2 Timotheo 2
1 Basi, wewe mwanangu, uwe hodari katika neema iliyo ndani ya Kristo Yesu.
You yourself therefore, child of mine, do be strong in the grace that [is] in Christ Jesus,
2 Nayo mambo yale uliyonisikia nikiyasema mbele ya mashahidi wengi, uwakabidhi watu waaminifu watakaoweza kuwafundisha watu wengine vilevile.
And [the things] which you have heard from me among many witnesses, these do yourself entrust to faithful men, such as sufficient will be also others to teach.
3 Vumilia taabu pamoja nasi kama askari mwema wa Kristo Yesu.
(you yourself *k*) (therefore *K*) (do share in suffering *N(k)O*) as [a] good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 Hakuna askari yeyote ambaye akiwa vitani hujishughulisha na mambo ya kawaida ya maisha haya kwa sababu nia yake ni kumpendeza yule aliyemwandika awe askari.
No [one] serving as a soldier entangles himself in the of this life affairs, so that the [one] having enlisted him he may please.
5 Vivyo hivyo, yeye ashindanaye katika michezo hawezi kupewa tuzo ya ushindi asiposhindana kulingana na kanuni za mashindano.
If now also shall compete anyone, not he is crowned only unless lawfully he shall compete.
6 Mkulima mwenye bidii ya kazi ndiye anayestahili kuwa wa kwanza kupata fungu la mavuno.
For the hardworking farmer it is necessary first of the fruits to partake;
7 Fikiri sana kuhusu haya nisemayo, kwa maana Bwana atakupa ufahamu katika mambo hayo yote.
do consider ([the] thing *N(k)O*) I am saying; (will grant *N(k)O*) for you the Lord understanding in all things.
8 Mkumbuke Yesu Kristo, aliyefufuliwa kutoka kwa wafu, yeye aliye wa uzao wa Daudi. Hii ndiyo Injili yangu,
do remember Jesus Christ raised out from [the] dead from [the] seed of David according to gospel of mine;
9 ambayo kwayo ninateseka hata kufikia hatua ya kufungwa minyororo kama mhalifu. Lakini neno la Mungu halifungwi.
in which I suffer hardship even to chains as an evildoer, But the word of God not has been bound!
10 Kwa hiyo ninavumilia mambo yote kwa ajili ya wateule wa Mungu, kusudi wao nao wapate wokovu ulio katika Kristo Yesu, pamoja na utukufu wa milele. (aiōnios g166)
Because of this all things I endure for the sake of the elect, so that also they themselves [the] salvation may obtain that [is] in Christ Jesus with glory eternal. (aiōnios g166)
11 Hili ni neno la kuaminiwa: Kwa maana kama tumekufa pamoja naye, tutaishi pia pamoja naye.
Trustworthy [is] the saying: If for we have died with [Him], also we will live with [Him];
12 Kama tukistahimili, pia tutatawala pamoja naye. Kama tukimkana yeye, naye atatukana sisi.
if we endure, also we will reign with [Him]; if (we will deny [Him], *N(k)O*) He also He also will deny us;
13 Kama tusipoamini, yeye hudumu kuwa mwaminifu, kwa maana hawezi kujikana mwenyewe.
if we are faithless, He faithful remains; to deny (for *no*) Himself not He is able.
14 Endelea kuwakumbusha mambo haya ukiwaonya mbele za Bwana waache kushindana kwa maneno ambayo hayana faida yoyote bali huwaangamiza tu wale wanaoyasikia.
These things do remind [them] solemnly charging [them] before (God *N(K)O*) not to quarrel about words (upon *N(k)O*) no [thing] profitable [but] to [the] subversion of those hearing.
15 Jitahidi kujionyesha kwa Mungu kuwa umekubaliwa naye, mtendakazi asiye na sababu ya kuona aibu, ukilitumia kwa usahihi neno la kweli.
do hasten yourself approved to present to God a workman not ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
16 Jiepushe na maneno mabaya, yasiyo na maana, yasiyo ya utauwa, kwa maana hayo huzidi kuwatosa watu katika kukosa heshima kwa Mungu.
But worldly empty babblings do yourself avoid; on to more for they will lead to ungodliness,
17 Mafundisho yao yataenea kama kidonda kisichopona. Miongoni mwao wamo Himenayo na Fileto
and the talk of them like gangrene pasture to grow will have; among whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 ambao wameiacha kweli, wakisema kwamba ufufuo wa wafu umekwisha kuwako, nao huharibu imani ya baadhi ya watu.
who concerning the truth went astray asserting the resurrection already to have taken place, and they are overthrowing the of some faith.
19 Lakini msingi wa Mungu ulio imara umesimama, ukiwa na muhuri wenye maandishi haya: “Bwana anawajua walio wake”; tena, “Kila alitajaye jina la Bwana, na auache uovu.”
Nevertheless the firm foundation of God has stood having seal this: Knows [the] Lord those being His, and should depart from iniquity everyone who is naming the name (of the Lord. *N(K)O*)
20 Katika nyumba kubwa si kwamba kuna vyombo vya dhahabu na fedha tu, bali pia vimo vyombo vya miti na vya udongo; vingine kwa matumizi maalum, na vingine kwa matumizi ya kawaida.
In a great now house not there are only vessels golden and silver but also wooden and earthen, and some indeed unto honor some however unto dishonor.
21 Basi ikiwa mtu amejitakasa na kujitenga na hayo niliyoyataja, atakuwa chombo maalum, kilichotengwa na ambacho kinamfaa mwenye nyumba, kimeandaliwa tayari kwa kila kazi njema.
If therefore anyone shall cleanse himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor sanctified (and *k*) useful to the Master, for every work good prepared.
22 Zikimbie tamaa mbaya za ujana, ufuate haki, imani, upendo na amani pamoja na wale wamwitao Bwana kwa moyo safi.
And youthful lusts do flee, do pursue now righteousness, faith, love, [and] peace along with those calling on the Lord out of pure a heart.
23 Jiepushe na mabishano ya kipumbavu na yasiyo na maana, kwa kuwa wajua ya kwamba hayo huzaa magomvi.
And foolish and ignorant speculations do refuse knowing that they breed quarrels;
24 Tena haimpasi mtumishi wa Bwana kuwa mgomvi, bali inampasa awe mwema kwa kila mtu, awezaye kufundisha, tena mvumilivu.
[The] bond-servant now of [the] Lord not it behooves to quarrel but gentle to be toward all, able to teach, forbearing,
25 Inampasa kuwaonya kwa upole wale wanaopingana naye, kwa matumaini kwamba Mungu atawajalia kutubu na kuijua kweli,
in gentleness disciplining those opposing, otherwise otherwise (he may give *NK(o)*) to them God repentance unto a knowledge of [the] truth,
26 ili fahamu zao ziwarudie tena, nao waponyoke katika mtego wa ibilisi ambaye amewateka wapate kufanya mapenzi yake.
and they may recover out of the of the devil snare captured by him for his will.
