1 Wakaaji wa Yersusalemu wakamfanya Ahazia, mwana mdodgo wa Yehoramu, mfalme katika nafasi yake, kwa maana kundi la watu ambalo lilikuja na Waarabu katika ngome lilikuwa limewauwa wanaye wakubwa wote. Kwa hiyo Ahazia mwana wa Yehoramu, mfalme wa Yuda, akawa mfalme.
And they made king [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem Ahaziah son his young in place of him for all the former [sons] it had killed the marauding band which came with the Arabs to the camp and he became king Ahaziah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah.
2 Ahazia alikuwa na umri wa mika arobaini na mbili alipoanza kutawala; alitawala kwa mwaka mmoja katika Yerusalemu. Jina la mama yake aliitwa Athalia; alikuwa binti Omri.
[was] a son of Forty and two year[s] Ahaziah when became king he and a year one he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Athaliah [the] daughter of Omri.
3 Pia Ahazia alitembea katika njia za nyumba ya Ahabu kwa maana mama yake alikuwa mshauri katika kufanya mamabo maovu.
Also he he walked in [the] ways of [the] house of Ahab for mother his she was [female] counselor his to act wickedly.
4 Ahazia alifanya yaliyokuwa maovu katika macho ya Yahwe, kama nyumba ya Ahabu walivyokuwa wakifanya, kwa maana walikuwa washauri wake baada ya kifo cha baba yake, hadi kuangamia kwake.
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh like [the] house of Ahab for they they were of him counselors after [the] death of father his to destruction of him.
5 Pia aliufuata ushauri wao; akaenda pamoja na Yoramu mwana wa Ahabu, mfalme wa Israeli, kwa ajili ya kupigana dhidi ya Hazaeli, mfalme wa Aramu, huko Ramothi-gileadi. Waaramu wakamjeruhi Yoramu.
Also in counsel their he walked and he went with Jehoram [the] son of Ahab [the] king of Israel to war on Hazael [the] king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead and they wounded the Arameans Joram.
6 Yoramu akaraudi Yezreeli kwa ajili ya kuponywa majeraha ambayo walipa huko Rama, alipopigana dhidi ya Hazaeli, mfalme wa Aramu. Kwa hiyo Ahazia mwana wa Yehoramu, mfalme wa Yuda, akaenda chini Yezreeli ili kumuona Yoramu mwana wa Ahabu, kwa sababu Yoramu alikuwa amejeruhiwa.
And he returned to get himself healed in Jezreel for the wounds which they had wounded him at Ramah when fought he with Hazael [the] king of Aram and Azariah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah he went down to see Jehoram [the] son of Ahab in Jezreel for [was] being ill he.
7 Sasa uharibifu wa Ahazia ulikuwa umeletwa na Mungu kupitia kutembelewa na Yoramu. Alipokuwa amewasiri, alienda pamoja na Yeharamu ili kumvamia Yehu mwana wa Nimshi, ambaye Yahwe alikuwa amemchagua kwa ajili ya kuingamiza nyumba ya Ahabu.
And from God it was [the] downfall of Ahaziah by going to Joram and when went he he went out with Jehoram to Jehu [the] son of Nimshi whom he had anointed him Yahweh to cut off [the] house of Ahab.
8 Ikawa kwamba, Yehu alikuwa akichukua hukumu ya Mungu juu ya nyumba ya Ahabu, kwamba aliwakuta viongozi wa Yuda na wana wa ndugu zake Ahazia wakimtumikia Ahazia. Yehu akawauwa.
And it was when entered into judgment Jehu with [the] house of Ahab and he found [the] officials of Judah and [the] sons of [the] brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah and he killed them.
9 Yehu akamtafuta Ahazia; Wakamkamata akiwa amejificha katika Samaraia, wakamleta kwa Yehu, na wakamuuwa. Kisha wakamzika, kwa maana walisema, “Ni mwana wa Yehoshafati, ambaye alimtafuta Yahwe kwa moyo wake wote.” Kwa hiyo nyumba ya Ahazia haikuwa na nguvu zaidi kwa ajili ya kuutawala ule ufalme.
And he sought to find Ahaziah and people captured him and he [was] hiding himself in Samaria and they brought him to Jehu and they put to death him and they buried him for they said [was] [the] son of Jehoshaphat he who he sought Yahweh with all heart his and not for [the] house of Ahaziah to retain strength for kingship.
10 Sasa Athalia, mama wa Ahazia, akaoana kwamba mwanaye alikuwa amekufa, akaianuka na kuwauwa watoto wote wa kifalme katika nyumba ya Yehu.
And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah she saw that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty of [the] house of Judah.
11 Lakini Yehoshaba, binti wa mfalme, akamchukua Yoashi, mwana wa Ahazia, na akamvutia mbali kutoka miongoni mwa wana wa mfalme ambao waliuawa. Akamuweka yeye na mlezi wake katika chumba cha kulala. Kwa hiyo Yehoshaba, binti wa mfalme Yehoramu, mke wa Yehoiada kuhani (kwa maana alikuwa dada yake Ahazia), akamficha asimuone Athalia, kwa hiyo Athalia hakumuuwa.
And she took Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king who were being put to death and she put him and suckling-nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and she hid him Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Jehoram [the] wife of Jehoiada the priest for she she was [the] sister of Ahaziah from before Athaliah and not she killed him.
12 Alikuwa pamoja nao, wakiwa wamejificha katika nyumba ya Mungu kwa miaka sita, Athalia alipotawala juu ya Yuda.
And he was with them in [the] house of God hiding six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
