1 Heri wale walio waadilifu katika njia zao, wanaoenenda katika sheria ya Bwana.
Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Heri wale wanaozishika shuhuda zake, wamtafutao kwa moyo wao wote.
Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
3 Wasiofanya lolote lililo baya, wanaoenenda katika njia zake.
For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
4 Umetoa maagizo yako ili tuyatii kwa ukamilifu.
You have commanded [us] diligently to keep your precepts.
5 Laiti mwenendo wangu ungekuwa imara katika kuyatii maagizo yako!
O that my ways were directed to keep your ordinances.
6 Hivyo mimi sitaaibishwa ninapozingatia amri zako zote.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all your commandments.
7 Nitakusifu kwa moyo mnyofu ninapojifunza sheria zako za haki.
I will give you thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learned the judgments of your righteousness.
8 Nitayatii maagizo yako; usiniache kabisa.
I will keep your ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
9 Kijana aifanye njia yake kuwa safi jinsi gani? Ni kwa kutii, akilifuata neno lako.
Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping your words.
10 Ninakutafuta kwa moyo wangu wote, usiniache niende mbali na amri zako.
With my whole heart have I diligently sought you: cast me not away from your commandments.
11 Nimelificha neno lako moyoni mwangu ili nisikutende dhambi.
I have hidden your oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
12 Sifa ni zako, Ee Bwana, nifundishe maagizo yako.
Blessed are you, O Lord: teach me your ordinances.
13 Kwa midomo yangu nitasimulia sheria zote zinazotoka katika kinywa chako.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of your mouth.
14 Ninafurahia kufuata sheria zako kama mtu afurahiaye mali nyingi.
I have delighted in the way of your testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
15 Ninatafakari maagizo yako na kuziangalia njia zako.
I will meditate on your commandments, and consider your ways.
16 Ninafurahia maagizo yako, wala sitalipuuza neno lako.
I will meditate on your ordinances: I will not forget your words.
17 Mtendee mema mtumishi wako, nami nitaishi; nitalitii neno lako.
Render a recompense to your servant: [so] shall I live, and keep your words.
18 Yafungue macho yangu nipate kuona mambo ya ajabu katika sheria yako.
Unveil you mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of your law.
19 Mimi ni mgeni duniani, usinifiche amri zako.
I am a stranger in the earth: hide not your commandments from me.
20 Nafsi yangu inataabika kwa shauku kubwa juu ya sheria zako wakati wote.
My soul has longed exceedingly for your judgments at all times.
21 Unawakemea wenye majivuno, waliolaaniwa waendao mbali na amri zako.
You have rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from your commandments.
22 Niondolee dharau na dhihaka, kwa kuwa ninazishika sheria zako.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out your testimonies.
23 Ingawa watawala huketi pamoja na kunisingizia, mtumishi wako atatafakari juu ya maagizo yako.
For princes sat and spoke against me: but your servant was meditating on your ordinances.
24 Sheria zako ni furaha yangu, nazo ni washauri wangu.
For your testimonies are my (meditation) and your ordinances are my counselors.
25 Nimelazwa chini mavumbini, yahifadhi maisha yangu sawasawa na neno lako.
My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken you me according to your word.
26 Nilikueleza njia zangu ukanijibu, nifundishe sheria zako.
I declared my ways, and you did hear me: teach me your ordinances.
27 Nijulishe mafundisho ya mausia yako, nami nitatafakari maajabu yako.
Instruct me in the way of your ordinances; and I will meditate on your wondrous works.
28 Nafsi yangu imechakazwa kwa huzuni, uniimarishe sawasawa na neno lako.
My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen you me with your words.
29 Niepushe na njia za udanganyifu, kwa neema unifundishe sheria zako.
Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by your law.
30 Nimechagua njia ya kweli, nimekaza moyo wangu katika sheria zako.
I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten your judgments.
31 Nimengʼangʼania sheria zako, Ee Bwana, usiniache niaibishwe.
I have cleaved to your testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
32 Nakimbilia katika njia ya maagizo yako, kwa kuwa umeuweka moyo wangu huru.
I ran the way of your commandments, when you did enlarge my heart.
33 Ee Bwana, nifundishe kuyafuata maagizo yako, nami nitayashika mpaka mwisho.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of your ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
34 Nipe ufahamu, nami nitaishika sheria yako na kuitii kwa moyo wangu wote.
Instruct me, and I will search out your law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Niongoze kwenye njia ya amri zako, kwa kuwa huko napata furaha.
Guide me in the path of your commandments; for I have delighted in it.
36 Ugeuze moyo wangu kuelekea sheria zako, na siyo kwenye mambo ya ubinafsi.
Incline mine heart to your testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Geuza macho yangu kutoka kwenye mambo yasiyofaa, uyahifadhi maisha yangu sawasawa na neno lako.
Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken you me in your way.
38 Mtimizie mtumishi wako ahadi yako, ili upate kuogopwa.
Confirm your oracle to your servant, that he may fear you.
39 Niondolee aibu ninayoiogopa, kwa kuwa sheria zako ni njema.
Take away my reproach which I have feared: for your judgments are good.
40 Tazama jinsi ninavyoonea shauku mausia yako! Hifadhi maisha yangu katika haki yako.
Behold, I have desired your commandments: quicken me in your righteousness.
41 Ee Bwana, upendo wako usiokoma unijie, wokovu wako sawasawa na ahadi yako,
And let your mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] your salvation, according to your word.
42 ndipo nitakapomjibu anayenidhihaki, kwa kuwa ninalitumainia neno lako.
And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in your words.
43 Usilinyakue neno la kweli kutoka kinywani mwangu, kwa kuwa nimeweka tumaini langu katika amri zako.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in your judgments. So shall I keep your law continually, for ever and ever.
44 Nitaitii amri yako daima, naam, milele na milele.
45 Nitatembea nikiwa huru, kwa kuwa nimejifunza mausia yako.
I walked also at large: for I sought out your commandments.
46 Nitasema sheria zako mbele za wafalme wala sitaaibishwa,
And I spoke of your testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
47 kwa kuwa ninazifurahia amri zako kwa sababu ninazipenda.
And I meditated on your commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
48 Ninaziinulia amri zako ambazo ninazipenda mikono yangu, nami ninatafakari juu ya maagizo yako.
And I lifted up my hands to your commandments which I loved; and I meditated in your ordinances.
49 Kumbuka neno lako kwa mtumishi wako, kwa sababu umenipa tumaini.
Remember your words to your servant, wherein you have made me hope.
50 Faraja yangu katika mateso yangu ni hii: Ahadi yako inahifadhi maisha yangu.
This has comforted me in mine affliction: for your oracle has quickened me.
51 Wenye majivuno wamenisimanga bila kuchoka, hata hivyo sitaiacha sheria yako.
The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from your law.
52 Ee Bwana, ninazikumbuka sheria zako za zamani, nazo zinanifariji.
I remembered your judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
53 Nimeshikwa sana na ghadhabu kwa ajili ya waovu, ambao wameacha sheria yako.
Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake your law.
54 Maagizo yako ni kiini cha nyimbo zangu popote ninapoishi.
Your ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
55 Ee Bwana, wakati wa usiku ninalikumbuka jina lako, nami nitatii sheria yako.
I remembered your name, O Lord, in the night, and kept your law.
56 Hili limekuwa zoezi langu: nami ninayatii mausia yako.
This I had, because I diligently sought your ordinances.
57 Ee Bwana, wewe ni fungu langu, nimeahidi kuyatii maneno yako.
You are my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep your law.
58 Nimetafuta uso wako kwa moyo wangu wote, nihurumie sawasawa na ahadi yako.
I implored your favor with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to your word.
59 Nimezifikiri njia zangu na nimeelekeza hatua zangu katika mausia yako.
I thought on your ways, and turned my feet to your testimonies.
60 Nitafanya haraka bila kuchelewa kuzitii amri zako.
I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep your commandments.
61 Hata waovu wanifunge kwa kamba, sitasahau sheria yako.
The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not your law.
62 Usiku wa manane ninaamka kukushukuru kwa sababu ya sheria zako za haki.
At midnight I arose, to give thanks to you for the judgments of your righteousness.
63 Mimi ni rafiki kwa wale wote wakuchao, kwa wote wanaofuata mausia yako.
I am a companion of all them that fear you, and of them that keep your commandments.
64 Ee Bwana, dunia imejaa upendo wako, nifundishe maagizo yako.
O Lord, the earth is full of your mercy: teach me your ordinances.
65 Mtendee wema mtumishi wako Ee Bwana, sawasawa na neno lako.
You have wrought kindly with your servant, o Lord, according to your word.
66 Nifundishe maarifa na uamuzi mzuri, kwa kuwa ninaamini amri zako.
Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed your commandments.
67 Kabla sijapata shida nilipotea njia, lakini sasa ninalitii neno lako.
Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept your word.
68 Wewe ni mwema, unalotenda ni jema, nifundishe maagizo yako.
Good are you, O Lord; therefore in your goodness teach me your ordinances.
69 Ingawa wenye majivuno wamenisingizia uongo, nitafuata mausia yako kwa moyo wangu wote.
The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out your commandments with all my heart.
70 Mioyo yao ni katili na migumu, bali mimi napendezwa na sheria yako.
Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on your law.
71 Ilikuwa vyema mimi kupata shida ili nipate kujifunza maagizo yako.
[It is] good for me that you have afflicted me; that I might learn your ordinances.
72 Sheria inayotoka kinywani mwako ina thamani kubwa kwangu kuliko maelfu ya vipande vya fedha na dhahabu.
The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Mikono yako ilinifanya na kuniumba, nipe ufahamu niweze kujifunza amri zako.
Your hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn your commandments.
74 Wakuchao wafurahie wanaponiona, kwa kuwa nimeweka tumaini langu katika neno lako.
They that fear you will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in your words.
75 Ee Bwana, ninajua kwamba sheria zako ni za haki, katika uaminifu wako umeniadhibu.
I know, O Lord, that your judgments are righteousness, and [that] you in truthfulness have afflicted me.
76 Upendo wako usiokoma uwe faraja yangu, sawasawa na ahadi yako kwa mtumishi wako.
Let, I pray you, your mercy be to comfort me, according to your word to your servant.
77 Huruma yako na inijie ili nipate kuishi, kwa kuwa naifurahia sheria yako.
Let your compassions come to me, that I may live: for your law is my (meditation)
78 Wenye majivuno na waaibishwe kwa kunikosea mimi bila sababu, lakini mimi nitatafakari juu ya mausia yako.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in your commandments.
79 Wale wakuchao na wanigeukie mimi, hao ambao wanazielewa sheria zako.
Let those that fear you, and those that know your testimonies, turn to me.
80 Moyo wangu usiwe na lawama katika kutii maagizo yako, ili nisiaibishwe.
Let mine heart be blameless in your ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Nafsi yangu inazimia kwa kutamani wokovu wako, lakini nimeweka tumaini langu katika neno lako.
My soul faints for your salvation: I have hoped in your words.
82 Macho yangu yamefifia, nikingoja ahadi yako; ninasema, “Utanifajiri lini?”
Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for your word, saying, When will you comfort me?
83 Ingawa nimekuwa kama kiriba kwenye moshi, bado sijasahau maagizo yako.
For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.
84 Mtumishi wako itampasa angoje mpaka lini? Ni lini utawaadhibu washtaki wangu?
How many are the days of your servant? when will you execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
85 Wenye majivuno wananichimbia mashimo, kinyume na sheria yako.
Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to your law, O Lord.
86 Amri zako zote ni za kuaminika; unisaidie, kwa sababu watu wananishtaki bila sababu.
All your commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help you me.
87 Walikaribia kabisa kunifuta kutoka uso wa dunia, lakini sijaacha mausia yako.
They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not your commandments.
88 Yahifadhi maisha yangu sawasawa na upendo wako, nami nitatii sheria za kinywa chako.
Quicken me according to your mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of your mouth.
89 Ee Bwana, neno lako ni la milele, linasimama imara mbinguni.
Your word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
90 Uaminifu wako unaendelea kwa vizazi vyote, umeiumba dunia, nayo inadumu.
Your truth [endures] to all generations; you have founded the earth, and it abides.
91 Sheria zako zinadumu hadi leo, kwa kuwa vitu vyote vinakutumikia.
The day continues by your arrangement; for all things are your servants.
92 Kama nisingefurahia sheria yako, ningeangamia katika taabu zangu.
Were it not that your law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
93 Sitasahau mausia yako kamwe, kwa maana kwayo umehifadhi maisha yangu.
I will never forget your ordinances; for with them you have quickened me.
94 Uniokoe, kwa maana mimi ni wako, kwa kuwa nimetafuta mausia yako.
I am your, save me; for I have sought out your ordinances.
95 Waovu wanangojea kuniangamiza, bali mimi ninatafakari sheria zako.
Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood your testimonies.
96 Katika ukamilifu wote ninaona mna kikomo, lakini amri zako hazina mpaka.
have seen an end of all perfection; [but] your commandment is very broad.
97 Aha! Tazama, sheria yako naipenda mno ajabu. Ninaitafakari mchana kutwa.
How I have loved your law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Amri zako zimenipa hekima zaidi kuliko adui zangu, kwa kuwa nimezishika daima.
You have made me wiser than mine enemies [in] your commandment; for it is mine for ever.
99 Nina akili zaidi kuliko walimu wangu wote, kwa kuwa ninatafakari juu ya sheria zako.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for your testimonies are my medication.
100 Nina ufahamu zaidi kuliko wazee, kwa kuwa ninayatii mausia yako.
I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out your commandments.
101 Nimezuia miguu yangu isiende kwenye kila njia mbaya, ili niweze kutii neno lako.
I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep your words.
102 Sijaziacha sheria zako, kwa kuwa umenifundisha wewe mwenyewe.
I have not declined from your judgments; for you have instructed me.
103 Tazama jinsi maneno yako yalivyo matamu kwangu, matamu kuliko asali katika kinywa changu!
How sweet are your oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
104 Ninapata ufahamu kutoka mausia yako, kwa hiyo ninachukia kila njia ya upotovu.
I gain understanding by your commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
105 Neno lako ni taa ya miguu yangu na mwanga katika njia yangu.
Your law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
106 Nimeapa na nimethibitisha, kwamba nitafuata sheria zako za haki.
I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of your righteousness.
107 Nimeteseka sana, uhifadhi maisha yangu, Ee Bwana, sawasawa na neno lako.
I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to your word.
108 Ee Bwana, pokea sifa za hiari za kinywa changu, nifundishe sheria zako.
Accept, I pray you, O Lord, the free will offerings of my mouth, and teach me your judgments.
109 Ingawa maisha yangu yako hatarini siku zote, sitasahau sheria yako.
My soul is continually in your hands; and I have not forgotten your law.
110 Waovu wamenitegea mtego, lakini sijayakiuka maagizo yako.
Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from your commandments.
111 Sheria zako ni urithi wangu milele, naam ni furaha ya moyo wangu.
I have inherited your testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 Nimekusudia moyoni mwangu kuyafuata maagizo yako mpaka mwisho.
I have inclined my heart to perform your ordinances for ever, in return [for your mercies].
113 Ninachukia watu wa nia mbili, lakini ninapenda sheria yako.
I have hated transgressors; but I have loved your law.
114 Wewe ni kimbilio langu na ngao yangu, nimeweka tumaini langu katika neno lako.
You are my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in your words.
115 Ondokeni kwangu, ninyi mtendao mabaya, ili niweze kushika amri za Mungu wangu!
Depart from me, you evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
116 Nihifadhi sawasawa na ahadi yako, nami nitaishi; usiache matumaini yangu yakavunjwa.
Uphold me according to your word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
117 Nitegemeze, nami nitaokolewa, nami daima nitayaheshimu maagizo yako.
Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in your ordinances continually.
118 Unawakataa wote wanaoyaasi maagizo yako, kwa maana udanganyifu wao ni bure.
You have brought to nothing all that depart from your ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
119 Waovu wa nchi unawatupa kama takataka, kwa hivyo nazipenda sheria zako.
I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved your testimonies.
120 Mwili wangu unatetemeka kwa kukuogopa wewe, ninaziogopa sheria zako.
Penetrate my flesh with your fear; for I am afraid of your judgments.
121 Nimetenda yaliyo haki na sawa, usiniache mikononi mwa watesi wangu.
I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
122 Mhakikishie mtumishi wako usalama, usiache wenye kiburi wanionee.
Receive your servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
123 Macho yangu yamefifia, yakitazamia wokovu wako, na kuitazamia ahadi yako ya kweli.
Mine eyes have failed for your salvation, and for the word of your righteousness.
124 Mfanyie mtumishi wako kulingana na upendo wako na unifundishe maagizo yako.
Deal with your servant according to your mercy, and teach me your ordinances.
125 Mimi ni mtumishi wako; nipe ufahamu ili niweze kuelewa sheria zako.
I am your servant; instruct me, and I shall know your testimonies.
126 Ee Bwana, wakati wako wa kutenda umewadia, kwa kuwa sheria yako inavunjwa.
[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken your law.
127 Kwa sababu nazipenda amri zako zaidi ya dhahabu, naam, zaidi ya dhahabu safi,
Therefore have I loved your commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
128 na kwa sababu naona maagizo yako yote ni adili, nachukia kila njia potovu.
Therefore I directed myself [according] to all your commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
129 Sheria zako ni za ajabu, hivyo ninazitii.
Your testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
130 Kuingia kwa maneno yako kunaleta nuru, kunampa mjinga ufahamu.
The manifestation of your words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
131 Nimefungua kinywa changu na kuhema, nikitamani amri zako.
I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after your commandments.
132 Nigeukie na unihurumie, kama uwafanyiavyo siku zote wale wanaolipenda jina lako.
Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love your name.
133 Ongoza hatua zangu kulingana na neno lako, usiache dhambi yoyote initawale.
Order my steps according to your word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Niokoe na uonevu wa wanadamu, ili niweze kutii mausia yako.
Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep your commandments.
135 Mwangazie mtumishi wako uso wako na unifundishe amri zako.
Cause your face to shine upon your servant: and teach me your ordinances.
136 Chemchemi za machozi zinatiririka kutoka machoni yangu, kwa kuwa sheria yako haifuatwi.
Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not your law.
137 Ee Bwana, wewe ni mwenye haki, sheria zako ni sahihi.
Righteous are you, O Lord, and upright are your judgments.
138 Sheria ulizoziweka ni za haki, ni za kuaminika kikamilifu.
You has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] your testimonies.
139 Jitihada yangu imenidhoofisha, kwa kuwa adui zangu wanayapuuza maneno yako.
Your zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten your words.
140 Ahadi zako zimejaribiwa kikamilifu, mtumishi wako anazipenda.
Your word [has been] very fully tried; and your servant loves it.
141 Ingawa ni mdogo na ninadharauliwa, sisahau mausia yako.
I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.
142 Haki yako ni ya milele, na sheria yako ni kweli.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.
143 Shida na dhiki zimenipata, lakini amri zako ni furaha yangu.
Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] your commandments [were] my (meditation)
144 Sheria zako ni sahihi milele, hunipa ufahamu ili nipate kuishi.
Your testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
145 Ee Bwana, ninakuita kwa moyo wangu wote, nami nitayatii maagizo yako.
I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out your ordinances.
146 Ninakuita; niokoe nami nitazishika sheria zako.
I cried to you; save me, and I will keep your testimonies.
147 Ninaamka asubuhi na mapema na kukuomba msaada; nimeweka tumaini langu katika neno lako.
I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in your words.
148 Sikufumba macho yangu usiku kucha, ili niweze kutafakari juu ya ahadi zako.
Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on your oracles.
149 Usikie sauti yangu sawasawa na upendo wako, Ee Bwana, uyahifadhi maisha yangu, sawasawa na sheria zako.
Hear my voice, O Lord, according to your mercy; quicken me according to your judgment.
150 Wale wanaopanga mipango miovu wako karibu nami, lakini wako mbali na sheria yako.
They have drawn near who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from your law.
151 Ee Bwana, hata hivyo wewe u karibu, na amri zako zote ni za kweli.
You are near, O Lord; and all your ways are truth.
152 Tangu zamani nimejifunza kutoka shuhuda zako kwamba umezithibitisha ili zidumu milele.
I have known of old concerning your testimonies, that you have founded them for ever.
153 Yaangalie mateso yangu, uniokoe, kwa kuwa sijasahau sheria yako.
Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten your law.
154 Nitetee katika hali hii yangu na unikomboe, uyahifadhi maisha yangu sawasawa na ahadi yako.
Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of your word.
155 Wokovu uko mbali na waovu, kwa kuwa hawatafuti maagizo yako.
Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out your ordinances.
156 Ee Bwana, huruma zako ni kuu, uyahifadhi maisha yangu sawasawa na sheria zako.
Your mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to your judgment.
157 Adui wanaonitesa ni wengi, lakini mimi sitaziacha sheria zako.
Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from your testimonies.
158 Ninawatazama wasioamini kwa chuki, kwa kuwa hawalitii neno lako.
I saw men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not your oracles.
159 Tazama jinsi ninavyopenda mausia yako; Ee Bwana, uyahifadhi maisha yangu, sawasawa na upendo wako.
Behold, I have loved your commandments, O Lord: quicken me in your mercy.
160 Maneno yako yote ni kweli, sheria zako zote za haki ni za milele.
The beginning of your words is truth; and all the judgments of your righteousness [endure] for ever.
161 Watawala wamenitesa bila sababu, lakini moyo wangu unatetemeka kwa neno lako.
Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of your words.
162 Nafurahia ahadi zako kama mtu aliyepata mateka mengi.
I will exult because of your oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
163 Ninachukia na kuchukizwa sana na uongo, lakini napenda sheria yako.
I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love your law.
164 Ninakusifu mara saba kwa siku, kwa ajili ya sheria zako za haki.
Seven times in a day have I praised you because of the judgments of your righteousness.
165 Wanaopenda sheria yako wana amani tele, wala hakuna kitu kinachoweza kuwakwaza.
Great peace have they that love your law: and there is no stumbling block to them.
166 Ee Bwana, ninangojea wokovu wako, nami ninafuata amri zako,
I waited for your salvation, O Lord, and have loved your commandments.
167 Ninazitii sheria zako, kwa sababu ninazipenda mno.
My soul has kept your testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
168 Nimetii mausia yako na sheria zako, kwa kuwa njia zangu zote zinajulikana kwako.
I have kept your commandments and your testimonies; for all my ways are before you, O Lord.
169 Ee Bwana, kilio changu na kifike mbele zako, nipe ufahamu sawasawa na neno lako.
Let my supplication come near before you, o Lord; instruct me according to your oracle.
170 Maombi yangu na yafike mbele zako, niokoe sawasawa na ahadi yako.
Let my petition come in before you, O Lord; deliver me according to your oracle.
171 Midomo yangu na ibubujike sifa, kwa kuwa unanifundisha maagizo yako.
Let my lips utter a hymn, when you shall have taught me your ordinances.
172 Ulimi wangu na uimbe kuhusu neno lako, kwa kuwa amri zako zote ni za haki.
Let my tongue utter your oracles; for all your commandments are righteous.
173 Mkono wako uwe tayari kunisaidia, kwa kuwa nimechagua mausia yako.
Let your hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen your commandments.
174 Ee Bwana, ninatamani wokovu wako, na sheria yako ni furaha yangu.
I have longed after your salvation, O Lord; and your law is my (meditation)
175 Nijalie kuishi ili nipate kukusifu, na sheria zako zinitegemeze.
My soul shall live, and shall praise you; and your judgments shall help me.
176 Nimetangatanga kama kondoo aliyepotea. Mtafute mtumishi wako, kwa kuwa sijasahau amri zako.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I have not forgotten your commandments.
