1 Zaburi ya Daudi. Dunia ni mali ya Bwana, na vyote vilivyomo ndani yake, ulimwengu, na wote waishio ndani yake,

A Psalm by David. The earth is the LORD’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.

2 maana aliiwekea misingi yake baharini na kuifanya imara juu ya maji.

For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods.

3 Nani awezaye kuupanda mlima wa Bwana? Ni nani awezaye kusimama patakatifu pake?

Who may ascend to the LORD’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?

4 Ni yule mwenye mikono safi na moyo mweupe, yule ambaye hakuinulia sanamu nafsi yake au kuapa kwa kitu cha uongo.

He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

5 Huyo atapokea baraka kutoka kwa Bwana, na hukumu ya haki kutoka kwa Mungu Mwokozi wake.

He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Hiki ndicho kizazi cha wale wamtafutao, wale wautafutao uso wako, Ee Mungu wa Yakobo.

This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face—even Jacob. (Selah)

7 Inueni vichwa vyenu, enyi malango, inukeni enyi milango ya kale, ili mfalme wa utukufu apate kuingia.

Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.

8 Ni nani huyu Mfalme wa utukufu? Ni Bwana aliye na nguvu na uweza, ni Bwana aliye hodari katika vita.

Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9 Inueni vichwa vyenu, enyi malango, viinueni juu enyi milango ya kale, ili Mfalme wa utukufu apate kuingia.

Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.

10 Ni nani yeye, huyu Mfalme wa utukufu? Ni Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote; yeye ndiye Mfalme wa utukufu.

Who is this King of glory? The LORD of Armies is the King of glory! (Selah)
