1 Yothamu alikuwa na umri wa miaka ishirini na mitano alipoanza kutawala, naye akatawala huko Yerusalemu miaka kumi na sita. Mama yake aliitwa Yerusha binti Sadoki.
Jotham was twenty-five when he became king, and he reigned in for Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother's name was Jerushah, daughter of Zadok.

Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the Lord's Temple, and did extensive building work on the wall at Ophel.

He built towns in the hill country of Judah, and fortresses and towers in the mountains and forests.
5 Yothamu akafanya vita na mfalme wa Waamoni na kumshinda. Mwaka ule Waamoni wakamlipa talanta 100 za fedha, kori 10,000 za ngano na kori 10,000 za shayiri. Waamoni wakamletea kiasi hicho hicho mwaka wa pili na wa tatu.
Jotham fought with the king of the Ammonites and defeated them. The Ammonites gave him every year for three years one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cors of wheat and ten thousand of barley.

9 Yothamu akalala na baba zake na akazikwa katika Mji wa Daudi. Naye Ahazi mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.
Jotham died and was buried in the City of David. His son Ahaz took over as king.
