1 Wakati huu Amrafeli mfalme wa Shinari, Arioko mfalme wa Elasari, Kedorlaoma mfalme wa Elamu, na Tidali mfalme wa Goimu
And in the dayes of Amraphel King of Shinar, Arioch King of Ellasar, Chedor-laomer King of Elam, and Tidal king of the nations:
2 kwa pamoja walikwenda kupigana vita dhidi ya Bera mfalme wa Sodoma, Birsha mfalme wa Gomora, Shinabu mfalme wa Adma, Shemeberi mfalme wa Seboimu, na mfalme wa Bela (yaani Soari).
These men made warre with Bera King of Sodom, and with Birsha King of Gomorah, Shinab King of Admah, and Shemeber King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar.
3 Hawa wote waliotajwa mwishoni waliunganisha majeshi yao kutoka Bonde la Sidimu (yaani Bahari ya Chumvi).
All these ioyned together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt Sea.
4 Walikuwa wametawaliwa na Mfalme Kedorlaoma kwa miaka kumi na miwili, lakini mwaka wa kumi na tatu waliasi.
Twelue yeere were they subiect to Chedor-laomer, but in the thirteenth yeere they rebelled.
5 Mnamo mwaka wa kumi na nne, Mfalme Kedorlaoma na wafalme waliojiunga naye walikwenda kupigana na kuwashinda Warefai katika Ashtaroth-Kanaimu, Wazuzi katika Hamu, Waemi katika Shawe-Kiriathaimu,
And in the fourteenth yeere came Chedor-laomer, and the Kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaueh Kiriathaim,
6 na Wahori katika nchi ya kilima cha Seiri, hadi El-Parani karibu na jangwa.
And the Horites in their mount Seir, vnto the plaine of Paran, which is by the wildernesse.
7 Kisha wakarudi wakaenda En-Misfati (yaani Kadeshi), wakashinda nchi yote ya Waamaleki, pamoja na Waamori waliokuwa wakiishi Hasason-Tamari.
And they returned and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the countrey of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites that dwelled in Hazezon-tamar.
8 Ndipo mfalme wa Sodoma, mfalme wa Gomora, mfalme wa Adma, mfalme wa Seboimu, na mfalme wa Bela (yaani Soari) wakatoka kupanga majeshi yao kwenye Bonde la Sidimu
Then went out the King of Sodom, and the King of Gomorah, and the King of Admah, and the King of Zeboiim, and the King of Bela, which is Zoar: and they ioyned battell with them in the vale of Siddim:
9 dhidi ya Kedorlaoma, mfalme wa Elamu, Tidali mfalme wa Goimu, Amrafeli mfalme wa Shinari, na Arioko mfalme wa Elasari, yaani wafalme wanne dhidi ya wafalme watano.
To wit, with Chedor-laomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar: foure Kings against fiue.
10 Basi Bonde la Sidimu lilikuwa limejaa mashimo ya lami, nao wafalme wa Sodoma na wa Gomora walipokimbia, baadhi ya watu walitumbukia huko na wengine wakakimbilia vilimani.
Now the vale of Siddim was full of slime pits, and the Kings of Sodom and Gomorah fled and fell there: and ye residue fled to the mountaine.
11 Wale wafalme wanne wakateka mali yote ya Sodoma na Gomora pamoja na vyakula vyao vyote, kisha wakaenda zao.
Then they tooke all the substance of Sodom and Gomorah, and al their vitailes and went their way.
12 Pia walimteka Loti mwana wa ndugu yake Abramu pamoja na mali zake, kwa kuwa alikuwa akiishi Sodoma.
They tooke Lot also Abrams brothers sonne and his substance (for he dwelt at Sodom) and departed.
13 Mtu mmoja aliyekuwa ametoroka akaja kumpa Abramu Mwebrania taarifa. Wakati huu Abramu alikuwa anaishi karibu na mialoni ya Mamre Mwamori, aliyekuwa ndugu yake Eshkoli na Aneri, ambao wote walikuwa wameungana na Abramu.
Then came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Ebrew, which dwelt in the plaine of Mamre ye Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, which were confederat with Abram.
14 Abramu alipopata habari kwamba jamaa yake amechukuliwa mateka, akawaita watu 318 wa nyumbani mwake waliokuwa wamefunzwa kupigana vita, wakawafuatilia hadi Dani.
When Abram heard that his brother was taken, he brought forth of them that were borne and brought vp in his house, three hundreth and eighteene, and pursued them vnto Dan.
15 Wakati wa usiku Abramu aliwagawa watu wake katika vikosi ili awashambulie, na akawafuatilia, akawafukuza hadi Hoba, kaskazini ya Dameski.
Then he, and his seruants deuided them selues against them by night, and smote them and pursued them vnto Hobah, which is on the left side of Damascus,
16 Akarudisha mali zote, na akamrudisha Loti jamaa yake na mali zake, pamoja na wanawake na watu wengine.
And he recouered all the substance, and also brought againe his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also and the people.
17 Abramu aliporudi baada ya kumshinda Mfalme Kedorlaoma na wale wafalme waliojiunga naye, mfalme wa Sodoma akatoka kwenda kumlaki katika Bonde la Shawe (yaani Bonde la Mfalme).
After that he returned from the slaughter of Chedor-laomer, and of the Kings that were with him, came the King of Sodom foorth to meete him in the valley of Shaueh, which is the Kings dale.
18 Ndipo Melkizedeki mfalme wa Salemu alipoleta mkate na divai. Alikuwa kuhani wa Mungu Aliye Juu Sana.
And Melchi-zedek King of Shalem brought foorth bread and wine: and he was a Priest of the most high God.
19 Naye akambariki Abramu, akisema, “Abarikiwe Abramu na Mungu Aliye Juu Sana, Muumba wa mbingu na nchi.
Therefore he blessed him, saying, Blessed art thou, Abram, of God most high possessour of heauen and earth,
20 Abarikiwe Mungu Aliye Juu Sana, ambaye amewaweka adui zako mkononi mwako.” Ndipo Abramu akampa Melkizedeki sehemu ya kumi ya kila kitu.
And blessed be the most high God, which hath deliuered thine enemies into thine hand. And Abram gaue him tythe of all.
21 Mfalme wa Sodoma akamwambia Abramu, “Nipe hao watu na hizo mali uchukue wewe mwenyewe.”
Then the King of Sodom saide to Abram, Giue me the persons, and take the goodes to thy selfe.
22 Lakini Abramu akamwambia mfalme wa Sodoma, “Nimeinua mkono wangu kwa Bwana, Mungu Aliye Juu Sana, Muumba wa mbingu na dunia, na nimeapa
And Abram said to the King of Sodom, I haue lift vp mine hand vnto the Lord the most hie God possessor of heauen and earth,
23 kwamba sitapokea kitu chochote kilicho chako, hata kama ni uzi au gidamu ya kiatu, ili kamwe usije ukasema, ‘Nimemtajirisha Abramu.’
That I will not take of all that is thine, so much as a threde or shoolatchet, lest thou shouldest say, I haue made Abram riche,
24 Sitapokea chochote, ila kile tu watu wangu walichokula na sehemu ambayo ni fungu la watu waliokwenda pamoja nami, ambao ni Aneri, Eshkoli na Mamre. Wao na wapewe fungu lao.”
Saue onely that, which the yong men haue eaten, and the partes of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre: let them take their partes.
