1 Wimbo. Zaburi ya Asafu. Ee Mungu, usinyamaze kimya, usinyamaze, Ee Mungu, usitulie.
A Song, — A Psalm of Asaph. O God, let there be no silence to Thee, Be not silent, nor be quiet, O God.
2 Tazama watesi wako wanafanya fujo, jinsi adui zako wanavyoinua vichwa vyao.
For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head,
3 Kwa hila, wanafanya shauri dhidi ya watu wako, wanafanya shauri baya dhidi ya wale unaowapenda.
Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones.
4 Wanasema, “Njooni, tuwaangamize kama taifa, ili jina la Israeli lisikumbukwe tena.”
They have said, 'Come, And we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.'
5 Kwa nia moja wanapanga mashauri mabaya pamoja, wanafanya muungano dhidi yako,
For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make,
6 mahema ya Edomu na Waishmaeli, ya Wamoabu na Wahagari,
Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
7 Gebali, Amoni na Amaleki, Ufilisti, pamoja na watu wa Tiro.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
8 Hata Ashuru wameungana nao kuwapa nguvu wazao wa Loti.
Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Uwatendee kama vile ulivyowatendea Midiani, na kama vile ulivyowatendea Sisera na Yabini hapo kijito cha Kishoni,
Do to them as [to] Midian, As [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the stream Kishon.
10 ambao waliangamia huko Endori na wakawa kama takataka juu ya nchi.
They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
11 Wafanye wakuu wao kama Orebu na Zeebu, watawala wao kama Zeba na Salmuna,
Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes,
12 ambao walisema, “Na tumiliki nchi ya malisho ya Mungu.”
Who have said, 'Let us occupy for ourselves The comely places of God.'
13 Ee Mungu wangu, wapeperushe kama mavumbi ya kisulisuli, kama makapi yapeperushwayo na upepo.
O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
14 Kama vile moto uteketezavyo msitu au mwali wa moto unavyounguza milima,
As a fire doth burn a forest, And as a flame setteth hills on fire,
15 wafuatilie kwa tufani yako na kuwafadhaisha kwa dhoruba yako.
So dost Thou pursue them with Thy whirlwind, And with Thy hurricane troublest them.
16 Funika nyuso zao kwa aibu ili watu walitafute jina lako, Ee Bwana.
Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah.
17 Wao na waaibishwe na kufadhaishwa milele, na waangamie kwa aibu.
They are ashamed and troubled for ever, Yea, they are confounded and lost.
18 Hebu wajue kwamba wewe, ambaye jina lako ni Bwana, kwamba wewe peke yako ndiwe Uliye Juu Sana ya dunia yote.
And they know that Thou — (Thy name [is] Jehovah — by Thyself, ) [Art] the Most High over all the earth!
