< Warumi 12 >
Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to everyone among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function,
so we, who are many, are one body in Messiah, and individually members one of another.
And we have different gifts according to the grace that was given to us. If prophecy, according to the proportion of the faith;
if service, in the service; if teaching, in the teaching;
if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, in generosity; leading, in diligence; showing mercy, in cheerfulness.
9 Upendo lazima usiwe na unafiki. Chukieni lililo ovu, shikamaneni na lililo jema.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate one to another; outdo one another in showing honor;
not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;
13 Changieni katika mahitaji ya watakatifu, wakaribisheni wageni.
contributing to the needs of the kadoshim; given to hospitality.
14 Wabarikini wale wanaowatesa, barikini wala msilaani.
Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
15 Furahini pamoja na wenye kufurahi, lieni pamoja na wale waliao.
Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
16 Kaeni kwa amani ninyi kwa ninyi. Msijivune, bali mwe tayari kushirikiana na wanyonge. Wala msiwe watu wenye kujivuna kwamba mnajua kila kitu.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be arrogant, but associate with the humble. Do not be conceited.
Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all people.
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all people.
19 Wapendwa, msilipize kisasi, bali ipisheni ghadhabu ya Mungu, maana imeandikwa: “Ni juu yangu kulipiza kisasi, nitalipiza,” asema Bwana.
Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for the wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."
Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
