Matendo 20
1 Baada ya zile ghasia kumalizika, Paulo aliwaita wanafunzi pamoja akawatia moyo, akawaaga, akaanza safari kwenda Makedonia.
After the rage was ceased Paul called the disciples vnto him and toke his leave of them and departed for to goo into Macedonia.
2 Alipita katika sehemu zile, akinena na watu maneno mengi ya kuwatia moyo. Ndipo hatimaye akawasili Uyunani,
And when he had gone over those parties and geven them large exhortacions he came into Grece
3 ambako alikaa kwa muda wa miezi mitatu. Alipokuwa anakaribia kuanza safari kwa njia ya bahari kwenda Shamu, kwa sababu Wayahudi walikuwa wamefanya shauri baya dhidi yake, aliamua kurudi kupitia njia ya Makedonia.
and there abode. iii. monethes. And when the Iewes layde wayte for him as he was about to sayle into Syria he purposed to returne thorowe Macedonia.
4 Paulo alikuwa amefuatana na Sopatro mwana wa Piro, Mberoya, Aristarko na Sekundo kutoka Thesalonike na Gayo, mtu wa Derbe, Timotheo pamoja na Tikiko na Trofimo kutoka sehemu ya Asia.
Ther acompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berrea and of Thessalonia Aristarcus and Secundus and Gayus of Derba and Timotheus: and out of Asia Tychicus and Trophimos.
5 Hawa watu walitutangulia wakaenda kutungojea Troa.
These went before and taryed vs at Troas.
6 Lakini sisi tukasafiri kwa njia ya bahari kwa siku tano kutoka Filipi baada ya siku za Sikukuu ya Mikate Isiyotiwa Chachu, nasi tukaungana na wengine huko Troa, ambako tulikaa kwa siku saba.
And we sayled awaye fro Philippos after the ester holydayes and came vnto them to Troas in five dayes where we abode seven dayes.
7 Siku ya kwanza ya juma tulikutana pamoja kwa ajili ya kumega mkate. Paulo akaongea na watu, naye kwa kuwa alikuwa amekusudia kuondoka kesho yake, aliendelea kuongea mpaka usiku wa manane.
And on the morowe after the saboth daye the disciples came to geder for to breake breed and Paul preached vnto them (redy to departe on the morowe) and cotinued the preachynge vnto mydnyght.
8 Kwenye chumba cha ghorofani walimokuwa wamekutania kulikuwa na taa nyingi.
And there were many lyghtes in the chamber where thy were gaddered to geder
9 Kijana mmoja jina lake Eutiko, alikuwa amekaa dirishani, wakati Paulo alipokuwa akihubiri kwa muda mrefu, alipatwa na usingizi mzito, akaanguka kutoka ghorofa ya tatu, wakamwinua akiwa amekufa.
and there sate in a wyndowe a certayne yonge man named Eutichos fallen into a depe slepe. And as Paul declared he was the moare overcome with slepe and fell doune from the thyrde lofte and was taken vp deed.
10 Paulo akashuka chini, akajitupa juu yake na kumkumbatia, akasema, “Msishtuke, uzima wake bado umo ndani yake.”
Paul went doune and fell on him and embrased him and sayde: make nothinge ado for his lyfe is in him.
11 Kisha Paulo akapanda tena ghorofani, akamega mkate na kula. Baada ya kuongea mpaka mapambazuko, akaondoka.
When he was come vp agayne he brake breed and tasted and comened a longe whyle even tyll the mornynge and so departed.
12 Watu wakamrudisha yule kijana nyumbani akiwa hai nao wakafarijika sana.
And they brought the youge man a lyve and were not alytell comforted.
13 Tukatangulia melini tukasafiri mpaka Aso ambako tungempakia Paulo. Alikuwa amepanga hivyo kwa maana alitaka kufika kwa miguu.
And we went a fore to shippe and lowsed vnto Asson there to receave Paul. For so had he apoynted and wolde him selfe goo a fote.
14 Alipotukuta huko Aso, tulimpakia melini, tukasafiri wote mpaka Mitilene.
When he was come to vs vnto Asson we toke him in and came to Mytelenes.
15 Kutoka huko tuliendelea kwa njia ya bahari, na kesho yake tukafika mahali panapokabili Kio. Siku iliyofuata tukavuka kwenda Samo, na kesho yake tukawasili Mileto.
And we sayled thence and came the nexte daye over agaynst Chios. And the nexte daye we aryved at Samos and taryed at Trogilion. The nexte daye we came to Myleton:
16 Paulo alikuwa ameamua tusipitie Efeso ili asitumie muda mwingi huko sehemu za Asia, kwa sababu alikuwa anatamani kama ikiwezekana kufika Yerusalemu kabla ya siku ya Pentekoste.
for Paul had determined to leave Ephesus as they sayled because he wolde not spende ye tyme in Asia. For he hasted to be (yf he coulde possible) at Ierusalem at the daye of pentecoste.
17 Paulo akiwa Mileto, alituma mjumbe kwenda Efeso kuwaita wazee wa kanisa waje wakutane naye.
Wherfore from Myleton he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the cogregacion.
18 Walipofika akawaambia, “Ninyi wenyewe mnajua jinsi nilivyoishi katikati yenu muda wote tangu siku ya kwanza nilipokanyaga hapa Asia.
And when they were come to him he sayde vnto the: Ye knowe fro the fyrst daye yt I came vnto Asia after what maner I have bene wt you at all ceasons
19 Nilimtumikia Bwana kwa unyenyekevu wote na kwa machozi nikivumilia taabu na mapingamizi yaliyonipata kutokana na hila za Wayahudi.
servynge the lorde with all humblenes of mynde and with many teares and temptacions which happened vnto me by the layinges awayte of the Ieues
20 Mnajua kwamba sikusita kuhubiri jambo lolote ambalo lingekuwa la kuwafaa ninyi, lakini nilifundisha hadharani na nyumba kwa nyumba.
and how I kept backe no thinge that was profitable: but that I have shewed you and taught you openly and at home in youre houses
21 Nimewashuhudia Wayahudi na Wayunani kwamba inawapasa kumgeukia Mungu kwa kutubu dhambi na kumwamini Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo.
witnessinge bothe to the Iewes and also to the Grekes the repentaunce toward God and faith towarde oure Lorde Iesu.
22 “Nami sasa nimesukumwa na Roho, ninakwenda Yerusalemu wala sijui ni nini kitakachonipata huko.
And now beholde I goo bounde in the sprete vnto Ierusalem and knowe not what shall come on me there
23 Ila ninachojua tu ni kwamba Roho Mtakatifu amenionya kuwa vifungo na mateso vinaningoja.
but that the holy goost witnesseth in every cite sayinge: yt bondes and trouble abyde me.
24 Lakini siyahesabu maisha yangu kuwa ya thamani kwangu, kama kuyamaliza mashindano na kukamilisha ile kazi Bwana Yesu aliyonipa, yaani, kazi ya kuishuhudia Injili ya neema ya Mungu.
But none of tho thinges move me: nether is my lyfe dere vnto my selfe that I myght fulfill my course wt ioye and the ministracio which I have receaved of ye Lorde Iesu to testify the gospell of ye grace of god.
25 “Nami sasa najua ya kuwa hakuna hata mmoja miongoni mwenu ambaye nimemhubiria Ufalme wa Mungu katika kwenda kwangu huku na huko, atakayeniona uso tena.
And now beholde I am sure yt hence forth ye all (thorow who I have gone preachinge ye kyngdome of God) shall se my face no moore.
26 Kwa hiyo nawatangazia leo, sina hatia ya damu ya mtu awaye yote.
Wherfore I take you to recorde this same daye that I am pure fro the bloude of all me.
27 Kwa kuwa sikusita kuwatangazia mapenzi yote ya Mungu.
For I have kepte nothinge backe: but have shewed you all the counsell of God.
28 Jilindeni nafsi zenu na mlilinde lile kundi lote ambalo Roho Mtakatifu amewaweka ninyi kuwa waangalizi wake. Lichungeni kanisa lake Mungu alilolinunua kwa damu yake mwenyewe.
Take hede therfore vnto youre selves and to all the flocke wherof the holy goost hath made you oversears to rule the congregacion of God which he hath purchased with his bloud.
29 Najua kwamba baada yangu kuondoka, mbwa mwitu wakali watakuja katikati yenu ambao hawatalihurumia kundi.
For I am sure of this that after my departynge shall greveous wolves entre in amonge you which will not spare the flocke.
30 Hata kutoka miongoni mwenu watainuka watu na kuupotosha ukweli ili wawavute wanafunzi wawafuate.
Moreover of youre awne selves shall men aryse speakinge perverse thinges to drawe disciples after the.
31 Hivyo jilindeni! Kumbukeni kwamba kwa miaka mitatu sikuacha kamwe kuwaonya kila mmoja kwa machozi usiku na mchana.
Therfore awake and remember that by the space of. iii. yeares I ceased not to warne every one of you both nyght and daye with teares.
32 “Sasa nawakabidhi kwa Mungu na kwa neno la neema yake, linaloweza kuwajenga na kuwapa ninyi urithi miongoni mwa wote ambao wametakaswa.
And now brethren I comende you to God and to the worde of his grace which is able to bylde further and to geve you an inheritaunce amoge all them which are sanctified.
33 Sikutamani fedha wala dhahabu wala vazi la mtu yeyote.
I have desyred no mas silver golde or vesture.
34 Ninyi wenyewe mnajua kwamba mikono yangu hii imetumika kwa mahitaji yangu na ya wale waliokuwa pamoja nami.
Ye knowe well yt these hondes have ministred vnto my necessities and to them that were wt me.
35 Katika kila jambo nimewaonyesha kwamba kwa njia hii ya kufanya kazi kwa bidii imetupasa kuwasaidia wadhaifu, mkikumbuka maneno ya Bwana Yesu mwenyewe jinsi alivyosema, ‘Ni heri kutoa kuliko kupokea.’”
I have shewed you all thinges how that so laborynge ye ought to receave the weake and to remember the wordes of the Lorde Iesu howe that he sayde: It is more blessed to geve then to receave.
36 Paulo alipomaliza kusema haya akapiga magoti pamoja nao wote akaomba.
When he had thus spoken he kneled doune and prayed with them all.
37 Wote wakalia, wakamkumbatia Paulo na kumbusu,
And they wept all aboundantly and fell on Pauls necke and kissed him
38 Kilichowahuzunisha zaidi ni kwa sababu ya yale maneno aliyosema kwamba kamwe hawatauona uso wake tena. Wakaenda naye mpaka kwenye meli.
sorowinge most of all for the wordes which he spake that they shuld se his face no moore. And they acompanyed him vnto the shyppe.
