1 Timotheo 1
1 Paulo, Mtume wa Kristo Yesu, kulingana na amri ya Mungu na Mwokozi wetu Yesu Kristo aliye ujasiri wetu,
Paul an apostle (of [the] Lord *O*) Christ Jesus according to [the] command of God [the] Savior of us and (Lord *K*) Christ Jesus the hope of us
2 kwa Timotheo mwanangu wa kweli katika imani: Neema, rehema na amani zitokazo kwa Mungu Baba na Kristo Yesu Bwana wetu.
To Timothy [my] true child in [the] faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace from God [the] Father (of us *K*) and Christ Jesus the Lord of us.
3 Kama nilivyokusihi nilipoondoka kwenda Makedonia, ubaki Efeso ili kwamba uweze kuwaamru watu fulani wasifundishe mafundisho tofauti.
even as I urged you to remain in Ephesus [when] I was going to Macedonia so that you may warn certain men not to teach other doctrines
4 Pia wasisikilize hadithi na orodha za nasaba zisizo na mwisho. Haya husababisha mabishano zaidi kuliko kuwasaidia kuendeleza mpango wa Mungu wa imani.
nor to give heed to myths and to genealogies endless, which (speculations *N(k)O*) bring rather than stewardship of God which [is] in faith.
5 Basi lengo la agizo hili ni upendo utokao katika moyo safi, katika dhamiri nzuri na katika imani ya kweli.
And the goal of [our] instruction is love out of a pure heart and a conscience good and a faith sincere,
6 Baadhi ya watu wamelikosa lengo wakayaacha mafundisho haya na kugeukia mazungumzo ya kipumbavu.
from which some having missed the mark they have turned aside to meaningless discourse
7 Wanataka kuwa waalimu wa sheria, lakini hawafahamu wanachosema au wanachosisitiza.
desiring to be teachers of the Law, not understanding neither what they are saying nor [that] about which they confidently assert.
8 lakini tunajua kwamba sheria ni njema kama mtu ataitumia kwa usahihi.
We know now that good [is] the law if one it lawfully shall use,
9 Tunajua kuwa, sheria haikutungwa kwa ajili ya mtu mwenye haki, bali kwa ajili ya wavunja sheria na waasi, watu wasio wataua na wenye dhambi, na ambao hawana Mungu na waovu. Imetungwa kwa ajili ya wauao baba na mama zao, kwa ajili ya wauaji,
knowing this, that for a righteous [one] law not is enacted, for [the] lawless however and insubordinate, for [the] ungodly and sinful, for [the] unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for slayers of man,
10 kwa ajili ya waasherati, kwa ajili ya watu wazinzi, kwa ajili ya wale wanaoteka watu na kuwafanya watumwa, kwa ajili ya waongo, kwa ajili ya mashahidi wa uongo, na yeyote aliye kinyume na maelekezo ya uaminifu.
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for enslavers, for liars, for perjurers, and if anything other which to sound teaching is opposed
11 Malekezo haya yanatokana na injili yenye utukufu ya Mungu mwenye kubarakiwa ambayo kwayo nimeaminiwa.
according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, with which was entrusted I myself.
12 Ninamshukuru Yesu Kristo Bwana wetu. Alinitia nguvu, kwa kuwa alinihesabu mimi kuwa mwaminifu, na akaniweka katika huduma.
(and *k*) Thankfulness I have for the [One] having strengthened me for Christ Jesus the Lord of us that faithful me He esteemed having appointed [me] to service,
13 Nilikuwa mtu wa kukufuru, mtesaji na mtu wa vurugu. Lakini nilipata rehema kwa sababu nilitenda kwa ujinga kwa kutoamini.
(*N(k)O*) formerly being a blasphemer and a persecutor and insolent; but I was shown mercy, because being ignorant I did [it] in unbelief;
14 Lakini neema ya Mungu wetu imejaa imani na upendo ulio katika Kristo Yesu.
Surpassingly increased then the grace of the Lord of us with [the] faith and love that [are] in Christ Jesus.
15 Ujumbe huu ni wa kuaminika na unastahili kupokelewa na wote, ya kuwa Kristo Yesu alikuja duniani kuokoa wenye dhambi. Mimi ni mbaya zaidi ya wote.
Trustworthy [is] the saying and of full acceptance worthy that Christ Jesus came into the world sinners to save, of whom [the] foremost am I myself;
16 Lakini kwa sababu hii mimi nilipewa rehema ili kwamba ndani yangu mimi, awali ya yote, Kristo Yesu adhihirishe uvumilivu wote. Alifanya hivyo kama kielelezo kwa wote watakaomtumaini Yeye kwa ajili ya uzima wa milele. (aiōnios g166)
But because of this I was shown mercy, that in me myself [the] foremost may display Christ Jesus ([his] perfect *N(K)O*) patience as a pattern for those being about to believe on Him to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
17 Na sasa kwa Mfalme asiye na ukomo, asiyekufa, asiyeonekana, Mungu pekee, iwe heshima na utukufu milele na milele. Amina. (aiōn g165)
now to the King of the ages, [the] immortal invisible only (wise *K*) God, [be] honor and glory to the ages of the ages, Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Ninaliweka agizo hili mbele yako Timotheo, mtoto wangu. Nafanya hivi kulingana na unabii uliotolewa hapo kwanza kukuhusu wewe, ili kwamba uhusike katika vita njema.
This charge I commit to you, [my] child Timothy, according to the going before as to you prophecies, that (you may war *NK(o)*) by them the good warfare
19 Fanya hivyo ili kwamba uwe na imani na dhamiri njema. Baadhi ya watu wameyakataa haya wakaangamiza imani.
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having cast away concerning the faith caused a shipwreck,
20 Kama vile Himeneyo na Alekizanda ambao nimempa shetani ili wafundishwe wasikufuru.
among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander whom I have handed over to Satan that they may be disciplined not to blaspheme.
