myezreeli.
Then said Jehoram, Harness! So one harnessed his chariot, —and Jehoram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went forth, each man in his chariot, yea they went forth to meet Jehu, and came upon him in the heritage of Naboth the Jezreelite.
22 Wakati Yoramu alipomuona Yehu, alisema, “Je unakuja katika hali ya amani, Yehu?” Akajibu, “Amani gani hapo, wakati uzinzi wa ukahaba hufanywa na uchawi wa mama yako Yezebeli umejaa tele?”
And it came to pass, when Jehoram saw Jehu, that he said—Is it peace, Jehu? And he said—What can be the peace, while thy mother Jezebel’s harlotries and her incantations do so abound?
23 Basi Yoramu akarudisha magari yake ya farasi na kukimbia na kumwambia Ahazia, “Kuna udanganyifu, Ahazia.
Then Jehoram turned his hands, and fled, —and said unto Ahaziah—Treachery! O Ahaziah!
24 Ndipo Yehu akauvuta upinde wake kwa nguvu zake zote na kumpiga Yoramu kati ya mabega yake; mshale ukaenda kwenye moyo wake, akaanguka chini kwenye gari lake la farasi.
And, Jehu, bent his bow, and smote Jehoram, between his arms, —and the arrow came out at his heart, —and he sank down in his chariot.
25 Ndipo Yehu akamwambia Bidkari nahodha wake, “Mchukue na mtupie kwenye shamba la Nabothi Myezreeni. Fikiria kuhusu vile ambavyo wewe na mimi tulivyoendesha pamoja baada ya Ahabu baba yake, Yahwe aliuweka juu unabii dhidi yake:
Then said he unto Bidkar his officer, Take [him] up, [and] cast him forth, into the field-portion of Naboth the Jezreelite, —for remember, when I and thou were riding as a couple together after Ahab his father, that, Yahweh, laid upon him this doom:
26 Jana niliona damu ya Nabothi na damu ya watoto wake - asema Yahwe - na nitahakikisha unalipia hili shamba - asema Yahwe. Sasa basi, mchukue na mtupe kwenye hili shamba, sawa sawa na neno la Yahwe.”
Surely, the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons, have I lately seen, declareth Yahweh, therefore will I requite thee in this portion, declareth Yahweh. Now, therefore, take [him] up, [and] cast him forth into the portion, according to the word of Yahweh.
27 Wakati Ahazi yule mfalme wa Yuda alipoliona hili, akakimbia kwa njia ya Bethi Hagani. Lakini Yehu akamfuata, na kusema, “Muulie humo kwenye gari la farasi,” na wakampiga mahali pa kupandia Guri, karibu na Ebleamu. Ahazi akakimbilia Megido na kufia pale.
And, Ahaziah king of Judah, saw it, and fled by the way of the garden house, —and Jehu pursued him, and said—Him also! smite him in the chariot! It was in the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Mepidgo, and died there.
28 Watumishi wake wakaubeba mwili wake kwa magari ya farasi kwenda Yerusalemu na kumzika kwenye kaburi lake pamoja na baba zake katika mji wa Daudi.
And his servants conveyed him in a chariot and brought him into Jerusalem, —and buried him in his sepulchre, with his fathers, in the city of David.
29 Basi ilikuwa mwaka wa kumi na moja wa Yoramu mwana wa Ahabu huyo Ahazia akaanza kutawala juu ya Yuda.
Now it was, in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab, that Ahaziah began to reign over Judah.
30 Wakati Yahu alipokuja kwa Yezebeli, Yezebeli akasikia juu ya hilo, akapaka wanja kwenye macho yake, akatengeneza nywele zake vizuri, na kuchungulia kwenye dirisha.
Now, when Jehu entered Jezreel and, Jezebel, heard of it, she set her eyes in stibium, and ornamented her head, and looked forth through the lattice.
31 Kadiri Yehu alipokuwa akiingia kwenye lango, akamwambia, “Je unakuja kwa amani, wewe Zimri, muuaji wa bwana wako?”
So, when, Jehu, had entered in at the gate, she said, Was it peace, when Zimri slew his lord?
32 Yehu akatazama juu ya dirisha na kusema, “Ni nani yuko upande wangu? Nani?” Matowashi wawili au watatu wakachungulia nje.
And he lifted up his face unto the lattice, and said—Who, is with me? Who? And there looked out unto him, two or three eunuchs.
33 Basi Yehu aksema, “Mtupeni chini.” Hivyo wakamtupa Yezebeli chini, na damu yake nyingine ikamwagika kwenye ukuta na farasi, na Yehu akamkanyaga kanyaga chini ya miguu.
And he said—Hurl her down. And they hurled her down, —and there was sprinkled of her blood—upon the wall, and upon the horses, and they trode upon her.
34 Basi Yehu akaingia hiyo sehemu, akala na kunywa. Kisha akasema, “Mtazamani sasa huyu mwanamke aliyelaaniwa na kumzika, kwa kuwa ni binti wa mfalme.”
And, when he had entered and eaten and drunk, he said—Look, I pray you, after this accursed woman, and bury her, for the daughter of a king, she is.
35 Wakaenda kumzika, lakini hawakumkuta ila fuvu, miguu, na viganga vya mikono yake.
So they went to bury her, —but found not of her—save the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
36 Basi wakarudi na kumwambia Yehu. Akasema, “Hili ndilo neno la Yahwe ambalo ameliongea kupitia Eliya Mtishbi, likisema, 'Katika nchi Yezreeli mbwa ataula mwili wa Yezebeli,
Then came they back, and told him, and he said—The word of Yahweh, it is, which he spake by the hand of his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, saying—In the town-land of Jezreel, shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel!
37 na mwili wa Yezebeli utakuwa kama kinyesi juu ya uso wa mashamba katika nchi ya Yezreeli, kwa hiyo basi hakuna atakayeweza kusema, “Huyu ni Yezebeli.””
So shall the carcass of Jezebel become like heaps of dung on the face of the field, in the town-land of Jezreel: So that they cannot say, This, is Jezebel!
