1 Kwa mwimbishaji. Mtindo wa utenzi wa “Yungiyungi.” Utenzi wa wana wa Kora. Wimbo wa arusi. Moyo wangu umesisimuliwa na jambo jema ninapomsimulia mfalme mabeti yangu; ulimi wangu ni kalamu ya mwandishi stadi.
TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON “LILIES.” AN INSTRUCTION OF THE SONS OF KORAH. A SONG OF LOVES. My heart has stirred a good word, I am telling my works to the King, My tongue [is] the pen of a speedy writer.
2 Wewe ni bora kuliko watu wengine wote na midomo yako imepakwa neema, kwa kuwa Mungu amekubariki milele.
You have been beautified above the sons of men, Grace has been poured into Your lips, Therefore God has blessed You for all time.
3 Jifunge upanga wako pajani mwako, ee mwenye nguvu, jivike fahari na utukufu.
Gird Your sword on the thigh, O Mighty [One], Your splendor and Your majesty!
4 Katika fahari yako, songa mbele kwa ushindi, kwa ajili ya kweli, unyenyekevu na haki, mkono wako wa kuume na uonyeshe matendo ya kutisha.
As for Your majesty—prosper [and] ride! Because of truth, meekness, [and] righteousness, And Your right hand shows You fearful things.
5 Mishale yako mikali na ichome mioyo ya adui za mfalme, mataifa na yaanguke chini ya nyayo zako.
Your arrows [are] sharp—Peoples fall under You—In the heart of the enemies of the King.
6 Ee Mungu, kiti chako cha enzi kitadumu milele na milele, fimbo ya utawala wa haki itakuwa fimbo ya utawala wa ufalme wako.
Your throne, O God, [is for] all time and forever, A scepter of uprightness [Is] the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 Unaipenda haki na kuchukia uovu; kwa hiyo Mungu, Mungu wako, amekuweka juu ya wenzako, kwa kukupaka mafuta ya furaha.
You have loved righteousness and hate wickedness, Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With oil of joy above Your companions.
8 Mavazi yako yote yana harufu nzuri ya manemane, udi na mdalasini; kutoka kwenye majumba ya kifalme yaliyopambwa kwa pembe za ndovu, sauti za vinanda vya nyuzi zinakufanya ufurahi.
Myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia [Cover] all Your garments; Out of palaces of ivory, Stringed instruments have made You glad.
9 Binti za wafalme ni miongoni mwa wanawake wako waheshimiwa; kuume kwako yupo bibi arusi malkia aliyevaa dhahabu ya Ofiri.
Daughters of kings [are] among Your precious ones, A queen has stood at Your right hand, In pure gold of Ophir.
10 Sikiliza, ewe binti, fikiri na utege sikio: Sahau watu wako na nyumba ya baba yako.
Listen, O daughter, and see, incline your ear, And forget your people, and your father’s house,
11 Mfalme ameshangazwa na uzuri wako; mheshimu, kwa kuwa yeye ni bwana wako.
And the King desires your beauty, Because He [is] your Lord—bow yourself to Him,
12 Binti wa Tiro atakuletea zawadi, watu wenye utajiri watatafuta upendeleo wako.
And the daughter of Tyre with a present, The rich of the people appease your face.
13 Utukufu wote una binti mfalme katika chumba chake; vazi lake limefumwa kwa nyuzi za dhahabu.
All glory [is] the daughter of the king within, Her clothing [is] with filigrees of gold.
14 Anaongozwa kwa mfalme, akiwa amevalia mavazi yaliyotariziwa, mabikira wenzake wanamfuata na wanaletwa kwako.
In various colors she is brought to the King; Afterward, virgins, her companions, Are brought to You.
15 Wanaingizwa ndani kwa shangwe na furaha, na kuingia katika jumba la mfalme.
They are brought with joy and gladness, They come into the palace of the King.
16 Wana wenu watachukua nafasi za baba zenu, mtawafanya wakuu katika nchi yote.
Instead of Your fathers are Your sons, You appoint them for princes in all the earth.
17 Nitadumisha kumbukumbu lako katika vizazi vyote, kwa hiyo mataifa watakusifu milele na milele.
I make mention of Your Name in all generations, Therefore peoples praise You, For all time and forever!
