1 Zaburi ya wana wa Kora. Wimbo. Ameuweka msingi wake katika mlima mtakatifu;

A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. The Lord founded the city on his holy mountain.

2 Bwana anayapenda malango ya Sayuni kuliko makao yote ya Yakobo.

Jerusalem is the city that the Lord loves more than any other city in Israel.

3 Mambo matukufu yanasemwa juu yako, ee mji wa Mungu:

Many wonderful things are said of you, city of God! (Selah)

4 “Nitaweka kumbukumbu ya Rahabu na Babeli miongoni mwa wale wanaonikubali mimi: Ufilisti pia na Tiro, pamoja na Kushi, nami nitasema, ‘Huyu alizaliwa Sayuni.’”

I mention Egypt and Babylon as those who know me, and in addition Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia—“this man was born there.”

5 Kuhusu Sayuni itasemwa hivi, “Huyu na yule walizaliwa humo, naye Aliye Juu Sana mwenyewe atamwimarisha.”

It will be said concerning Jerusalem, “Everyone was born there,” and the Most High will make it secure.

6 Bwana ataandika katika orodha ya mataifa: “Huyu alizaliwa Sayuni.”

When the Lord registers the nations, he will write, “They were born there.” (Selah)

7 Watakapokuwa wanapiga vinanda wataimba, “Chemchemi zangu zote ziko kwako.”

Singers and dancers alike say, “Living here I am at home.”
