Zaburi 26

1 Zaburi ya Daudi. Ee Bwana, nithibitishe katika haki, maana nimeishi maisha yasiyo na lawama; nimemtumainia Bwana bila kusitasita.

A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

2 Ee Bwana, unijaribu, unipime, uuchunguze moyo wangu na mawazo yangu;

Examine me, O LORD, and try me; test my reins and my heart.

3 kwa maana upendo wako uko mbele yangu daima, nami natembea siku zote katika kweli yako.

For Thy mercy is before mine eyes; and I have walked in Thy truth.

4 Siketi pamoja na watu wadanganyifu, wala siandamani na wanafiki,

I have not sat with men of falsehood; neither will I go in with dissemblers.

5 ninachukia kusanyiko la watenda mabaya na ninakataa kuketi pamoja na waovu.

I hate the gathering of evil doers, and will not sit with the wicked.

6 Ninanawa mikono yangu kwa kuwa sina hatia, naikaribia madhabahu yako, Ee Bwana,

I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass Thine altar, O LORD,

7 nikitangaza sifa yako kwa sauti kubwa, huku nikisimulia matendo yako ya ajabu.

That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all Thy wondrous works.

8 Ee Bwana, naipenda nyumba yako mahali unakoishi, mahali ambapo utukufu wako hukaa.

LORD, I love the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thy glory dwelleth.

9 Usiiondoe nafsi yangu pamoja na watenda dhambi, wala uhai wangu pamoja na wamwagao damu,

Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood;

10 ambao mikononi mwao kuna mipango miovu, ambao mikono yao ya kuume imejaa rushwa.

In whose hands is craftiness, and their right hand is full of bribes.

11 Bali mimi ninaishi maisha yasiyo na lawama; nikomboe na unihurumie.

But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity; redeem me, and be gracious unto me.

12 Miguu yangu imesimama katika uwanja tambarare; katika kusanyiko kuu nitamsifu Bwana.

My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
