< Zaburi 3 >

1 Zaburi ya Daudi. Alipomkimbia mwanawe Absalomu. Ee Bwana, tazama adui zangu walivyo wengi! Ni wengi kiasi gani wanaoinuka dhidi yangu!
Adonai, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.
2 Wengi wanasema juu yangu, “Mungu hatamwokoa.”
Many there are who say of my soul, “There is no yishu'ah ·salvation· for him in God.” (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
3 Lakini wewe, Ee Bwana, ni ngao pande zote; umeniwekea utukufu na kuinua kichwa changu.
But you, Adonai, are a shield around me, my kavod ·weighty glory·, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 Ninamlilia Bwana kwa sauti kuu, naye ananijibu kutoka mlima wake mtakatifu.
I cry to Adonai with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
5 Ninajilaza na kupata usingizi; naamka tena, kwa maana Bwana hunitegemeza.
I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Adonai sustains me.
6 Sitaogopa makumi elfu ya adui, wanaojipanga dhidi yangu kila upande.
I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
7 Ee Bwana, amka! Niokoe, Ee Mungu wangu! Wapige adui zangu wote kwenye taya, vunja meno ya waovu.
Arise, Adonai! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Kwa maana wokovu watoka kwa Bwana. Baraka yako na iwe juu ya watu wako.
Yishu'ah ·Salvation· belongs to Adonai. Your blessing be on your people. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
