Nehemia 3
1 Eliashibu kuhani mkuu na makuhani wenzake walikwenda kufanya kazi na kulijenga upya Lango la Kondoo. Waliliweka wakfu na kuweka milango mahali pake, wakajenga hadi kufikia Mnara wa Mia, ambao waliuweka wakfu hadi Mnara wa Hananeli.
Then arose Eliashib the high priest and his brethren the priests, and built the sheep-gate, they, hallowed it, and set up the doors thereof, —even unto the tower of Hammeah, hallowed they it, unto the tower of Hananel;
2 Watu wa Yeriko wakajenga sehemu zilizopakana nao, naye Zakuri mwana wa Imri akajenga karibu nao.
and, at his hand, built, the men of Jericho, —and at his [other] hand built Zaccur, son of Imri.
3 Lango la Samaki lilijengwa upya na wana wa Hasenaa. Waliweka boriti zake, na wakaweka milango yake na makomeo na nondo.
And, the fish-gate, did the sons of Hassenaah build, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
4 Meremothi mwana wa Uria, mwana wa Hakosi, alikarabati sehemu iliyofuatia. Baada yake Meshulamu mwana wa Berekia, mwana wa Meshezabeli, alifanya ukarabati na aliyemfuatia ni Sadoki mwana wa Baana.
and, at their hand, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, and, at their hand, repaired, Meshullum son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel, —and, at their hand, repaired, Zadok son of Baana;
5 Sehemu iliyofuatia ilikarabatiwa na watu kutoka Tekoa, lakini wakuu wao walikataa kufanya kazi chini ya wasimamizi wao.
and, at their hand, repaired, the Tekoites, —but, their chiefs, put not their neck into the service of their lords.
6 Lango la Yeshana lilikarabatiwa na Yoyada mwana wa Pasea, na Meshulamu mwana wa Besodeya. Waliweka boriti zake, na wakaweka milango, makomeo na nondo.
And, the old gate, did Joiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah, repair, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
7 Karibu nao ukarabati ulifanywa na watu kutoka Gibeoni na Mispa, yaani Melati Mgibeoni, na Yadoni Mmeronothi, sehemu hizi zikiwa chini ya mamlaka ya mtawala wa Ngʼambo ya Frati.
and, at their hand, repaired, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, —who pertained to the throne of the pasha Beyond the River;
8 Uzieli mwana wa Harhaya, mmoja wa masonara, alikarabati sehemu iliyofuatia, naye Hanania mmoja wa watengenezaji marashi akakarabati sehemu iliyofuatia. Walitengeneza Yerusalemu mpaka kufikia Ukuta Mpana.
at his hand, repaired, Uzziel son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, and, at his hand, repaired Hananiah son of the perfumers, —and they fortified Jerusalem, as far as the broad wall;
9 Refaya mwana wa Huri, mtawala wa nusu ya wilaya ya Yerusalemu, alikarabati sehemu iliyofuatia.
and, at their hand, repaired, Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem;
10 Kupakana na sehemu hii, Yedaya mwana wa Harumafu alikarabati sehemu iliyokuwa mkabala na nyumba yake, naye Hatushi mwana wa Hashabnea akakarabati sehemu iliyofuatia.
and, at their hand, repaired, Jedaiah son of Harumaph, even over against his own house, —and, at his hand, repaired, Hattush, son of Hashabneiah;
11 Malkiya mwana wa Harimu, na Hashubu mwana wa Pahath-Moabu walikarabati sehemu nyingine pamoja na Mnara wa Matanuru.
a second length, did Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab, repair, —also the tower of the ovens;
12 Shalumu mwana wa Haloheshi, mtawala wa nusu ya wilaya ya Yerusalemu, alikarabati sehemu iliyofuatia akisaidiwa na binti zake.
and, at his hand, repaired, Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem, —he and his daughters.
13 Lango la Bondeni lilikarabatiwa na Hanuni na wakazi wa Zanoa. Walilijenga upya, na kuweka milango yake na makomeo na nondo mahali pake. Pia walikarabati ukuta wenye urefu wa mita 450 hadi Lango la Samadi.
The valley-gate, did Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah, repair, —they, built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also a thousand cubits in the wall, as far as the dung-gate.
14 Lango la Samadi lilikarabatiwa na Malkiya mwana wa Rekabu, mtawala wa wilaya ya Beth-Hakeremu. Alilijenga upya, na kuweka milango yake, na makomeo na nondo.
And, the dung-gate, did Malchijah son of Rechab, ruler of the circuit of Beth-haccherem, repair, —he, built it, and set up the doors thereof, he locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
15 Lango la Chemchemi lilikarabatiwa na Shalumu mwana wa Kolhoze, mtawala wa wilaya ya Mispa. Alilijenga upya, akaliezeka na kuweka milango yake, na makomeo na nondo mahali pake. Pia alikarabati ukuta wa Bwawa la Siloamu karibu na Bustani ya Mfalme, hadi kwenye ngazi zinazoshuka kutoka Mji wa Daudi.
And, the fountain-gate, did Shallun son of Col-hozeh ruler of the circuit of Mizpah, repair, he, built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the garden of the king, even as far as the stairs that go down from the city of David;
16 Baada yake, Nehemia mwana wa Azbuki, mtawala wa nusu ya wilaya ya Beth-Suri, alikarabati kufikia mkabala na makaburi ya Daudi, mpaka kwenye bwawa lililotengenezwa, na kufikia Nyumba ya Mashujaa.
after him, repaired, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of the half-circuit of Beth-zur, —as far as over against the sepulchres of David, even unto the pool which had been made, and unto the house of heroes;
17 Baada yake, ukarabati ulifanywa na Walawi chini ya uongozi wa Rehumu mwana wa Bani. Aliyefuatia ni Hashabia, mtawala wa nusu ya wilaya ya Keila, aliyekarabati sehemu ya wilaya yake.
after him, repaired, the Levites, Rehum son of Bani, —at his hand, repaired, Hashabiah, ruler of the half-circuit of Keilah, for his circuit;
18 Baada yake, ukarabati ulifanywa na ndugu zao chini ya usimamizi wa Binui mwana wa Henadadi, mtawala wa nusu hiyo ingine ya wilaya ya Keila.
after him, repaired, their brethren, Bavvai son of Henadad, —ruler of the [other] half-circuit of Keilah;
19 Baada yao, Ezeri mwana wa Yeshua, mtawala wa Mispa, alikarabati sehemu nyingine, kuanzia ile sehemu inayotazamana na mwinuko wa kuelekea kwenye ghala la kuhifadhia silaha, mpaka kwenye pembe ya ukuta.
and there repaired at his hand, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, a second length, —over against the ascent of the armoury, at the corner;
20 Baada yake, Baruku mwana wa Zakai alikarabati kwa bidii sehemu nyingine kuanzia ile pembe, mpaka kwenye lango la nyumba ya Eliashibu kuhani mkuu.
after him, zealously repaired Baruch son of Zabbai, a second length, —from the corner, unto the opening of the house of Eliashib, the high priest;
21 Kupakana naye, Meremothi mwana wa Uria, mwana wa Hakosi, alikarabati sehemu nyingine, kuanzia penye lango la nyumba ya Eliashibu mpaka mwisho wake.
after him, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, a second length, —from the opening of the house of Eliashib, even unto the end of the house of Eliashib;
22 Baada yake, ukarabati ulifanywa na makuhani waliotoka eneo lililouzunguka mji.
and, after him, repaired, the priests, the men of the Circuit;
23 Baada yao Benyamini na Hashubu walikarabati mbele ya nyumba zao, na baada yao Azaria mwana wa Maaseya, mwana wa Anania alifanya ukarabati kando ya nyumba yake.
after him, repaired, Benjamin and Hasshub, over against their own house, —after him, repaired, Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah, beside his own house;
24 Baada yake, Binui mwana wa Henadadi alikarabati sehemu nyingine, kuanzia kwenye nyumba ya Azaria mpaka kwenye pembe ya ukuta.
after him, repaired, Binnui son of Henadad, a second length, —from the house of Azariah, unto the corner, even unto the pinnacle:
25 Naye Palali, mwana wa Uzai alijenga sehemu iliyokuwa mkabala na pembe ya ukuta, mpaka kwenye mnara wa juu ambao unajitokeza kuanzia kwenye jumba la kifalme, kando ya ua wa walinzi. Baada yake, Pedaya mwana wa Paroshi,
Palal, son of Uzai, from over against the corner, and the tower that projecteth from the upper house of the king, which belongeth to the court of custody, —after him, Pedaiah son of Parosh.
26 na watumishi wa Hekalu walioishi juu ya kilima cha Ofeli walikarabati hadi kufikia mkabala na Lango la Maji, kuelekea mashariki na ule mnara uliojitokeza.
Now, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —as far as over against the water-gate, on the east, and the tower that projecteth;
27 Baada yao, watu wa Tekoa walikarabati sehemu nyingine, kuanzia mnara mkubwa utokezao hadi ukuta wa Ofeli.
after him, repaired, the Tekoites, a second length, —from over against the great tower that projecteth, even unto the wall of Ophel:
28 Makuhani walifanya ukarabati juu ya Lango la Farasi, kila mmoja mbele ya nyumba yake.
from beside the horse-gate, repaired the priests, every one over against his own house;
29 Baada yao, Sadoki mwana wa Imeri alifanya ukarabati mkabala na nyumba yake. Baada yake, Shemaya mwana wa Shekania, mlinzi wa Lango la Mashariki, alifanya ukarabati.
after him, repaired, Zadok son of Immer, over against his own house, —and, after him, repaired, Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the east-gate;
30 Baada yake, Hanania mwana wa Shelemia, na Hanuni mwana wa sita wa Salafu walikarabati sehemu nyingine. Baada yao, Meshulamu mwana wa Berekia alikarabati sehemu iliyokuwa mkabala na nyumba zake za kuishi.
after him, repaired, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun sixth son of Zalaph, a second length, —after him, repaired, Meshullam son of Berechiah, over against his chamber;
31 Baada yake Malkiya, mmoja wa masonara, alifanya ukarabati mpaka kwenye nyumba za watumishi wa Hekalu na wafanyabiashara, mkabala na Lango la Ukaguzi, hadi kufikia chumba kilicho juu ya pembe.
after him, repaired, Malchijah son of Zorphi, as far as the house of the Nethinim, and the traders, —over against the muster-gate, even unto the ascent of the pinnacle;
32 Masonara na wafanyabiashara walifanya ukarabati kutoka chumba kilichoko juu ya pembe hadi Lango la Kondoo.
and, between the ascent of the pinnacle and the sheep-gate, repaired, the goldsmiths, and the traders.
