1 Bwana aliwaambia Mose na Aroni:

And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2 “Waisraeli watapiga kambi zao kuzunguka Hema la Kukutania kwa umbali fulani kutoka kwenye hema, kila mwanaume chini ya alama yake pamoja na bendera ya jamaa yake.”

Every man by his own standard, by the ensign of their family division, shall the children of Israel pitch their tent; at some distance round about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they encamp.

3 Kwa upande wa mashariki kuelekea mawio ya jua, kambi ya makundi ya Yuda watapiga kambi chini ya alama yao. Kiongozi wa watu wa Yuda ni Nashoni mwana wa Aminadabu.

And they, who encamp on the east, toward the rising of the sun, shall be [those who belong to] the standard of the camp of Judah according to their armies: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.

4 Kundi lake lina watu 74,600.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were seventy and four thousand and six hundred.

5 Kabila la Isakari watapiga kambi karibu na Yuda. Kiongozi wa watu wa Isakari ni Nethaneli mwana wa Suari.

And those that encamp next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.

6 Kundi lake lina watu 54,400.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

7 Kabila la Zabuloni litafuata. Kiongozi wa watu wa Zabuloni ni Eliabu mwana wa Heloni.

[Then] the tribe of Zebulun: and the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Chelon.

8 Kundi lake lina watu 57,400.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

9 Wanaume wote walio katika kambi ya Yuda, kufuatana na makundi yao, ni 186,400. Wao watatangulia kuondoka.

All that were numbered of the camp of Judah were one hundred thousand and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred, according to their armies: they shall first set forward.

10 Kwa upande wa kusini kutakuwa kambi ya makundi ya Reubeni chini ya alama yao. Kiongozi wa watu wa Reubeni ni Elisuri mwana wa Shedeuri.

The standard of the camp of Reuben shall be on the south side, according to their armies: and the prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

11 Kundi lake lina watu 46,500.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

12 Kabila la Simeoni watapiga kambi karibu na Reubeni. Kiongozi wa watu wa Simeoni ni Shelumieli mwana wa Surishadai.

And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of 'Zurishaddai.

13 Kundi lake lina watu 59,300.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

14 Kabila la Gadi litafuata. Kiongozi wa watu wa Gadi ni Eliasafu mwana wa Deueli.

Then the tribe of Gad: and the prince of the sons of Gad shall be Elyassaph the son of Reuel.

15 Kundi lake lina watu 45,650.

And his host, and those who were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16 Wanaume wote walio katika kambi ya Reubeni, kufuatana na makundi yao, ni 151,450. Nao watakuwa nafasi ya pili kuondoka.

All that were numbered of the camp of Reuben were one hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, according to their armies; and as the second shall they set forward.

17 Kisha Hema la Kukutania na kambi ya Walawi vitakuwa katikati ya kambi zote. Wao watasafiri kwa utaratibu ule ule kama walivyopiga kambi, kila mmoja mahali pake mwenyewe chini ya alama yake.

Then shall the tabernacle of the congregation, the camp of the Levites, set forward in the midst of the camps: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place after their standards.

18 Upande wa magharibi kutakuwepo na kambi ya makundi ya Efraimu chini ya alama yao. Kiongozi wa watu wa Efraimu ni Elishama mwana wa Amihudi.

The standard of the camp of Ephraim shall be on the west side, according to their armies: and the prince of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.

19 Kundi lake lina watu 40,500.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.

20 Kabila la Manase litafuata baada ya Efraimu. Kiongozi wa watu wa Manase ni Gamalieli mwana wa Pedasuri.

And by him shall be the tribe of Menasseh; and the prince of the children of Menasseh shall be Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.

21 Kundi lake lina watu 32,200.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

22 Kabila la Benyamini litafuata baada ya Manase. Kiongozi wa watu wa Benyamini ni Abidani mwana wa Gideoni.

Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the prince of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gidoni.

23 Kundi lake lina watu 35,400.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

24 Wanaume wote walio katika kambi ya Efraimu kufuatana na makundi yao ni 108,100. Nao watakuwa nafasi ya tatu kuondoka.

All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were one hundred thousand and eight thousand and one hundred, according to their armies; and as the third shall they set forward.

25 Upande wa kaskazini kutakuwa na makundi ya kambi ya Dani, chini ya alama yao. Kiongozi wa watu wa Dani ni Ahiezeri mwana wa Amishadai.

The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side, according to their armies: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.

26 Kundi lake lina watu 62,700.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were sixty and two thousand and seven hundred.

27 Kabila la Asheri watapiga kambi karibu na Dani. Kiongozi wa watu wa Asheri ni Pagieli mwana wa Okrani.

And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.

28 Kundi lake lina watu 41,500.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

29 Kabila la Naftali litafuata. Kiongozi wa watu wa Naftali ni Ahira mwana wa Enani.

Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Achira the son of 'Enan.

30 Kundi lake lina watu 53,400.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

31 Wanaume wote walio katika kambi ya Dani ni 157,600. Wao watakuwa wa mwisho kuondoka chini ya alama yao.

All those that were numbered of the camp of Dan were one hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred; the hindmost shall they set forward according to their standards.

32 Hawa ndio Waisraeli, wakiwa wamehesabiwa kufuatana na jamaa zao. Wote walio kambini kwa makundi yao ni watu 603,550.

These are those that were numbered of the children of Israel according to their family divisions: and all those that were numbered of the camps, according to their armies, were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 Hata hivyo, Walawi hawakuhesabiwa pamoja na Waisraeli wengine, kama Bwana alivyomwagiza Mose.

But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

34 Kwa hiyo Waisraeli wakafanya kila kitu Bwana alichomwamuru Mose. Hivyo ndivyo walivyopiga kambi chini ya alama zao, pia hivyo ndivyo walivyoondoka, kila mmoja akiwa na ukoo wake na jamaa yake.

And the children of Israel did all just as the Lord had commanded Moses, so did they encamp by their standards, and so did they set forward every one after his family, by his division.
