1 Kwa mwimbishaji. Zaburi ya wana wa Kora. Mtindo wa alamothi. Mungu kwetu sisi ni kimbilio na nguvu, msaada utakaoonekana tele wakati wa mateso.
To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. On Alamoth. A song. God is our refuge and strength, a help in distresses, very readily found.
2 Kwa hiyo hatutaogopa, hata kama dunia ikiondolewa nayo milima ikiangukia moyoni mwa bahari.
Therefore will we not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the heart of the seas;
3 Hata kama maji yake yatanguruma na kuumuka, milima nayo ikitetemeka kwa mawimbi yake.
Though the waters thereof roar [and] foam, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. (Selah)
4 Kuna mto ambao vijito vyake vinaufurahisha mji wa Mungu, mahali patakatifu ambako Aliye Juu Sana anaishi.
There is a river the streams whereof make glad the city of God, the sanctuary of the habitations of the Most High.
5 Mungu yuko katikati yake, hautaanguka, Mungu atausaidia asubuhi na mapema.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her at the dawn of the morning.
6 Mataifa yanafanya ghasia, falme zinaanguka, Yeye huinua sauti yake, dunia ikayeyuka.
The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote yu pamoja nasi, Mungu wa Yakobo ni ngome yetu.
Jehovah of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high fortress. (Selah)
8 Njooni mkaone kazi za Bwana jinsi alivyofanya ukiwa katika nchi.
Come, behold the works of Jehovah, what desolations he hath made in the earth:
9 Anakomesha vita hata miisho ya dunia, anakata upinde na kuvunjavunja mkuki, anateketeza ngao kwa moto.
He hath made wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariots in the fire.
10 “Tulieni, mjue ya kwamba mimi ndimi Mungu; nitatukuzwa katikati ya mataifa, nitatukuzwa katika dunia.”
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote yu pamoja nasi; Mungu wa Yakobo ni ngome yetu.
