1 Hawa ndio wana wa Israeli: Reubeni, Simioni, Lawi, Yuda, Isakari, Zebuloni,
These, are the sons of Israel, —Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;
2 Dani, Yusufu, Benyamini, Naftali, Gadi, na Asheri.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher,
3 Wana wa Yuda walikuwa Eri, Onani, na Shela, ambao walizaliwa na binti wa Shua, Wakanaani. Eri, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Yuda, alikuwa muovu katika macho ya Yahweh, na Yahweh akamwua.

5 Wana wa Peresi walikuwa Hesroni na Hamuli.
The sons of Perez, Hezron and Hamul.
6 Wana wa Zera walikuwa Zimri, Ethani, Hemani, Kalikoli na Darda, wote kwa jumla ni watano.
And, the sons of Zerah, Zimri and Ethan, and Heman and Calcol and Dara, all of them, five.

And, the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Calubai.
10 Ramu akawa baba wa Aminadabu, na Aminadabu akawa baba wa Nashoni, kiongozi miongoni uzao wa Yuda.
And, Ram, begat Amminadab, —and, Amminadab, begat Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah.
11 Nashoni akawa baba wa Salmoni, na Salmon akawa baba wa Boazi.
And, Nahshon, begat Salma, and, Salma, begat Boaz;
12 Boazi akawa baba wa Obedi, na Obedi akawa baba wa Yese.
and, Boaz, begat Obed, and, Obed, begat Jesse;
13 Yese akawa baba wa mzaliwa wake wa kwanza Eliabu, wa pili Abinadabu, wa tatu Shama.
and, Jesse, begat—his firstborn, Eliab, —and Abinadab, the second, and Shimea, the third;
14 Nethaneli wa nne, Radai wa tano.
Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth;
15 Ozemu wa sita, na Daudi wa saba.
Ozem, the sixth, David, the seventh.
16 Dada zao walikuwa Seruya na Abigaili. Wana wa Seruya walikuwa Abishai, Yoabu, na Asaheli, jumla watatu.
And, their sisters, were Zeruiah and Abigail, —and, the sons of Zeruiah, Abishai and Joab and Asahel, three,

And, Abigail, bare Amasa, —and, the father of Amasa, was Jether the Ishmaelite.

And, Caleb son of Hezron, begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth, —and, these, were her sons, Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.

And Azubah died, —and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, and she bare to him Hur.
20 Huri akawa baba wa Uri, na Uri akawa baba wa Besaleli.
And, Hur, begat Uri, and, Uri, begat Bezalel.
21 Baadae Hesroni (alipo kuwa na miaka sitini) akamuoa binti wa Makiri, baba wa Gileadi. Akamzalia Segubu.
And, afterward, Hezron went in unto the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old, —and she bare him Segub.
22 Segubu akawa baba wa Yairi, aliye miliki miji ishirini na mitatu katika nchi ya Gileadi.
And, Segub, begat Jair, —who came to have twenty-three cities, in the land of Gilead;
23 Geshuri na Aramu wakawapokonya miji ya Yairi na Kenathi, pamoja na miji sitini iliyo zunguka. Hawa wakazi wote walikuwa ni uzao wa Makiri, baba wa Gileadi.
but Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and the villages thereof, sixty cities. All these, were the sons of Machir, father of Gilead.
24 Baada ya kifo cha Hesroni, Kalebu akalala na Efrata, mke wa baba yake Hesroni. Akamzalia Ashuri, baba wa Tekoa.
And, after the death of Hezron, Caleb entered Ephrathah, —and, the wife of Hezron, was Abiah, who bare him Ashur, father of Tekoa.
25 Wana wa Yerameeli, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Hesroni, walikuwa ni Ramu mzaliwa wa kwanza, Buna, Oreni, Ozemu, na Ahiya.
And the sons of Jerahmeel firstborn of Hezron were, the firstborn, Ram, —and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem [of] Ahijah.
26 Yerameeli alikuwa na mke mwingine, Jina lake lilikuwa Atara. Yeye alikuwa mama wa Onamu.
And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name, was Atarah, —the same, was the mother of Onam.
27 Wana wa Ramu, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Yerameeli, walikuwa Maasi, Yamini, na Ekeri.
And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerameel, were, —Maaz and Jamin, and Eker.
28 Wana wa Onamu walikuwa ni Shamai na Yada. Wana wa Shamai walikuwa ni Nadabu na Abishuri.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai and Jada, —and, the sons of Shammai, Nadab and Abishur.
29 Jina la mke wa Abishuri lilikuwa Abihaili, na akamzalia Abani na Molidi.
And, the name of the wife of Abishur, was Abihail, —and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30 Wana wa Nadabu walikuwa Seledi na Apaimu, lakini Seledi alikufa pasipo watoto.
And, the sons of Nadab, Seled and Appaim, —but Seled died without sons.
31 Mwana wa Apaimu alikuwa Ishi. Mwana wa Ishi alikuwa Sheshani. Mwana wa Sheshani alikuwa Alai.
And, the sons of Appaim, Ishi, and, the sons of Ishi, Sheshan, and, the sons of Sheshan, Ahlai.
32 Wana wa Yada, kaka yake Shamai, walikuwa Yetheri na Yonathani. Yetheri alikufa pasipo mtoto.
And, the sons of Jada, brother of Shammai, Jether, and Jonathan, —but Jether died without sons.
33 Wana wa Yonathani walikuwa Pelethi na Zaza. Hawa ndio uzao wa Yerameeli.
And the sons of Jonathan, Peleth and Zaza. These, were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Sasa Sheshani hakuwa na watoto wa kiume, bali wa kike pekee. Sheshani alikuwa na mtumishi, wa Kimisri, ambaye jina lake lilikuwa Yariha.
Now Sheshan had, no sons, but, daughters, —and, Sheshan, had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha;
35 Sheshani alimkabidhi binti yake kwa Yariha mtumishi wake kama mke wake. Akamzalia Atai.
so Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant, to wife, —and she bare him Attai.
36 Atai akawa baba wa Nathani, na Nathani akawa baba wa Zabadi.
And, Attai, begat Nathan, and, Nathan, begat Zabad;
37 Zabadi akawa baba wa Efalali, na Afalali akawa baba wa Obedi.
and, Zabad, begat Ephlal, and, Ephlal, begat Obed;
38 Obedi akawa baba wa Yehu, na Yehu akawa baba wa Azaria.
and, Obed, begat Jehu, and, Jehu, begat Azariah;
39 Azaria akawa baba wa Helesi, na Helesi akawa baba wa Eleasa.
and, Azariah, begat Helez, and, Helez, begat Eleasah;
40 Eleasa akawa baba wa Sismai, na Sismai akawa baba wa Shalumu.
and, Eleasah, begat Sismai, and, Sismai, begat Shallum;
41 Shalumu akawa baba wa Yekamia, na Yekamia akawa baba wa Elishama.
and, Shallum, begat Jekamiah, and, Jekamiah, begat Elishama.
42 Wana wa Kalebu, kaka yake Yerameeli, walikuwa ni Mesha mzaliwa wake wa kwanza, aliye kuwa baba wa Zifu. Mwanae wa pili, Maresha, allikuwa baba wa Hebroni.
Now, the sons of Caleb, brother of Jerahmeel, were, Mesha his firstborn, the same, was the father of Ziph, —and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Wana wa Hebroni walikuwa Kora, Tapua, Rekemu, na Shema.
And, the sons of Hebron, Korah and Tappuah, and Rekem and Shema.
44 Shema akawa baba wa Rahamu, baba wa Yorkeamu. Rekemu akawa baba wa Shamai.
And, Shema, begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam, —and, Rekem, begat Shammai.
45 Mwana wa Shamai alikuwa Maoni, na Maoni alikuwa baba wa Bethsuri.
And, the son of Shammai, was Maon, —and, Maon, was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Efa, suria wa Kalebu, alimza Harani, Mosa, na Gazezi. Harani akawa baba wa Gazezi.
And, Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bare Haran and Moza, and Gazez, —and, Haran, begat Gazez.
47 Wana wa Yadai walikuwa Regemu, Yothamu, Geshani, Peleti, Efa, na Shaafa.
And, the sons of Jahdai, Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet, and Ephah and Shaaph.
48 Maaka, suria wa Kalebu, alimza Sheberi na Tirhana.
A concubine of Caleb, Maacah, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah;
49 Pia akamza Shaafu baba wa Madmana, Sheva baba wa Makbena na baba wa Gibea. Binti wa Kalebu alikuwa Aksa. Hawa walikuwa uzao wa Kalebu.
she also bare Shaaph, father of Madmannah, Sheva, father of Machbena, and father of Gibea, —and, the daughter of Caleb, was Achsah.
50 Hawa walikuwa wana wa Huri, mzaliwa wake wa kwanza kwa Efratha: Shobali baba wa Kiriath-Yearimu.
These, were the sons of Caleb, sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah, —Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51 Salma baba wa Bethlehemu, na Harefu baba wa Beth-gaderi.
Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Beth-gader.
52 Shobali baba wa kiriath-Yearimu alikuwa na uzao: Haroe, nusu ya watu Wamenuthite,
And Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons, —Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.
53 na ukoo wa Kiriath-Yearimu: Waithri, Waputhi, Washumathi, na Wamishrai. Wasorathi na Waeshtaoli walitoka huku.
And, the families of Kiriath-jearim, were the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites, —from these, came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.
54 Ukoo wa Salma ulikuwa kama ufatao: Bethlehemu, Wanetofathi, Atroth-Beth-Yoabu, na nusu ya Wamenuhothi na Wazori,
The sons of Salma, were Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atrothbeth-joab, —and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites;
55 ukoo wa waandishi walio ishi Yabesi: Watirathi, Washimeathi, na Wasukathi. Hawa walikuwa Wakeni walio toka katika uzao wa Hamathi, babu wa Warekabu.
and the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. The same, are the Kenites who came in from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.
