Zaburi 70

1 Kwa mwimbishaji. Zaburi ya Daudi. Maombi. Ee Mungu, ufanye haraka kuniokoa; Ee Bwana, njoo hima unisaidie.

Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him. O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.

2 Wale wanaotafuta kuuondoa uhai wangu, waaibishwe na kufadhaishwa; wote wanaotamani kuangamizwa kwangu, warudishwe nyuma kwa aibu.

Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:

3 Wale waniambiao, “Aha! Aha!” warudi nyuma kwa sababu ya aibu yao.

Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.

4 Lakini wote wakutafutao washangilie na kukufurahia, wale wapendao wokovu wako siku zote waseme, “Mungu na atukuzwe!”

Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.

5 Lakini bado mimi ni maskini na mhitaji; Ee Mungu, unijie haraka. Wewe ndiwe msaada wangu na mwokozi wangu; Ee Bwana, usikawie.

But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.
