Mika 1
1 Neno la Bwana lilimjia Mika, Mmoreshethi, wakati wa utawala wa Yothamu, Ahazi na Hezekia, wafalme wa Yuda; ufunuo aliouona kuhusu Samaria na Yerusalemu.
The word of Jehovah, which came to Micah, the Morasthite, in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah; which was revealed to him concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Sikieni, enyi mataifa, enyi nyote, sikilizeni, ee dunia na wote mliomo ndani yake, ili Bwana Mwenyezi ashuhudie dhidi yenu, Bwana kutoka Hekalu lake takatifu.
Hear, all ye nations, Give ear, O earth, and all that is therein! The Lord, Jehovah, appeareth as a witness against you, The Lord from his holy palace.
3 Tazama! Bwana anakuja kutoka mahali pake; anashuka na kukanyaga mahali palipoinuka juu pa dunia.
Behold, Jehovah cometh forth from his dwelling-place; He cometh down, and advanceth upon the high places of the earth.
4 Milima inayeyuka chini yake na mabonde yanagawanyika kama nta mbele ya moto, kama maji yatiririkayo kasi kwenye mteremko.
The mountains melt under him, And the valleys cleave asunder, Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.
5 Yote haya ni kwa sababu ya kosa la Yakobo, ni kwa sababu ya dhambi za nyumba ya Israeli. Kosa la Yakobo ni lipi? Je, sio Samaria? Je, mahali pa juu pa Yuda pa kuabudia miungu ni nini? Je, sio Yerusalemu?
For the transgression of Jacob is all this, And for the sin of the house of Israel. Where is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not at Samaria? And where are the high places of Judah? Are they not at Jerusalem?
6 “Kwa hiyo nitaufanya Samaria kuwa lundo la kokoto, mahali pa kuotesha mizabibu. Nitayamwaga mawe yake katika bonde na kuacha wazi misingi yake.
Therefore will I make Samaria a heap of stones in the field, A place for the planting of a vineyard; I will pour down her stones into the valley, And lay bare her foundations.
7 Sanamu zake zote zitavunjwa vipande vipande; zawadi zake zote za Hekalu zitachomwa kwa moto; nitaharibu vinyago vyake vyote. Kwa kuwa alikusanya zawadi zake kutokana na ujira wa kahaba, nazo zitatumika tena kulipa mishahara ya kahaba.”
All her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, And all the hire of her harlotry shall be burned with fire, And all her idols will I destroy. For from the hire of a harlot did she gather her ornaments, And to the hire of a harlot shall they return.
8 Kwa ajili ya hili nitalia na kuomboleza; nitatembea bila viatu na tena uchi. Nitabweka kama mbweha na kuomboleza kama bundi.
Therefore I will wail and howl; I will go stripped and naked; I will wail like the jackal, And mourn like the ostrich.
9 Kwa sababu jeraha lake halitibiki; limekuja Yuda. Limefika hasa kwenye lango la watu wangu, hata Yerusalemu kwenyewe.
For her wound is mortal; It extendeth to Judah; It reacheth to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 Usiliseme hili huko Gathi; usilie hata kidogo. Huko Beth-le-Afra gaagaa mavumbini.
Tell it not in Gath! weep not in Acco! In Beth-Aprah roll yourselves in the dust!
11 Piteni mkiwa uchi na wenye aibu, ninyi mkaao Shafiri. Wale waishio Saanani hawatatoka nje. Beth-Eseli iko katika maombolezo; kinga yake imeondolewa kwako.
Pass on, thou inhabitant of Saphir, naked and in shame! The inhabitant of Zaanan no more goeth out; The grief of Beth-Azel denieth you an abode.
12 Wale waishio Marothi wanagaagaa kwa maumivu wakingoja msaada, kwa sababu maangamizi yamekuja kutoka kwa Bwana, hata katika lango la Yerusalemu.
The inhabitant of Maroth mourneth for his goods, For evil came down from Jehovah to the gates of Jerusalem.
13 Enyi mkaao Lakishi, fungeni farasi kwenye magari ya vita. Mlikuwa chanzo cha dhambi kwa Binti Sayuni, kwa kuwa makosa ya Israeli yalikutwa kwako.
Bind the chariot to the courser, O inhabitant of Lachish! Thou wast the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; In thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Kwa hiyo utaipa Moresheth-Gathi zawadi za kuagana. Mji wa Akzibu utaonyesha wazi udanganyifu kwa wafalme wa Israeli.
Therefore shalt thou resign the possession of Moresheth of Gath; The houses of Achzib shall disappoint the kings of Israel.
15 Nitawaleteeni atakayewashinda ninyi mnaoishi Maresha. Yeye aliye utukufu wa Israeli atakuja Adulamu.
A possessor will I bring to thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah; The glory of Israel shall flee to Adullam.
16 Nyoeni nywele zenu katika kuomboleza kwa ajili ya watoto wenu mnaowafurahia; jifanyieni upara kama tai, kwa kuwa watawaacha na kwenda uhamishoni.
Make thyself bald, cut off thy locks, for the children of thy love; Enlarge thy baldness like the eagle; For they have gone from thee into captivity.
