< Zaburi 11 >
1 Kwa mwimbishaji. Zaburi ya Daudi. Kwa Bwana ninakimbilia, unawezaje basi kuniambia: “Ruka kama ndege kwenye mlima wako.
In Adonai, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain!”
2 Hebu tazama, waovu wanapinda pinde zao, huweka mishale kwenye uzi wake, wakiwa gizani ili kuwapiga wale wanyofu wa moyo.
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 Wakati misingi imeharibiwa, mwenye haki anaweza kufanya nini?”
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the upright do?
4 Bwana yuko ndani ya Hekalu lake takatifu; Bwana yuko kwenye kiti chake cha enzi mbinguni. Huwaangalia wana wa watu, macho yake yanawajaribu.
Adonai is in his holy temple. Adonai is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.
5 Bwana huwajaribu wenye haki, lakini waovu na wanaopenda jeuri, nafsi yake huwachukia.
Adonai examines the upright, but the wicked and him who 'ahav ·affectionately loves· violence his soul hates.
6 Atawanyeshea waovu makaa ya moto mkali na kiberiti kinachowaka, upepo wenye joto kali ndio fungu lao.
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 Kwa kuwa Bwana ni mwenye haki, yeye hupenda haki. Wanyofu watauona uso wake.
For Adonai is righteous. He 'ahav ·affectionately loves· righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
