1 Sio kwetu sisi, Ee Bwana, sio kwetu sisi, bali utukufu ni kwa jina lako, kwa sababu ya upendo na uaminifu wako.
Not vnto vs, O Lord, not vnto vs, but vnto thy Name giue the glorie, for thy louing mercie and for thy truethes sake.
2 Kwa nini mataifa waseme, “Yuko wapi Mungu wao?”
Wherefore shall the heathen say, Where is nowe their God?
3 Mungu wetu yuko mbinguni, naye hufanya lolote limpendezalo.
But our God is in heauen: he doeth what so euer he will.
4 Lakini sanamu zao ni za fedha na dhahabu, zilizotengenezwa kwa mikono ya wanadamu.
Their idoles are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens hands.
5 Zina vinywa, lakini haziwezi kusema, zina macho, lakini haziwezi kuona;
They haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
6 zina masikio, lakini haziwezi kusikia, zina pua, lakini haziwezi kunusa;
They haue eares and heare not: they haue noses and smelll not.
7 zina mikono, lakini haziwezi kupapasa, zina miguu, lakini haziwezi kutembea; wala koo zao haziwezi kutoa sauti.
They haue handes and touche not: they haue feete and walke not: neither make they a sound with their throte.
8 Wale wanaozitengeneza watafanana nazo, vivyo hivyo wale wote wanaozitumainia.
They that make them are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
9 Ee nyumba ya Israeli, mtumainini Bwana, yeye ni msaada na ngao yao.
O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
10 Ee nyumba ya Aroni, mtumainini Bwana, yeye ni msaada na ngao yao.
O house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
11 Ninyi mnaomcha, mtumainini Bwana, yeye ni msaada na ngao yao.
Ye that feare the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he is their helper and their shield.
12 Bwana anatukumbuka na atatubariki: ataibariki nyumba ya Israeli, ataibariki nyumba ya Aroni,
The Lord hath bene mindfull of vs: he will blesse, he will blesse the house of Israel, he will blesse the house of Aaron.
13 atawabariki wale wanaomcha Bwana, wadogo kwa wakubwa.
He will blesse them that feare the Lord, both small and great.
14 Bwana na awawezeshe kuongezeka, ninyi na watoto wenu.
The Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children.
15 Mbarikiwe na Bwana Muumba wa mbingu na dunia.
Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.
16 Mbingu zilizo juu sana ni mali ya Bwana, lakini dunia amempa mwanadamu.
The heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.
17 Sio wafu wanaomsifu Bwana, wale washukao mahali pa kimya,
The dead prayse not the Lord, neither any that goe downe into the place of silence.
18 bali ni sisi tunaomtukuza Bwana, sasa na hata milele. Msifuni Bwana.
But we will prayse the Lord from henceforth and for euer. Prayse ye the Lord.
