1 Mwimbieni Bwana wimbo mpya; mwimbieni Bwana dunia yote.

Oh, sing to Yahweh a new song; sing to Yahweh, all the earth.

2 Mwimbieni Bwana, lisifuni jina lake; tangazeni wokovu wake siku baada ya siku.

Sing to Yahweh, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.

3 Tangazeni utukufu wake katikati ya mataifa, matendo yake ya ajabu miongoni mwa mataifa yote.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all the nations.

4 Kwa kuwa Bwana ni mkuu mwenye kustahili kusifiwa kuliko wote; yeye ni wa kuogopwa kuliko miungu yote.

For Yahweh is great and is to be praised greatly. He is to be feared above all other gods.

5 Kwa maana miungu yote ya mataifa ni sanamu, lakini Bwana aliziumba mbingu.

For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is Yahweh who made the heavens.

6 Fahari na enzi viko mbele yake; nguvu na utukufu vimo patakatifu pake.

Splendor and majesty are in his presence. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Mpeni Bwana, enyi jamaa za mataifa, mpeni Bwana utukufu na nguvu.

Ascribe to Yahweh, you clans of peoples, ascribe praise to Yahweh for his glory and strength.

8 Mpeni Bwana utukufu unaostahili jina lake; leteni sadaka na mje katika nyua zake.

Give to Yahweh the glory that his name deserves. Bring an offering and come into his courts.

9 Mwabuduni Bwana katika uzuri wa utakatifu wake; dunia yote na itetemeke mbele zake.

Bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Katikati ya mataifa semeni, “Bwana anatawala.” Ulimwengu ameuweka imara, hauwezi kusogezwa; atawahukumu watu kwa uadilifu.

Say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” The world also is established; it cannot be shaken. He judges the peoples fairly.

11 Mbingu na zishangilie, nchi na ifurahi; bahari na ivume, na vyote vilivyomo ndani yake;

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar and that which fills it shout with joy.

12 mashamba na yashangilie, pamoja na vyote vilivyomo ndani yake. Kisha miti yote ya msituni itaimba kwa furaha;

Let the fields rejoice and all that is in them. Then let all the trees in the forest shout for joy

13 itaimba mbele za Bwana kwa maana anakuja, anakuja kuihukumu dunia. Ataihukumu dunia kwa haki, na mataifa katika kweli yake.

before Yahweh, for he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his faithfulness.
