1 Bwana anatawala, amejivika utukufu; Bwana amejivika utukufu tena amejivika nguvu. Dunia imewekwa imara, haitaondoshwa.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, [with which] he hath girded himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

2 Kiti chako cha enzi kimekuwa thabiti tangu zamani; wewe umekuwako tangu milele.

Thy throne [is] established of old: thou [art] from everlasting.

3 Bahari zimeinua, Ee Bwana, bahari zimeinua sauti zake; bahari zimeinua sauti za mawimbi yake.

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift their waves.

4 Yeye ni mkuu kuliko ngurumo ya maji makuu, ni mkuu kuliko mawimbi ya bahari: Bwana aishiye juu sana ni mkuu.

The LORD on high [is] mightier than the noise of many waters, [yes], [than] the mighty waves of the sea.

5 Ee Bwana, sheria zako ni imara; utakatifu umepamba nyumba yako pasipo mwisho.

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thy house, O LORD, for ever.
