1 Baada ya haya Daudi akawashambulia Wafilisti na kuwashinda. Alichukuwa Gathi na vijiji vyake katika utawala wa Wafilisti.
And after this Dauid smote the Philistims, and subdued them, and tooke Gath, and the villages thereof out of the hand of the Philistims.
2 Kisha akamshinda Moabu, na Wamoabu wakawa watumishi wa Daudi na wakamlipa ushuru maalumu.
And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes.
3 Daudi kisha akamshinda Hadadezeri, mfalme wa Zoba huko Hamathi, wakati Hadadezeri alipo kuwa akisafiri kuimarisha utawala wake kwa Mto wa Frati.
And Dauid smote Hadarezer King of Zobah vnto Hamath, as he went to stablish his border by the riuer Perath.
4 Daudi akateka magari ya farasi elfu, wanaume wa farasi elfu saba, na wanajeshi wa miguu elfu ishirini. Daudi aliwajeruhi farasi wote wagari, lakini akahifadhi baadhi kwa ajili ya magari ya farasi mia moja.
And Dauid tooke from him a thousand charets, and seuen thousand horsemen, and twentie thousand footemen, and destroyed all the charets, but he reserued of them an hundreth charets.
5 Waaramia wa Damasko walipo kuja kumsaidia Hadadezeri mfalme wa Zoba, Daudi aliua wanaume elfu ishirini na mbili wa Kiaramia.
Then came the Aramites of Damascus to succour Hadarezer King of Zobah, but Dauid slewe of the Aramites two and twentie thousand.
6 Kisha Daudi akaweka vikosi huko Aramu ya Damasko, na Waaramia wakawa watumishi wake na wakamletea ushuru maalaumu. Yahweh alimpatia Daudi ushindi popote alipoenda.
And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.
7 Daudi alichukua ngao za dhahabu zilizo kuwa kwa watumishi wa Hadadezeri na kuleta Yerusalemu.
And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that were of the seruants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Ierusalem.
8 Kutoka Tibhathi na Kuni, miji ya Hadadezeri, Daudi alichukuwa shaba nyingi sana. Ilikuwa shaba hii ambayo baadae Sulemani alifanya saani ya shaba, nguzo, na vifaa vya shaba.
And from Tibhath, and from Chun (cities of Hadarezer) brought Dauid exceeding much brasse, wherewith Salomon made the brasen Sea, and the pillars and the vessels of brasse.
9 Wakati Toi, mfalme wa Hamathi, alipo sikia kuwa Daudi ameshinda majeshi yote ya Hadadezeri mfalme wa Zoba,
Then Tou King of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadarezer King of Zobah:
10 Toi akamtuma Hadoramu mwanae kwa Mfalme Daudi kumsalimia na kumbariki, kwasababu Daudi amepigana na Hadadezeri na kumshinda, na kwasababu Hadadezeri alifanya vita na Toi. Hadoramu alipeleka vifaa vya fedha, dhahabu, na shaba.
Therefore he sent Hadoram his sonne to King Dauid, to salute him, and to reioyce with him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and beaten him (for Tou had warre with Hadarezer) who brought all vessels of golde and siluer and brasse.
11 Mfalme Daudi alivitenga hivi vitu kwa ajili ya Yahweh, pamoja na fedha na dhahabu aliyo ibeba kutoka kwa mataifa yote: Edomu, Moabu, watu wa Amoni, Wafilisti, na Waamaleki.
And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord, with the siluer and golde that hee brought from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistims, and from Amalek.
12 Abishai mwana wa Zeruia akawaua Waedomi elfu kumi na nane katika Bonde la Chumvi.
And Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah smote of Edom in the salt valley eighteene thousand,
13 Alieka vikosi huko Edomu, na Waedomi wote wakawa watumishi wa Daudi. Yahweh alimpa Daudi ushindi pote alipoenda.
And he put a garison in Edom, and all the Edomites became Dauids seruantes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.
14 Daudi alitawala Israeli yote, na alitenda haki na utaua kwa watu wote.
So Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice to all his people.
15 Yoabu mwana wa Zeruia walikuwa mkuu wa jeshi, na Yehoshafati mwana wa Ahiludi alikuwa mtunza kumbukumbu.
And Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah was ouer the hoste, and Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud recorder,
16 Zadoki mwana wa Ahitubi na Ahimeleki mwana wa Abiathari walikuwa makuhani, na Shavisha alikuwa mwandishi.
And Zadok the sonne of Ahitub, and Abimelech the sonne of Abiathar were the Priests, and Shausha the Scribe,
17 Benaia mwana wa Yehoiada alikuwa mwangalizi wa Wakerethi na Wapelethi, na wana wa Daudi walikuwa washauri wakuu wa mfalme.
And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the Cherethites and the Pelethites: and the sonnes of Dauid were chiefe about the King.
