Yohana 16
1 “Nimewaambia mambo haya yote ili msije mkaiacha imani.
These things I have spoken to you that not you may fall away.
2 Watawatenga na masinagogi. Naam, saa yaja ambayo mtu yeyote atakayewaua atadhani kwa kufanya hivyo anamtumikia Mungu.
Out of the synagogues they will put you; but is coming an hour that everyone who having killed you may think [it is] a service to offer to God.
3 Nao watawatenda haya kwa sababu hawamjui Baba wala mimi.
And these things they will do (to you *k*) because not they know the Father nor Me myself.
4 Lakini nimewaambia ninyi mambo haya, ili saa hiyo ikiwadia mpate kukumbuka ya kuwa nilikuwa nimewaambia. Sikuwaambia mambo haya tangu mwanzo kwa sababu nilikuwa pamoja nanyi.
But these things I have said to you, so that when may have come the hour (of them, *no*) you may remember those [things] that I myself said to you. These things now to you from [the] beginning not I said, because with you I was.
5 “Sasa mimi ninakwenda kwake yeye aliyenituma, lakini hakuna hata aniulizaye, ‘Unakwenda wapi?’
Now however I go to the [One] having sent Me, and none of you asks Me; Where are You going?
6 Kwa sababu nimewaambia mambo haya, mioyo yenu imejawa na huzuni.
But because these things I have said to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 Lakini nawaambia kweli, yafaa mimi niondoke, kwa kuwa nisipoondoka, huyo Msaidizi hatakuja kwenu, lakini nikienda nitamtuma kwenu.
But I myself the truth say to you; it is profitable for you that I myself may go away; only for (I myself *o*) unless I shall go away, the Helper (not will come *NK(o)*) to you; if however I shall go, I will send Him to you.
8 Naye atakapokuja, atauthibitishia ulimwengu kuhusu dhambi, haki na hukumu.
And having come He will convict the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment.
9 Kwa habari ya dhambi, kwa sababu hawaniamini mimi,
concerning sin indeed, because not do they believe in Me myself;
10 kwa habari ya haki, kwa sababu ninakwenda kwa Baba, nanyi hamtaniona tena,
concerning righteousness however, because to the Father (of mine *k*) I go away, and no longer no longer you behold Me;
11 kwa habari ya hukumu, kwa sababu yule mkuu wa ulimwengu huu amekwisha kuhukumiwa.
concerning now judgment, because the ruler of the world this has been judged.
12 “Bado ninayo mambo mengi ya kuwaambia, lakini hamwezi kuyastahimili sasa.
Yet many things I have to you to say but not you are able to bear them now.
13 Atakapokuja huyo Roho wa kweli atawaongoza awatie katika kweli yote. Yeye hatanena kwa ajili yake mwenyewe, bali atanena yale yote atakayosikia, naye atawaonyesha mambo yajayo.
When however may come He, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you (into the truth all. *N(k)O*) not for He will speak from Himself, but as much as (maybe *k*) (He will hear *N(k)(o)*) He will speak and the [things] coming He will declare to you.
14 Atanitukuza mimi, kwa maana atayachukua yaliyo yangu na kuwajulisha ninyi.
He Me myself will glorify, for from that which [is] Mine He will take and will disclose to you.
15 Vyote alivyo navyo Baba ni vyangu. Ndiyo maana nimesema Roho atachukua yaliyo yangu na kuwajulisha ninyi.
All things as much as has the Father Mine are; because of this I said that from that which [is] Mine (He receives *N(k)O*) and will disclose to you.
16 “Bado kitambo kidogo nanyi hamtaniona na tena bado kitambo kidogo nanyi mtaniona.”
A little [while] and (no longer no longer *N(K)O*) you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me (that I myself I am going to Father. *K*)
17 Baadhi ya wanafunzi wakaulizana, “Ana maana gani asemapo, ‘Bado kitambo kidogo nanyi hamtaniona na tena bado kitambo kidogo nanyi mtaniona’? Naye ana maana gani asemapo, ‘Kwa sababu ninakwenda kwa Baba’?”
Said therefore [some] of the disciples of him to one another; What is this that He says to us; A little [while] and not you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me’? and Because (I myself *k*) I am going to the Father’?
18 Wakaendelea kuulizana, “Ana maana gani asemapo, ‘Kitambo kidogo’? Hatuelewi hilo analosema.”
They were saying therefore; what is This that He says a little [while]’? Not we do know what He is saying.
19 Yesu akatambua kuwa walitaka kumuuliza juu ya hilo, hivyo akawaambia, “Je, mnaulizana nina maana gani niliposema, ‘Bado kitambo kidogo nanyi hamtaniona na tena bado kitambo kidogo nanyi mtaniona’?
Knew (therefore *K*) Jesus that they were desiring Him to ask, and He said to them; Concerning this do you inquire among one another that I said; A little [while] and not you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me’?
20 Amin, amin nawaambia, ninyi mtalia na kuomboleza, lakini ulimwengu utafurahi. Ninyi mtahuzunika, lakini huzuni yenu itageuka kuwa furaha.
Amen Amen I say to you that you will weep and will lament you yourselves, but the world will rejoice; You yourselves (now *k*) will be grieved, but the grief of you to joy will turn.
21 Mwanamke anapokuwa na utungu wa kuzaa huwa na maumivu kwa sababu saa yake imewadia. Lakini mtoto akiisha kuzaliwa, yule mwanamke husahau maumivu hayo kwa sababu ya furaha ya kuzaliwa mtoto ulimwenguni.
The woman when she may be giving birth pain has, because has come the hour of her; when however she may bring forth the child, no longer no longer she remembers the tribulation on account of the joy that has been born a man into the world.
22 Hivyo ninyi mna maumivu sasa, lakini nitawaona tena, nayo mioyo yenu itafurahi na furaha yenu hakuna awaondoleaye.
Also you yourselves therefore now indeed grief have, again however I will see you and will rejoice your heart, and the joy of you no [one] (do take *NK(o)*) from you,
23 Katika siku hiyo hamtaniuliza neno lolote. Amin, amin nawaambia, kama mkimwomba Baba jambo lolote kwa jina langu, yeye atawapa.
And in that [very] day of Me myself not you will ask no [thing]. Amen Amen I say to you; (that *k*) maybe (whatever *N(k)O*) you may ask the Father in the name of Me He will give to you.
24 Mpaka sasa hamjaomba jambo lolote kwa Jina langu. Ombeni nanyi mtapewa, ili furaha yenu ipate kuwa kamili.
Until now not you have asked no [thing] in the name of Me; do ask and you will receive, that the joy of you may be filled.
25 “Nimewaambia mambo haya kwa mafumbo. Saa yaja ambapo sitazungumza nanyi tena kwa mafumbo bali nitawaeleza waziwazi kuhusu Baba.
These things in allegories I have spoken to you; (but *K*) is coming an hour when no longer no longer in allegories I will speak to you but plainly concerning the Father (I will announce *N(k)O*) to you.
26 Siku hiyo mtaomba kwa Jina langu. Wala sitawaambia kwamba nitamwomba Baba kwa ajili yenu,
In that [very] day in the name of Me you will ask; and not I say to you that I myself will implore the Father for you;
27 kwa maana Baba mwenyewe anawapenda, kwa sababu mmenipenda mimi na mmeamini kwamba nimetoka kwa Mungu.
Himself for the Father loves you, because you yourselves Me myself have loved and have believed that I myself from (God *NK(O)*) came forth.
28 Nilitoka kwa Baba na kuja ulimwenguni, sasa naondoka ulimwenguni na kurudi kwa Baba.”
I came forth (from with *NK(o)*) the Father and have come into the world; again I leave the world and go to the Father.
29 Ndipo wanafunzi wake wakasema, “Sasa unazungumza waziwazi, wala si kwa mafumbo.
Say (to him *k*) the disciples of Him; Behold now (in *no*) openness You speak and allegory no [thing] speak.
30 Sasa tumejua kwamba wewe unajua mambo yote, wala hakuna haja ya mtu kukuuliza maswali. Kwa jambo hili tunaamini kwamba ulitoka kwa Mungu.”
Now we know that You know all things and not need have that anyone You may ask. In this we believe that from God You came forth.
31 Yesu akawajibu, “Je, sasa mnaamini?
Answered to them (*k*) Jesus; Now do you believe?
32 Saa inakuja, naam, imekwisha kuwadia, mtakapotawanyika kila mmoja kwenda nyumbani kwake na kuniacha peke yangu. Lakini mimi siko peke yangu kwa sababu Baba yu pamoja nami.
Behold is coming an hour and (now *k*) has come when you may be scattered each to [his] own and I and I alone you may leave; yet not I am alone, for the Father with Me is.
33 Nimewaambia mambo haya, ili mpate kuwa na amani mkiwa ndani yangu. Ulimwenguni mtapata dhiki. Lakini jipeni moyo, kwa maana mimi nimeushinda ulimwengu.”
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me myself peace you may have. In the world tribulation you have; But take courage! I myself have overcome the world.
