Wagalatia 1
1 Paulo mtume: si mtume wa wanadamu wala aliyetumwa na mwanadamu, bali na Yesu Kristo na Mungu Baba aliyemfufua Yesu kutoka kwa wafu;
Pavl an Apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Iesus Christ, and God the Father which hath raised him from the dead)
2 na ndugu wote walio pamoja nami: Kwa makanisa ya Galatia:
And all the brethren which are with me, vnto the Churches of Galatia:
3 Neema iwe nanyi na amani itokayo kwa Mungu Baba yetu na kwa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo,
Grace be with you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Iesus Christ,
4 aliyejitoa kwa ajili ya dhambi zetu ili apate kutuokoa katika ulimwengu huu wa sasa ulio mbaya, sawasawa na mapenzi yake yeye aliye Mungu na Baba yetu. (aiōn g165)
Which gaue himself for our sinnes, that he might deliuer vs from this present euill world according to the will of God euen our Father, (aiōn g165)
To whom be glory for euer and euer, Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Nashangaa kwamba mnamwacha upesi hivyo yeye aliyewaita kwa neema ya Kristo na kuifuata Injili nyingine,
I marueile that ye are so soone remoued away vnto another Gospel, from him that had called you in the grace of Christ,
7 ambayo kwa kweli si Injili kamwe, ila kwa dhahiri kuna watu wanaowachanganya na wanaotaka kuipotosha Injili ya Kristo.
Which is not another Gospel, saue that there be some which trouble you, and intend to peruert the Gospel of Christ.
8 Lakini hata ikiwa sisi au malaika atokaye mbinguni akihubiri Injili nyingine tofauti na ile tuliyowahubiria sisi, basi mtu huyo alaaniwe milele!
But though that we, or an Angel from heauen preach vnto you otherwise, then that which we haue preached vnto you, let him be accursed.
9 Kama vile tulivyokwisha kusema kabla, sasa nasema tena, ikiwa mtu yeyote atawahubiria Injili kinyume na ile mliyoipokea na alaaniwe milele!
As we sayd before, so say I now againe, If any man preach vnto you otherwise, then that ye haue receiued, let him be accursed.
10 Je, sasa mimi ninatafuta kukubaliwa na wanadamu au kukubaliwa na Mungu? Au nataka kuwapendeza wanadamu? Kama ningekuwa bado najaribu kuwapendeza wanadamu, nisingekuwa mtumishi wa Kristo.
For nowe preach I mans doctrine, or Gods? or go I about to please men? for if I should yet please men, I were not the seruant of Christ.
11 Ndugu zangu, nataka mjue kwamba Injili niliyowahubiria haikutokana na wanadamu.
Now I certifie you, brethren, that ye Gospel which was preached of me, was not after man.
12 Kwa maana mimi sikuipokea hiyo Injili kutoka kwa mwanadamu, wala sikufundishwa na mtu, bali niliipata kwa ufunuo kutoka kwa Yesu Kristo.
For neither receiued I it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the reuelation of Iesus Christ.
13 Ninyi mmekwisha kusikia juu ya maisha yangu ya zamani nilipokuwa katika dini ya Kiyahudi, jinsi nilivyolitesa kanisa la Mungu kwa nguvu na kujaribu kuliangamiza.
For ye haue heard of my conuersation in time past, in the Iewish religion, how that I persecuted the Church of God extremely, and wasted it,
14 Nami niliendelea sana katika dini ya Kiyahudi kuliko Wayahudi wengi wa rika yangu maana nilijitahidi sana katika desturi za baba zangu.
And profited in the Iewish religion aboue many of my companions of mine owne nation, and was much more zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 Lakini ilipompendeza Mungu, aliyenitenga tangu tumboni mwa mama yangu na kuniita kwa neema yake,
But when it pleased God (which had separated me from my mothers wombe, and called me by his grace)
16 alimdhihirisha Mwanawe kwangu, ili nipate kumhubiri miongoni mwa watu wa Mataifa. Mimi sikushauriana na mwanadamu yeyote,
To reueile his Sonne in me, that I should preach him among the Gentiles, immediatly I communicated not with flesh and blood:
17 wala sikupanda kwenda Yerusalemu kuwaona hao waliokuwa mitume kabla yangu, bali nilikwenda mara moja Arabuni na kisha nikarudi Dameski.
Neither came I againe to Hierusalem to them which were Apostles before me, but I went into Arabia, and turned againe vnto Damascus.
18 Kisha baada ya miaka mitatu nilipanda kwenda Yerusalemu kuonana na Kefa na nilikaa naye siku kumi na tano.
Then after three yeeres I came againe to Hierusalem to visite Peter, and abode with him fifteene dayes.
19 Lakini sikumwona mtume mwingine yeyote isipokuwa Yakobo, ndugu yake Bwana.
And none other of the Apostles sawe I, saue Iames the Lords brother.
20 Nawahakikishia mbele za Mungu kuwa ninayowaandikia si uongo.
Nowe the things which I write vnto you, beholde, I witnes before God, that I lie not.
21 Baadaye nilikwenda sehemu za Syria na Kilikia.
After that, I went into the coastes of Syria and Cilicia:
22 Lakini mimi binafsi sikujulikana kwa makanisa ya huko Uyahudi yaliyo katika Kristo.
for I was vnknowen by face vnto the Churches of Iudea, which were in Christ.
23 Wao walisikia habari tu kwamba, “Mtu yule ambaye hapo kwanza alikuwa akitutesa sasa anahubiri imani ile ile aliyokuwa akijaribu kuiangamiza.”
But they had heard onely some say, Hee which persecuted vs in time past, nowe preacheth the faith which before he destroyed.
24 Nao wakamtukuza Mungu kwa sababu yangu.
And they glorified God for me.
