1 Wimbo wa kwenda juu. Wa Daudi. Moyo wangu hauna kiburi, Ee Bwana, macho yangu hayajivuni; sijishughulishi na mambo makuu kunizidi wala mambo ya ajabu mno kwangu.

A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart [is] not haughty, nor my eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

2 Lakini nimetuliza na kunyamazisha nafsi yangu; kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya na mama yake, kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya ndivyo ilivyo nafsi iliyoko ndani yangu.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself as a child that is weaned by his mother: my soul [is] even as a weaned child.

3 Ee Israeli, mtumaini Bwana tangu sasa na hata milele.

Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
