1 Wakorintho 16
1 Sasa kuhusu michango kwa ajili ya waumini, kama nilivyo elekeza makanisa ya Galatia, vivyo hivyo mwapaswa kufanya.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2 Katika siku ya kwanza ya wiki, kila mmoja wenu aweke kitu fulani kando na kukihifadhi, kama muwezavyo. Fanyeni hivyo ili kwamba kusiwe na michango wakati nikija.
Upon the first [day] of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no collections when I come.
3 Na nitakapofika, yeyote mtakayemchagua, nitamtuma pamoja na barua kutoa sadaka yenu huko Yerusalem.
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by [your] letters, them will I send to bring your liberality to Jerusalem.
4 Na kama ni sahihi kwa mimi kwenda pia, watakwenda pamoja nami.
And if it be proper that I should go also, they shall go with me.
5 Lakini nitakuja kwenu, wakati ninapitia Makedonia. Kwa kuwa nitapitia Makedonia.
Now I will come to you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I am to pass through Macedonia.
6 Labda naweza kukaa nanyi au hata kumaliza majira ya baridi, ili kwamba muweze kunisaidia katika safari yangu, popote niendako.
And it may be that I shall abide, and even winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
7 Kwa kuwa sitarajii kuwaona sasa kwa muda mfupi. Kwani ninatumaini kukaa nanyi kwa muda fulani, kama Bwana ataniruhusu.
For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
8 Lakini nitakaa Efeso mpaka Pentekoste,
But I shall tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
9 kwa kuwa mlango mpana umefunguliwa kwa ajili yangu, na kuna maadui wengi wanipingao.
For a great door and effectual is opened to me, and [there are] many adversaries.
10 Sasa wakati Timotheo akija, muoneni kwamba yuko na ninyi pasipo kuogopa, anafanya kazi ya Bwana, kama ninavyofanya.
Now if Timothy come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also [do].
11 Mtu yeyote asimdharau. Mumsaidie katika njia yake kwa amani, ili kwamba aweze kuja kwangu. Kwa kuwa ninamtarajia aje pamoja na ndugu.
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come to me: for I look for him with the brethren.
12 Sasa kuhusiana na ndugu yetu Apolo. Nilimtia moyo sana kuwatembelea ninyi pamoja na ndugu. Lakini aliamua kutokuja kwa sasa. Hata hivyo, atakuja wakati ana nafasi.
As concerning [our] brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come to you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
13 Muwe macho, simameni imara, mtende kama wanaume, muwe na nguvu.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, acquit yourselves like men, be strong.
14 Basi yote myafanyayo yafanyike katika upendo.
Let all your things be done with charity.
15 Mnaijua kaya ya Stefana. Mnajua kwamba walikuwa waamini wa kwanza huko Akaya, na kwamba walijiweka wenyewe kwenye huduma ya waumini. Na sasa nawasihi, kaka na dada zangu,
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and [that] they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints, )
16 kuweni wanyenyekevu kwa watu kama hao, na kwa kila mtu anayesaidia katika kazi na watenda kazi pamoja nasi.
That ye submit yourselves to such, and to every one that helpeth with [us], and laboreth.
17 Na ninafurahi kwa ujio wa Stefana, Fotunato, na Akiko. Wamesimama mahali ambapo ninyi mgepaswa kuwa.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part, they have supplied.
18 Kwa kuwa wameifurahisha roho yangu na yenu. Kwa hiyo sasa, watambueni watu kama hawa.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
19 Makanisa ya Asia wametuma salamu kwenu. Akila na Priska wanawasalimu katika Bwana, pamoja na kanisa lililoko nyumbani kwao.
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
20 Kaka na dada zangu wote wanawasalimu. Salimianeni kwa busu takatifu.
All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with a holy kiss.
21 Mimi, Paulo, naandika hivi kwa mkono wangu.
The salutation of [me] Paul with my own hand.
22 Kama yeyote hampendi Bwana, basi laana iwe juu yake. Bwana wetu, njoo!
If any man loveth not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema, Maran-atha.
23 Neema ya Bwana Yesu iwe nanyi.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
24 Upendo wangu uwe pamoja nanyi katika Kristo Yesu.
My love [be] with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
