1 Hatimaye, ndugu zangu, furahini katika Bwana! Mimi kuwaandikia mambo yale yale hakuniudhi, kwa maana ni kinga kwa ajili yenu.
For the rest, my brethren—rejoice in the Lord. To be writing, the same things, unto you, to me, is not irksome, while, for you, is safe: —
2 Jihadharini na mbwa, wale watenda maovu, jihadharini na wale wajikatao miili yao, wasemao ili kuokoka ni lazima kutahiriwa.
Beware of the dogs, beware of mischievous workers, beware of the mutilation;
3 Kwa maana sisi ndio tulio tohara, sisi tumwabuduo Mungu katika Roho, tunaona fahari katika Kristo Yesu, ambao hatuweki tumaini letu katika mwili,
For, we, are the circumcision, who in the Spirit of God, are doing divine service, and are boasting in Christ Jesus, and, not in flesh, having confidence, —
4 ingawa mimi mwenyewe ninazo sababu za kuutumainia mwili. Kama mtu yeyote akidhani anazo sababu za kuutumainia mwili, mimi zaidi.
Although, indeed, I, might have confidence even in flesh. If any other thinketh to have confidence in flesh, I, more: —
5 Nilitahiriwa siku ya nane, mimi ni Mwisraeli wa kabila la Benyamini, Mwebrania wa Waebrania. Kwa habari ya sheria, ni Farisayo,
Circumcised, the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, —regarding law, a Pharisee,
6 kwa habari ya juhudi, nilikuwa nalitesa kanisa, kuhusu haki ipatikanayo kwa sheria, mimi nilikuwa sina hatia.
Regarding zeal, persecuting the assembly, regarding the righteousness that is in law, having become blameless.
7 Lakini mambo yale yaliyokuwa faida kwangu, sasa nayahesabu kuwa hasara kwa ajili ya Kristo.
But, whatever things, unto me, were gain, the same, have I accounted, for the Christ’s sake, loss;
8 Zaidi ya hayo, nayahesabu mambo yote kuwa hasara tupu nikiyalinganisha na faida kubwa ipitayo kiasi cha kumjua Kristo Yesu Bwana wangu, ambaye kwa ajili yake nimepata hasara ya mambo yote, nikiyahesabu kuwa kama mavi ili nimpate Kristo.
Yea, doubtless! and I account all things to be, loss, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for the sake of whom, the loss, of all things, have I suffered, and do account them refuse, in order that, Christ, I may win,
9 Nami nionekane mbele zake bila kuwa na haki yangu mwenyewe ipatikanayo kwa sheria, bali ile ipatikanayo kwa imani katika Kristo, haki ile itokayo kwa Mungu kwa njia ya imani.
And be found in him—not having a righteousness of my own, that which is by law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is, of God, upon my faith, —
10 Nataka nimjue Kristo na uweza wa kufufuka kwake na ushirika wa mateso yake, ili nifanane naye katika mauti yake,
To get to know him, and the power of his resurrection and fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death, —
11 ili kwa njia yoyote niweze kufikia ufufuo wa wafu.
If by any means I may advance to the earlier resurrection, which is from among the dead:
12 Si kwamba nimekwisha kufikia, au kwamba nimekwisha kuwa mkamilifu, la hasha! Bali nakaza mwendo ili nipate kile ambacho kwa ajili yake, nimeshikwa na Kristo Yesu.
Not that I have, already, received, or have, already, reached perfection, but I am pressing on—if I may even lay hold of that for which I have also been laid hold of by Christ [Jesus]: —
13 Ndugu zangu, sijihesabu kuwa nimekwisha kushika. Lakini ninafanya jambo moja: Ninasahau mambo yale yaliyopita, nakaza mwendo kufikia yale yaliyo mbele.
Brethren! I, as to myself, reckon that I have, not yet, laid hold; one thing, however, —the things behind, forgetting, and, unto the things before, eagerly reaching out,
14 Nakaza mwendo nifikie ile alama ya ushindi iliyowekwa ili nipate tuzo ya mwito mkuu wa Mungu ambao nimeitiwa huko juu mbinguni katika Kristo Yesu.
With the goal in view, I press on for the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Hivyo sisi sote tuliokuwa kiroho tuwaze jambo hili, hata mkiwaza mengine katika jambo lolote, Mungu ataliweka wazi hilo nalo.
As many, therefore, as are full-grown, let, this, be our resolve; and, if, somewhat differently, ye are resolved, this, also, shall, God, unto you reveal.
16 Lakini na tushike sana lile ambalo tumekwisha kulifikia.
Nevertheless, whereunto we have advanced, in the same rank, stepping along.
17 Ndugu zangu, kwa pamoja fuateni mfano wangu na kuwatazama wale wanaofuata kielelezo tulichowawekea.
Imitators together of me, become ye, brethren, and keep an eye on them who, thus, are walking, —even as ye have, us, for, an ensample.
18 Kwa maana, kama nilivyokwisha kuwaambia mara nyingi kabla, nami sasa nasema tena hata kwa machozi, watu wengi wanaishi kama adui wa msalaba wa Kristo.
For, many, are walking—of whom I have often been telling you, and, now, even weeping, am telling, —the enemies of the cross of the Christ;
19 Mwisho wa watu hao ni maangamizi, Mungu wao ni tumbo, na utukufu wao ni aibu, na mawazo yao yamo katika mambo ya dunia.
Whose, end, is destruction, whose, God, is the belly, and [whose], glory, is in their shame, who, upon the earthly things, are resolved.
20 Lakini uenyeji wetu uko mbinguni. Nasi tunamngoja kwa shauku Mwokozi kutoka huko, yaani, Bwana Yesu Kristo,
For, our citizenship, in the heavens, hath its rise; wherefore, a Saviour also, do we ardently await, —The Lord Jesus Christ, —
21 atakayeubadili mwili wetu wa unyonge, ili upate kufanana na mwili wake wa utukufu, kwa uweza ule ambao kwa huo aweza hata kuvitiisha vitu vyote chini yake.
Who will transfigure our humbled body, into conformity with his glorified body, according to the energy wherewith he is able even to subdue, unto himself, all things.
