Luka 22
1 Wakati huu Sikukuu ya Mikate Isiyotiwa Chachu, iitwayo Pasaka, ilikuwa imekaribia.
Was drawing near now the Feast of Unleavened [Bread] which is being named Passover,
2 Viongozi wa makuhani na walimu wa sheria walikuwa wanatafuta njia ya kumuua Yesu, kwa sababu waliwaogopa watu.
And were seeking the chief priests and the scribes how they may execute him; they were afraid for of the people.
3 Shetani akamwingia Yuda, aliyeitwa Iskariote, mmoja wa wale Kumi na Wawili.
Entered then (*k*) Satan into Judas who (is being called *N(k)O*) Iscariot being of the number of the Twelve.
4 Yuda akaenda kwa viongozi wa makuhani na kwa maafisa wa walinzi wa Hekalu, akazungumza nao jinsi ambavyo angeweza kumsaliti Yesu.
And having gone away he spoke with the chief priests and (the *k*) captains how to them he may betray Him.
5 Wakafurahi na wakakubaliana kumpa fedha.
And they rejoiced and they agreed with him money to give.
6 Naye akakubali, akaanza kutafuta wakati uliofaa wa kumsaliti Yesu kwao, wakati ambapo hakuna umati wa watu.
And he promised and was seeking opportunity to betray Him apart from [a] crowd to them.
7 Basi ikawadia siku ya Mikate Isiyotiwa Chachu, siku ambayo mwana-kondoo wa Pasaka huchinjwa.
Came then the day of Unleavened [Bread] on which it was necessary for to be sacrificed the Passover lamb.
8 Hivyo Yesu akawatuma Petro na Yohana, akisema, “Nendeni mkatuandalie chakula cha Pasaka ili tuweze kuila.”
And He sent Peter and John having said; Having gone do prepare for us the Passover that we may eat [it].
9 Wakamuuliza, “Unataka tukuandalie wapi?”
And they said to Him; Where do you want [that] (we may prepare? *NK(o)*)
10 Yesu akawaambia, “Tazameni, mtakapokuwa mkiingia mjini, mtakutana na mwanaume amebeba mtungi wa maji. Mfuateni mpaka kwenye nyumba atakayoingia.
And He said to them; Behold when are entering you into the city will meet you a man a pitcher of water carrying. do follow him into the house (into *no*) (which *N(k)O*) he enters;
11 Nanyi mwambieni mwenye nyumba, ‘Mwalimu anauliza: Kiko wapi chumba cha wageni, ambamo mimi na wanafunzi wangu tutakula Pasaka?’
and you will say to the master of the house; Says to you the Teacher; Where is the guest room where the Passover with the disciples of Mine I may eat?
12 Atawaonyesha chumba kikubwa ghorofani, kikiwa kimepambwa vizuri. Andaeni humo.”
And he And he you will show an upper room large furnished; there do prepare.
13 Wakaenda, nao wakakuta kila kitu kama Yesu alivyowaambia. Hivyo wakaiandaa Pasaka.
Having gone then they found [it] even as (He had said *N(k)O*) to them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 Wakati ulipowadia, Yesu akaketi mezani pamoja na wale mitume wake.
And when was come the hour, He reclined and the (twelve *K*) apostles with Him.
15 Kisha akawaambia, “Nimetamani sana kuila Pasaka hii pamoja nanyi kabla ya kuteswa kwangu.
And He said to them; With desire I have desired this Passover to eat with you before I to suffe;
16 Kwa maana, nawaambia, sitaila tena Pasaka mpaka itakapotimizwa katika Ufalme wa Mungu.”
I say for to you that (no longer no longer *KO*) certainly not shall I eat (from *k*) (it *N(k)O*) until when it may be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Akiisha kukichukua kikombe, akashukuru, akasema, “Chukueni hiki mnywe wote.
And having received [the] cup having given thanks He said; do take this and do divide [it] (among *no*) (yourselves; *N(k)O*)
18 Kwa maana nawaambia tangu sasa sitakunywa tena katika uzao wa mzabibu, hadi Ufalme wa Mungu utakapokuja.”
I say for to you; that certainly not shall I drink (from *NO*) (*no*) (now *NO*) of the (fruit *N(k)O*) of the vine until (that [time] *N(k)O*) the kingdom of God may come.
19 Kisha akachukua mkate, akashukuru, akaumega, na kuwapa, akisema, “Huu ni mwili wangu unaotolewa kwa ajili yenu. Fanyeni hivi kwa ukumbusho wangu.”
And having taken [the] bread having given thanks He broke [it] and He gave to them saying; This is the body of Mine which for you is given; this do perform in the My remembrance.
20 Vivyo hivyo baada ya kula, akakitwaa kikombe, akisema, “Kikombe hiki ni agano jipya katika damu yangu, imwagikayo kwa ajili yenu.
and the cup likewise after the eating saying; This cup [is] the new covenant in the blood of Me which for you is being poured out.
21 Lakini mkono wake huyo atakayenisaliti uko hapa mezani pamoja nami.
But behold the hand of the [one] betraying Me [is] with Me on the table.
22 Mwana wa Adamu anaenda zake kama ilivyokusudiwa. Lakini ole wake mtu huyo amsalitiye.”
(For *N(k)O*) the Son indeed of man according to that determined goes; but woe to the man that [one] through whom He is betrayed.
23 Wakaanza kuulizana wenyewe ni nani miongoni mwao angeweza kufanya jambo hilo.
And they themselves began to question among themselves who then it would be of them who this is about to do.
24 Pia yakazuka mabishano katikati ya wanafunzi kwamba ni nani aliyeonekana kuwa mkuu kuliko wote miongoni mwao.
There was then also a dispute among them, which of them is thought to be [the] greatest.
25 Yesu akawaambia, “Wafalme na watu wa Mataifa huwatawala watu kwa nguvu. Nao wenye mamlaka juu yao hujiita ‘Wafadhili.’
And He said to them; The kings of the Gentiles rule over them, and those exercising authority over them benefactors are called.
26 Lakini ninyi msifanane nao. Bali yeye aliye mkuu kuliko wote miongoni mwenu, inampasa kuwa kama yeye aliye mdogo wa wote, naye atawalaye na awe kama yeye ahudumuye.
You however not thus [shall be], Instead the greater among you (he should become *N(k)O*) as the younger, and the [one] leading as the [one] serving.
27 Kwani ni nani aliye mkuu? Ni yule aketiye mezani au ni yule ahudumuye? Si ni yule aliyekaa mezani? Lakini mimi niko miongoni mwenu kama yule ahudumuye.
Who for [is] greater, the [one] reclining or the [one] serving? Surely the [one] reclining? I myself however in [the] midst of you am as the [One] serving.
28 Ninyi mmekuwa pamoja nami katika majaribu yangu.
You yourselves now are those having remained with Me in the trials of Mine.
29 Nami kama Baba yangu alivyonipa ufalme, kadhalika mimi nami ninawapa ninyi,
And I myself And I myself appoint to you even as appointed to Me the Father of Mine a kingdom,
30 ili mpate kula na kunywa mezani pangu katika karamu ya ufalme wangu, na kukaa katika viti vya enzi, mkihukumu makabila kumi na mawili ya Israeli.”
so that you may eat and may drink at the table of Mine in the kingdom of Mine and (will sit *N(k)(o)*) on thrones the twelve tribes judging of Israel.
31 Yesu akasema, “Simoni, Simoni, sikiliza, Shetani ameomba kuwapepeta ninyi wote kama ngano.
(said now Lord: *KO*) Simon Simon, Behold Satan demanded to have all of you to sift like wheat.
32 Lakini nimekuombea wewe Simoni ili imani yako isishindwe, nawe ukiisha kunirudia, uwaimarishe ndugu zako.”
I myself however begged for you that not (may fail *N(k)O*) the faith of you. and you yourself when you have turned back do strengthen the brothers of you.
33 Petro akajibu, “Bwana, niko tayari kwenda pamoja nawe gerezani na hata kifoni.”
And he said to Him; Lord, with You ready I am both to prison and to death to go.
34 Yesu akamjibu, “Ninakuambia Petro, kabla jogoo hajawika usiku wa leo, utakana mara tatu kwamba hunijui mimi.”
And He said; I tell you Peter, certainly (not *k*) (will crow *N(k)O*) today [the] rooster (until *N(k)O*) three times Me you may deny (not *k*) to know
35 Kisha Yesu akawauliza, “Nilipowatuma bila mfuko, wala mkoba, wala viatu, mlipungukiwa na kitu chochote?” Wakajibu, “La, hatukupungukiwa na kitu chochote.”
And He said to them; When I sent you without purse and bag and sandals, not anything did you lack? And they said; No [thing].
36 Akawaambia, “Lakini sasa, aliye na mfuko na auchukue, na aliye na mkoba vivyo hivyo. Naye asiye na upanga, auze joho lake anunue mmoja.
He said (then *N(k)O*) to them; But now the [one] having a purse he should take [it], likewise also a bag; and the [one] not having (he should sell *NK(o)*) the cloak of him and (he should buy *NK(o)*) a sword.
37 Kwa sababu, nawaambia, andiko hili lazima litimizwe juu yangu, kwamba, ‘Alihesabiwa pamoja na wakosaji’; kwa kweli yaliyoandikwa kunihusu mimi hayana budi kutimizwa.”
I say for to you that (still *k*) this which [was] written it behooves to be accomplished in Me myself, And with [the] lawless He was reckoned.’ And for (the [thing] *N(K)O*) concerning Me an end have.
38 Wanafunzi wake wakamwambia, “Bwana, tazama hapa kuna panga mbili.” Akawajibu, “Inatosha.”
And they said; Lord, behold swords here [are] two. And He said to them; Enough it is.
39 Yesu akatoka, akaenda kwenye Mlima wa Mizeituni kama ilivyokuwa kawaida yake, nao wanafunzi wake wakamfuata.
And having gone forth He went according to the custom to the Mount of Olives. followed then Him also the disciples (of him. *k*)
40 Walipofika huko, akawaambia wanafunzi wake, “Ombeni, msije mkaingia majaribuni.”
Having come then to the place He said to them; do pray not to enter into temptation.
41 Akajitenga nao kama umbali wa kutupa jiwe, akapiga magoti, akaomba
And He himself withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and having fallen on the knees He was praying
42 akisema, “Baba, kama ni mapenzi yako, niondolee kikombe hiki. Lakini si kama nipendavyo, bali mapenzi yako yatendeke.”
saying; Father, if You are willing (do take away *N(k)O*) this cup from Me; Yet not [be done] the will of Me but of You (should be [done]. *N(k)O*)
43 Malaika kutoka mbinguni akamtokea, akamtia nguvu.
Appeared then to Him an angel from (*o*) heaven strengthening Him.
44 Naye akiwa katika maumivu makuu, akaomba kwa bidii, nalo jasho lake likawa kama matone ya damu yakidondoka ardhini.
And having been in agony more earnestly He was praying. (And *no*) became (now *ko*) the sweat of Him like great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
45 Baada ya kuomba, akawarudia wanafunzi wake akawakuta wamelala, wakiwa wamechoka kutokana na huzuni.
And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples He found sleeping them from the grief
46 Naye akawauliza, “Mbona mmelala? Amkeni, mwombe ili msije mkaingia majaribuni.”
and He said to them; Why are you sleeping? Having risen up do pray that not you may enter into temptation.
47 Yesu alipokuwa bado anazungumza, umati mkubwa wa watu ukaja. Uliongozwa na Yuda, ambaye alikuwa mmoja wa wale wanafunzi Kumi na Wawili. Akamkaribia Yesu ili ambusu.
While still (now *k*) when he is speaking behold a crowd, and the [one] named Judas one of the Twelve was going before (them *N(k)O*) and he drew near to Jesus to kiss Him.
48 Lakini Yesu akamwambia, “Yuda, je, unamsaliti Mwana wa Adamu kwa busu?”
(*k*) Jesus then said to him; Judas, with a kiss the Son of Man are you betraying?
49 Wafuasi wa Yesu walipoona yale yaliyokuwa yanakaribia kutokea, wakasema, “Bwana, tuwakatekate kwa panga zetu?”
Having seen then those around Him what will be they said (to him: *k*) Lord, if will we strike with [the] sword?
50 Mmoja wao akampiga mtumishi wa kuhani mkuu kwa upanga, akamkata sikio la kuume.
And struck one a certain of them of the high priest the servant and cut off the ear of him right.
51 Lakini Yesu akasema, “Acheni!” Akaligusa lile sikio la yule mtu na kumponya.
Answering now Jesus said; do allow [only] as far as this! And having touched the ear (of him *k*) He healed him.
52 Kisha Yesu akawaambia wale viongozi wa makuhani, maafisa wa walinzi wa Hekalu, pamoja na wazee waliokuwa wamekuja kumkamata, “Mmekuja na panga na marungu, kana kwamba mimi ni mnyangʼanyi?
Said then (*k*) Jesus to those having come out against Him chief priests and captains of the temple and elders; As against a robber (have you come out *N(k)O*) with swords and clubs?
53 Siku kwa siku nilikuwa pamoja nanyi Hekaluni lakini hamkunikamata. Lakini hii ni saa yenu, wakati giza linatawala!”
Every day being Me with you in the temple not did you stretch out the hands against Me myself. but this is of you the hour and the power of the darkness.
54 Kisha wakamkamata Yesu, wakamchukua, wakaenda naye mpaka nyumbani kwa kuhani mkuu. Lakini Petro akafuata kwa mbali.
Having seized then Him they led [Him] away and brought (him *k*) into (the home *N(k)O*) of the high priest. And Peter was following afar off.
55 Walipokwisha kuwasha moto katikati ya ua na kuketi pamoja, Petro naye akaketi pamoja nao.
(They having kindled around *N(k)O*) then a fire in [the] midst of the courtyard and when having sat down together (they *k*) was sitting Peter (in *k*) (midst *N(k)O*) of them.
56 Mtumishi mmoja wa kike akamwona kwa mwanga wa moto akiwa ameketi pale. Akamtazama sana, akasema, “Huyu mtu pia alikuwa pamoja na Yesu!”
Having seen then him a servant girl certain sitting by the light and having looked intently on him she said; Also this one with Him was.
57 Lakini Petro akakana, akasema, “Ewe mwanamke, hata simjui!”
But he denied (him *K*) saying; Not I do know Him, woman.
58 Baadaye kidogo, mtu mwingine alimwona Petro akasema, “Wewe pia ni mmoja wao!” Petro akajibu, “Wewe mtu, mimi sio mmoja wao!”
And after a little another having seen him was saying; Also you yourself of them are. But Peter (was saying; *N(k)O*) Man, not I am.
59 Baada ya muda wa kama saa moja hivi, mtu mwingine akazidi kusisitiza, “Kwa hakika huyu mtu naye alikuwa pamoja na Yesu, kwa maana yeye pia ni Mgalilaya.”
And when was elapsing about hour one other a certain was strongly affirming [it] saying; Of a truth also this one with Him was; also for a Galilean he is.
60 Petro akajibu, “Wewe mtu, mimi sijui unalosema!” Wakati huo huo, akiwa bado anazungumza, jogoo akawika.
Said however Peter; Man, not I know what you say. And immediately while is speaking he crowed (the *k*) rooster.
61 Naye Bwana akageuka, akamtazama Petro. Ndipo Petro akakumbuka lile neno ambalo Bwana alimwambia: “Kabla jogoo hajawika leo, utanikana mara tatu.”
And having turned the Lord looked at Peter, and remembered Peter the (declaration *N(k)O*) of the Lord how He had said to him that Before [the] rooster crowing (today *NO*) you will deny Me three times.
62 Naye akaenda nje, akalia kwa majonzi.
And having gone forth outside (Peter *k*) he wept bitterly.
63 Watu waliokuwa wanamlinda Yesu wakaanza kumdhihaki na kumpiga.
And the men who are holding (*k*) (Him *N(K)O*) were mocking Him beating [Him].
64 Wakamfunga kitambaa machoni na kumuuliza, “Tabiri! Tuambie ni nani aliyekupiga?”
And having blindfolded Him (they were striking of him face and *K*) they were questioning (him *k*) saying; do prophesy, who is the [one] having struck You?
65 Wakaendelea kumtukana kwa matusi mengi.
And other things many blaspheming they were saying to Him.
66 Kulipopambazuka, baraza la wazee wa watu, yaani viongozi wa makuhani na walimu wa sheria, wakakutana pamoja, naye Yesu akaletwa mbele yao.
And when it became day, were gathered together the elderhood of the people, chief priests both and scribes, and (they led away *N(k)O*) Him into the council (of them *N(k)O*)
67 Wakamwambia, “Kama wewe ndiye Kristo, tuambie.” Yesu akawajibu, “Hata nikiwaambia hamtaamini.
saying; If You yourself are the Christ, do tell us. He said then to them; If you I shall tell, certainly not you shall believe.
68 Nami nikiwauliza swali, hamtanijibu.
if then (and *k*) I shall ask [you], certainly not you shall answer (to me nor shall you release [me]. *KO*)
69 Lakini kuanzia sasa, Mwana wa Adamu ataketi mkono wa kuume wa Mungu Mwenye Nguvu.”
From now on (also *no*) will be the Son of Man sitting at [the] right hand of the power of God.
70 Wote wakauliza, “Wewe basi ndiwe Mwana wa Mungu?” Yeye akawajibu, “Ninyi mwasema kwamba mimi ndiye.”
They said then all; You yourself then are the Son of God? And to them He was saying; You yourselves say that I myself am.
71 Kisha wakasema, “Tuna haja gani tena ya ushahidi zaidi? Tumesikia wenyewe kutoka kinywani mwake.”
And they said; What any more have we of witness need We ourselves for heard [it] from the mouth of Him.
