Waamuzi 10
1 Baada ya Abimeleki, Tola mwana wa Pua mwana wa Dodo, mtu wa Isakari, aliyeishi huko Shamiri, katika nchi ya vilima ya Efraimu, akainuka kuokoa Israeli.
And he arose after Abimelech to deliver Israel Tola [the] son of Puah [the] son of Dodo man of Issachar and he [was] dwelling in Shamir in [the] hill country of Ephraim.
2 Akaamua Israeli kwa miaka ishirini na mitatu. Ndipo akafa, naye akazikwa huko Shamiri.
And he judged Israel twenty and three year[s] and he died and he was buried in Shamir.
3 Baada yake akafuatiwa na Yairi, Mgileadi, ambaye aliamua Israeli kwa miaka ishirini na miwili.
And he arose after him Jair the Gileadite and he judged Israel twenty and two year[s].
4 Alikuwa na wana thelathini waliopanda punda thelathini. Nao walikuwa na miji thelathini iliyoko Gileadi, inayoitwa Hawoth-Yairi mpaka leo.
And it belonged to him thirty sons [who] rode on thirty donkeys and thirty cities [belonged] to them them people call - Havvoth Jair until the day this which [are] in [the] land of Gilead.
5 Yairi akafa, naye akazikwa huko Kamoni.
And he died Jair and he was buried in Kamon.
6 Wana wa Israeli wakatenda tena maovu machoni pa Bwana. Wakaabudu Mabaali na Maashtorethi, miungu ya Aramu, miungu ya Sidoni, miungu ya Moabu, miungu ya Waamoni na miungu ya Wafilisti. Kwa kuwa Waisraeli walimwacha Bwana wala hawakuendelea kumtumikia,
And they repeated - [the] people of Israel to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and they served the Baals and the Ashtaroth and [the] gods of Aram and [the] gods of Sidon and - [the] gods of Moab and [the] gods of [the] people of Ammon and [the] gods of [the] Philistines and they forsook Yahweh and not they served him.
7 hivyo hasira ya Bwana ikawaka dhidi ya Israeli, naye akawatia mikononi mwa Wafilisti na Waamoni,
And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel and he sold them in [the] hand of [the] Philistines and in [the] hand of [the] people of Ammon.
8 ambao waliwaonea na kuwatesa mwaka ule. Kwa miaka kumi na minane wakawatesa Waisraeli wote upande wa mashariki ya Mto Yordani katika Gileadi, nchi ya Waamori.
And they shattered and they crushed [the] people of Israel in the year that eight-teen year[s] all [the] people of Israel who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan in [the] land of the Amorite[s] which [is] in Gilead.
9 Waamoni nao wakavuka Yordani ili kupigana na Yuda, Benyamini na nyumba ya Efraimu, nayo nyumba ya Israeli ikawa katika taabu kubwa.
And they passed over [the] people of Ammon the Jordan to fight also against Judah and against Benjamin and against [the] house of Ephraim and it was distress to Israel exceedingly.
10 Ndipo Waisraeli wakamlilia Bwana wakasema, “Tumetenda dhambi dhidi yako, kumwacha Mungu wetu na kutumikia Mabaali.”
And they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh saying we have sinned to you and for we have forsaken God our and we have served the Baals.
11 Bwana akawaambia, “Wakati Wamisri, Waamori, Waamoni, Wafilisti,
And he said Yahweh to [the] people of Israel ¿ not from Egypt and from the Amorite[s] and from [the] people of Ammon and from [the] Philistines.
12 Wasidoni, Waamaleki na Wamaoni walipowaonea na ninyi mkanililia na kuomba msaada, je, sikuwaokoa kutoka mikononi mwao?
And [the] Sidonians and Amalek and Maon they oppressed you and you cried out to me and I delivered! you from hand their.
13 Lakini ninyi mmeniacha mimi na kutumikia miungu mingine, kwa hiyo sitawaokoa tena.
And you you have forsaken me and you have served gods other therefore not I will repeat to deliver you.
14 Nendeni mkaililie ile miungu mlioichagua. Hiyo miungu na iwaokoe mnapokuwa katika taabu!”
Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen them they let them deliver you at [the] time of distress your.
15 Lakini Waisraeli wakamwambia Bwana, “Tumetenda dhambi. Ututendee lile unaloona kuwa jema kwako, lakini twakusihi utuokoe sasa.”
And they said [the] people of Israel to Yahweh we have sinned do you to us according to all the good in view your only deliver us please the day this.
16 Nao wakaiondoa hiyo miungu migeni katikati yao nao wakamtumikia Bwana. Naye akahuzunika kwa sababu ya taabu ya Israeli.
And they removed [the] gods of foreignness from midst their and they served Yahweh and it was short self his at [the] trouble of Israel.
17 Ndipo Waamoni wakaitwa vitani na kupiga kambi huko Gileadi, Waisraeli wakakusanyika na kupiga kambi huko Mispa.
And they were summoned [the] people of Ammon and they encamped in Gilead and they gathered [the] people of Israel and they encamped at Mizpah.
18 Viongozi wa watu wa Gileadi wakaambiana wao kwa wao, “Yeyote yule atakayeanzisha mashambulizi dhidi ya Waamoni atakuwa kiongozi wa wote wakaao Gileadi.”
And they said the people [the] leaders of Gilead each to neighbor his who? [is] the man who he will begin to fight against [the] people of Ammon he will become chief of all [the] inhabitants of Gilead.
