Ezekieli 13
1 Neno la Bwana likanijia kusema:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 “Mwanadamu, tabiri dhidi ya manabii wa Israeli wanaotabiri sasa. Waambie hao ambao hutabiri kutokana na mawazo yao wenyewe: ‘Sikia neno la Bwana!
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say to them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of Jehovah!
3 Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Ole wao manabii wapumbavu wafuatao roho yao wenyewe na wala hawajaona chochote!
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4 Manabii wako, ee Israeli, ni kama mbweha katikati ya magofu.
Thy prophets, O Israel, are like the foxes in the deserts.
5 Hamjakwea kwenda kuziba mahali palipobomoka katika ukuta ili kuukarabati kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Israeli, ili kwamba isimame imara kwenye vita katika siku ya Bwana.
Ye have not gone up into the breaches, nor built a wall around the house of Israel, to stand in battle in the day of Jehovah.
6 Maono yao ni ya uongo na ubashiri wao ni wa udanganyifu. Wao husema, “Bwana amesema,” wakati Bwana hakuwatuma, bado wakitarajia maneno yao kutimizwa.
They see falsehood, and lying divination. They say, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when Jehovah hath not sent them; and they cause men to hope for the fulfilment of the word.
7 Je, hamjaona maono ya uongo na kusema ubashiri wa udanganyifu hapo msemapo, “Bwana asema,” lakini Mimi sijasema?
Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, and said, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when I have not spoken?
8 “‘Kwa hiyo hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Kwa sababu ya uongo wa maneno yenu na kwa madanganyo ya maono yenu, Mimi ni kinyume na ninyi, asema Bwana Mwenyezi.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood and have seen a lie, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
9 Mkono wangu utakuwa dhidi ya manabii ambao huona maono ya uongo na kusema ubashiri wa udanganyifu. Hawatakuwa katika baraza la watu wangu au kuandikwa katika kumbukumbu ya nyumba ya Israeli wala hawataingia katika nchi ya Israeli. Ndipo mtajua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana Mwenyezi.
My hand shall be against the prophets that see falsehood and divine lies. They shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
10 “‘Kwa sababu ni kweli wanapotosha watu wangu, wakisema, “Amani,” wakati ambapo hakuna amani, pia kwa sababu, wakati ukuta dhaifu unapojengwa, wanaufunika kwa kupaka chokaa,
Because, yea, because they seduce my people, and say, “Peace!” when there is no peace; and one buildeth up a wall, and, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar;
11 kwa hiyo waambie hao wanaoupaka chokaa isiyokorogwa vyema kwamba ukuta huo utaanguka. Mvua kubwa ya mafuriko itanyesha, nami nitaleta mvua ya mawe inyeshe kwa nguvu, nao upepo wa dhoruba utavuma juu yake.
say to them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower, and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Wakati ukuta utakapoanguka, je, watu hawatawauliza, “Iko wapi chokaa mliyopaka ukuta?”
So when the wall is fallen, shall not men say to you, “Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?”
13 “‘Kwa hiyo hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Katika ghadhabu yangu nitauachia upepo wa dhoruba, pia katika hasira yangu mvua ya mawe na mvua ya mafuriko itanyesha ikiwa na ghadhabu ya kuangamiza.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury, and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14 Nitaubomoa ukuta mlioupaka chokaa na kuuangusha chini ili msingi wake uachwe wazi. Utakapoanguka, mtaangamizwa ndani yake, nanyi mtajua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.
Thus I will break down the wall which ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and will bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered; it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.
15 Hivyo ndivyo nitakavyoitimiza ghadhabu yangu dhidi ya huo ukuta na dhidi yao walioupaka chokaa. Nitawaambia ninyi, “Ukuta umebomoka na vivyo hivyo wale walioupaka chokaa,
Thus will I accomplish my fury upon the wall, and upon them that daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor they that daubed it;
16 wale manabii wa Israeli waliotabiri juu ya Yerusalemu na kuona maono ya amani kwa ajili yake wakati kulipokuwa hakuna amani, asema Bwana Mwenyezi.”’
even the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and see visions of peace for her when there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.
17 “Sasa, mwanadamu, kaza uso wako dhidi ya binti za watu wako wanaotabiri mambo kutoka mawazo yao wenyewe. Tabiri dhidi yao
Likewise, son of man, set thou thy face against the daughters of thy people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them.
18 na useme, ‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Ole wao wanawake washonao hirizi za uchawi juu ya viwiko vyao vyote na kutengeneza shela za urefu wa aina mbalimbali kwa ajili ya kufunika vichwa vyao kwa makusudi ya kuwanasa watu. Je, mtatega uhai wa watu wangu lakini ninyi mponye wa kwenu?
And say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew cushions for all elbows, and make pillows for heads of every stature, to ensnare men to destruction! Will ye hunt the lives of my people, and shall ye save your own?
19 Ninyi mmeninajisi miongoni mwa watu wangu kwa ajili ya konzi chache za shayiri na chembe za mkate. Kwa kuwaambia uongo watu wangu, wale ambao husikiliza uongo, mmewaua wale watu ambao wasingekufa na kuwaacha hai wale ambao wasingeishi.
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley, and for pieces of bread, slaying them that should not die, and saving them alive that should not live, by lying to my people, who hearken to your lies?
20 “‘Kwa hiyo hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Mimi niko kinyume na hizo hirizi zenu za uchawi ambazo kwa hizo mnawatega watu kama ndege, nami nitazirarua kutoka mikononi mwenu, nitawaweka huru watu wale mliowatega kama ndege.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will set myself against the cushions with which ye ensnare men to destruction, so that they shall escape you; and I will tear them from your arms, and make them free whom ye would ensnare, so that they shall escape you.
21 Nitazirarua shela zenu na kuwaokoa watu wangu kutoka mikononi mwenu, nao hawatakuwa tena mawindo ya nguvu zenu. Ndipo mtakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.
Your pillows also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall no more be in your hand to be ensnared, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
22 Kwa sababu mliwavunja moyo wenye haki kwa uongo wenu, wakati mimi sikuwaletea huzuni na kwa kuwa mliwatia moyo waovu ili wasiziache njia zao mbaya na hivyo kuokoa maisha yao,
Because with lies ye have made sad the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad, and have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;
23 kwa hiyo hamtaona tena maono ya uongo wala kufanya ubashiri. Nitawaokoa watu wangu kutoka mikononi mwenu. Nanyi ndipo mtakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.’”
therefore shall ye no more see falsehood, nor divine divinations; but I will deliver my people out of your hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
