2 Wafalme 11
1 Wakati Athalia mamaye Ahazia alipoona kuwa mwanawe amekufa, akainuka na kuiangamiza jamaa yote ya mfalme.
And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah (she saw *Q(K)*) that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty.
2 Lakini Yehosheba, binti wa Mfalme Yehoramu, aliyekuwa pia dada yake Ahazia, akamtwaa Yoashi mwana wa Ahazia kwa siri kutoka miongoni mwa wana wa mfalme waliokuwa karibu kuuawa. Akamweka Yoashi pamoja na yaya wake ndani ya chumba cha kulala na kumficha humo ili Athalia asimwone; kwa hiyo hakuuawa.
And she took Jehosheba [the] daughter of the king Joram [the] sister of Ahaziah Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king (who were about to be put to death *Q(K)*) him and suckling-nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and they hid him from before Athaliah and not he was put to death.
3 Alibaki amefichwa pamoja na yaya wake katika Hekalu la Bwana kwa muda wa miaka sita wakati Athalia alikuwa akitawala nchi.
And he was with her [the] house of Yahweh hiding himself six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
4 Katika mwaka wa saba, Yehoyada akatumania wakuu wa vikundi vya mamia, na Wakari, na walinzi, nao wakaletwa kwake katika Hekalu la Bwana. Alifanya agano nao na kuwaapisha katika Hekalu la Bwana. Ndipo akawaonyesha mwana wa mfalme.
And in the year seventh he sent Jehoiada and he took - [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Q(k)*) of the Carian[s] and of the runners and he brought them to himself [the] house of Yahweh and he made to them a covenant and he made to swear an oath with them in [the] house of Yahweh and he showed them [the] son of the king.
5 Akawaamuru akisema, “Hivi ndivyo iwapasavyo kufanya: Ninyi ambao mko makundi matatu mnaoingia zamu siku ya Sabato, theluthi yenu inayolinda jumba la kifalme,
And he commanded them saying this [is] the thing which you will do! the third [part] of you [who] come the sabbath and [who] keep [the] watch of [the] house of the king.
6 theluthi nyingine Lango la Suri, na theluthi nyingine lango lililo nyuma ya walinzi, ambao hupeana zamu kulinda Hekalu,
And the third [part] [will be] at [the] gate of Sur and the third [part] [will be] at the gate behind the runners and you will keep [the] watch of the house by turns.
7 nanyi ambao mko katika makundi mengine mawili ambao kwa kawaida hupumzika Sabato, wote mtalinda Hekalu kwa ajili ya mfalme.
And [the] two the hands in you all [those who] go out the sabbath and they will keep [the] watch of [the] house of Yahweh to the king.
8 Jipangeni kumzunguka mfalme, kila mtu akiwa na silaha yake mkononi. Yeyote anayesogelea safu zenu lazima auawe. Kaeni karibu na mfalme popote aendapo.”
And you will surround the king all around everyone and weapons his in hand his and the [one who] comes into the ranks he will be put to death and be with the king when goes out he and when comes he.
9 Wakuu wa vikosi vya mamia wakafanya kama vile kuhani Yehoyada aliagiza. Kila mmoja akawachukua watu wake, wale waliokuwa wakiingia zamu siku ya Sabato na wale waliokuwa wakienda mapumziko, nao wakaja kwa kuhani Yehoyada.
And they did [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Q(k)*) according to all that he commanded Jehoiada the priest and they took each men his [those who] came the sabbath with [those who] went out the sabbath and they came to Jehoiada the priest.
10 Ndipo akawapa wale wakuu mikuki na ngao zilizokuwa za Mfalme Daudi, zilizokuwa ndani ya Hekalu la Bwana.
And he gave the priest to [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Q(k)*) the spear and the shields which [had belonged] to the king David which [were] in [the] house of Yahweh.
11 Wale walinzi, kila mmoja akiwa na silaha yake mkononi mwake, wakajipanga kumzunguka mfalme, karibu na madhabahu na Hekalu, kuanzia upande wa kusini hadi upande wa kaskazini mwa Hekalu.
And they stood the runners everyone - and weapons his in hand his from [the] side of the house south to [the] side of the house north to the altar and to the house at the king all around.
12 Yehoyada akamtoa mwana wa mfalme na kumvika taji, akampa nakala ya agano, na kumtangaza kuwa mfalme. Wakamtia mafuta, nao watu wakapiga makofi na kupaza sauti, wakisema, “Mfalme aishi maisha marefu!”
And he brought out [the] son of the king and he put on him the crown and the testimony and they made king him and they anointed him and they struck a palm and they said may he live the king.
13 Athalia aliposikia kelele iliyofanywa na walinzi pamoja na watu, akawaendea watu pale penye Hekalu la Bwana.
And she heard Athaliah [the] sound of the runners the people and she went to the people [the] house of Yahweh.
14 Akaangalia, na tazama alikuwako mfalme, akiwa amesimama karibu na nguzo, kama ilivyokuwa desturi. Maafisa na wapiga tarumbeta walikuwa pembeni mwa mfalme, nao watu wote wa nchi walikuwa wakifurahi na kupiga tarumbeta. Ndipo Athalia akararua mavazi yake na kulia, “Uhaini! Uhaini!”
And she saw and there! the king [was] standing at the pillar according to the custom and the commanders and the trumpets [were] with the king and all [the] people of the land [was] joyful and [was] giving a blast on trumpets and she tore Athaliah clothes her and she called out treason treason.
15 Kuhani Yehoyada akawaagiza majemadari wa vikosi vya mamia, waliokuwa viongozi wa jeshi, “Mleteni nje kati ya safu, na mkamuue kwa upanga yeyote anayemfuata.” Kwa kuwa kuhani alikuwa amesema, “Hatauawa ndani ya Hekalu la Bwana.”
And he commanded Jehoiada the priest [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Q(k)*) [the] officers of the army and he said to them bring out her to from between to the ranks and the [one who] comes behind her put to death with the sword for he had said the priest may not she be put to death [the] house of Yahweh.
16 Basi wakamkamata Athalia, na alipofika mahali ambapo farasi huingilia katika viwanja vya jumba la mfalme, wakamuulia hapo.
And they put to her hands and she went [the] way of [the] entrance of the horses [the] house of the king and she was put to death there.
17 Kisha Yehoyada akafanya agano kati ya Bwana na mfalme na watu kwamba watakuwa watu wa Bwana. Akafanya pia agano kati ya mfalme na watu.
And he made Jehoiada the covenant between Yahweh and between the king and between the people to become a people of Yahweh and between the king and between the people.
18 Watu wote wa nchi wakaenda kwenye hekalu la Baali na kulibomoa. Wakavunjavunja madhabahu na sanamu, na kumuua Matani kuhani wa Baali mbele ya hayo madhabahu. Kisha Yehoyada kuhani akawaweka walinzi kwenye Hekalu la Bwana.
And they went all [the] people of the land [the] house of Baal and they pulled down it (altars its *Q(K)*) and images its they broke thoroughly and Mattan [the] priest of Baal they killed before the altars and he appointed the priest overseers over [the] house of Yahweh.
19 Pamoja naye akawachukua majemadari wa mamia, Wakari, walinzi na watu wote wa nchi, nao kwa pamoja wakamteremsha mfalme kutoka Hekalu la Bwana na kwenda kwenye jumba la mfalme, wakiingilia njia ya lango la walinzi. Ndipo mfalme akachukua nafasi yake kwenye kiti cha enzi,
And he took [the] commanders of the hundreds and the Carian[s] and the runners and - all [the] people of the land and they took down the king from [the] house of Yahweh and they came [the] way of [the] gate of the runners [the] house of the king and he sat on [the] throne of the kings.
20 nao watu wote wa nchi wakafurahi. Mji ukatulia, kwa sababu Athalia alikuwa ameuawa kwa upanga nyumbani kwa mfalme.
And it rejoiced all [the] people of the land and the city it was at peace and Athaliah they had put to death with the sword [the] house of (the king. *Q(K)*)
21 Yoashi alikuwa na umri wa miaka saba alipoanza kutawala.
[was] a son of Seven years Jehoash when became king he.
