1 Wafalme 6
1 Katika mwaka wa 480 baada ya Waisraeli kutoka nchi ya Misri, katika mwaka wa nne wa utawala wa Solomoni katika Israeli, katika mwezi wa Zivu, ambao ndio mwezi wa pili, alianza kujenga Hekalu la Bwana.
And in the foure hundreth and foure score yeere (after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt) and in the fourth yere of the reigne of Salomon ouer Israel, in the moneth Zif, (which is the second moneth) he built the house of the Lord.
2 Hekalu hilo Mfalme Solomoni alilojenga kwa ajili ya Bwana lilikuwa na urefu wa dhiraa sitini, upana wa dhiraa ishirini na kimo cha dhiraa thelathini kwenda juu.
And the house which King Salomon built for the Lord, was three score cubites long, and twentie broade, and thirtie cubites hie.
3 Baraza ya mbele ya Hekalu ilienea dhiraa ishirini kulingana na upana wa Hekalu na kujitokeza dhiraa kumi mbele ya Hekalu.
And the porch before the Temple of the house was twentie cubites long according to the breadth of the house, and ten cubites broade before the house.
4 Akatengeneza madirisha membamba yenye vidirisha vidogo vya juu katika Hekalu.
And in the house he made windowes, broad without, and narrowe within.
5 Akafanyiza vyumba vya pembeni kulizunguka Hekalu lote vikishikamana na kuta za Hekalu na za Patakatifu pa Patakatifu.
And by the wall of the house hee made galleries round about, euen by the walles of the house round about the Temple and the oracle, and made chambers round about.
6 Ghorofa ya chini kabisa ilikuwa na upana wa dhiraa tano, ya kati ilikuwa dhiraa sita na ya tatu ilikuwa dhiraa saba. Kuzunguka ukuta wa nje wa Hekalu akapunguza ukuta pande zote ili boriti zisishikane kwenye kuta za Hekalu.
The nethermost gallerie was fiue cubites broade, and the middlemost sixe cubites broade, and the third seuen cubites broade: for he made restes round about without the house, that the beames should not be fastened in the walles of the house.
7 Katika kujenga Hekalu, yalitumika tu mawe yaliyochongwa huko machimboni, wala hakuna nyundo, patasi au chombo kingine chochote cha chuma kilichosikika sauti yake katika eneo la ujenzi wa Hekalu wakati lilipokuwa likijengwa.
And when the house was built, it was built of stone perfite, before it was brought, so that there was neither hammer, nor axe, nor any toole of yron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8 Ingilio la ghorofa ya chini kabisa lilikuwa upande wa kusini wa Hekalu, ngazi ilielekea ghorofa ya kati na kutokea hapo ilielekea hadi ghorofa ya tatu.
The doore of the middle chamber was in the right side of the house, and men went vp with winding stayres into the middlemost, and out of the middlemost into the third.
9 Basi Solomoni akajenga Hekalu na kulikamilisha, akiliweka paa za boriti na mbao za mierezi.
So he built the house and finished it, and sieled the house being vawted with sieling of cedar trees.
10 Mfalme Solomoni akajenga vyumba vya pembeni kuzunguka Hekalu lote. Kimo cha kila kimoja kilikuwa dhiraa tano. Navyo vilikuwa vimeunganishwa na Hekalu kwa boriti za mierezi.
And he built the galleries vpon al the wall of the house of fiue cubites height, and they were ioyned to the house with beames of cedar.
11 Neno la Bwana likamjia Solomoni kusema:
And the worde of the Lord came to Salomon, saying,
12 “Kwa habari ya Hekalu hili unalojenga, kama ukifuata amri zangu, ukatunza masharti yangu na kushika maagizo yangu yote na kuyatii, kwa kupitia wewe nitatimiza ahadi niliyomwahidi Daudi baba yako.
Cocerning this house which thou buildest, if thou wilt walke in mine ordinances, and execute my iudgements, and keepe al my commadements, to walke in them, then will I performe vnto thee my promise, which I promised to Dauid thy father.
13 Nami nitakaa miongoni mwa Waisraeli, nami sitawaacha watu wangu Israeli.”
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and wil not forsake my people Israel.
14 Basi Solomoni akajenga Hekalu na kulikamilisha.
So Salomon built the house and finished it,
15 Akazifunika kuta zake za ndani kwa mbao za mierezi, akizipigilia ukutani kuanzia sakafuni mwa Hekalu hadi kwenye dari na kufunika sakafu ya Hekalu kwa mbao za misunobari.
And built the walles of the house within, with boards of cedar tree from the pauement of the house vnto the walles of the sieling, and within he couered them with wood, and couered the floore of the house with planks of firre.
16 Akagawa dhiraa ishirini sehemu ya nyuma ya Hekalu kwa mbao za mierezi kuanzia kwenye sakafu hadi darini ili kufanya sehemu takatifu ya ndani, yaani Patakatifu pa Patakatifu.
And he built twentie cubites in the sides of the house with boards of cedar, from the floore to the walles, and he prepared a place within it for the oracle, euen the most holy place.
17 Ukumbi mkubwa uliokuwa mbele ya chumba hiki ndio ulikuwa na urefu wa dhiraa arobaini.
But the house, that is, the Temple before it, was fourtie cubites long.
18 Hekalu ndani ilikuwa ya mierezi iliyonakshiwa mifano ya maboga na maua yaliyochanua. Kila kitu kilikuwa cha mwerezi, hakuna jiwe ambalo lilionekana.
And the cedar of the house within was carued with knops, and grauen with floures: all was cedar, so that no stone was seene.
19 Ndani ya Hekalu akatengeneza sehemu takatifu ya ndani, kwa ajili ya kuweka Sanduku la Agano la Bwana.
Also he prepared the place of the oracle in the mids of the house within, to set the Arke of the couenant of the Lord there.
20 Sehemu takatifu ya ndani ilikuwa na upana, urefu na kimo cha dhiraa ishirini ndani kwa ndani. Akaifunika ndani kwa dhahabu safi, pia akaifunika madhabahu ya mierezi vivyo hivyo.
And the place of the oracle within was twentie cubites long, and twentie cubites broad, and twentie cubites hie, and hee couered it with pure golde, and couered the altar with cedar.
21 Solomoni akaifunika sehemu ya ndani ya Hekalu kwa dhahabu safi, naye akaitandaza mikufu ya dhahabu kutoka upande moja hadi ule mwingine mbele ya Patakatifu pa Patakatifu, ambako palifunikwa kwa dhahabu.
So Salomon couered the house within with pure golde: and he shut the place of the oracle with chaines of gold, and couered it with golde.
22 Basi akafunika sehemu yote ya ndani kwa dhahabu. Pia akafunika madhabahu yale yaliyokuwa ndani ya Patakatifu pa Patakatifu kwa dhahabu.
And he ouerlayde all the house with gold, vntill all the house was made perfite. also he couered the whole altar, that was before the oracle, with golde.
23 Katika Patakatifu pa Patakatifu akatengeneza makerubi wawili kwa mzeituni, kila moja likiwa na dhiraa kumi kwenda juu.
And within the oracle he made two Cherubims of oliue tree, ten cubites hie.
24 Bawa moja la kerubi wa kwanza lilikuwa na urefu wa dhiraa tano na bawa jingine dhiraa tano, hivyo urefu kutoka ncha ya bawa moja hadi ncha ya bawa jingine ulikuwa dhiraa kumi.
The wing also of the one Cherub was fiue cubites, and the wing of the other Cherub was fiue cubites: from the vttermost part of one of his wings vnto the vttermost part of the other of his wings, were ten cubites.
25 Kerubi wa pili alikuwa na urefu wa dhiraa kumi pia, hivyo makerubi hao wawili walifanana kwa vipimo na kwa umbo.
Also the other Cherub was of ten cubites: both the Cherubims were of one measure and one sise.
26 Kimo cha kila kerubi kilikuwa dhiraa kumi.
For the height of the one Cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other Cherub.
27 Aliwaweka makerubi hao ndani ya Patakatifu pa Patakatifu pa Hekalu, mabawa yake yakiwa yamekunjuliwa. Bawa la kerubi mmoja liligusa ukuta mmoja, wakati bawa la yule mwingine liligusa ukuta mwingine, nayo mabawa yao mengine yaligusana katikati ya chumba.
And he put the Cherubims within the inner house, and the Cherubims stretched out their wings, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other Cherub touched the other wall: and their other wings touched one another in the middes of the house.
28 Akafunika wale makerubi kwa dhahabu.
And he ouerlaied the Cherubims with golde.
29 Juu ya kuta zote zilizozunguka Hekalu, za vyumba vya ndani na vya nje, zilipambwa kwa nakshi zilizokatwa za makerubi, miti ya mitende na maua yaliyochanua.
And he carued all the walles of the house round about with grauen figures of Cherubims and of Palmetrees, and grauen flowres within and without.
30 Pia alifunika sakafu zote za vyumba vya ndani na vya nje vya Hekalu kwa dhahabu.
And the floore of the house hee couered with golde within and without.
31 Kwa ingilio la Patakatifu pa Patakatifu akatengeneza milango ya mbao za mzeituni, zikiwa na miimo na vizingiti vyenye umbo la pembe tano.
And in the entring of the oracle he made two doores of oliue tree: and the vpper post and side postes were fiue square.
32 Juu ya milango miwili ya mbao za mzeituni alinakshi makerubi, miti ya mitende pamoja na maua yaliyochanua na kufunika makerubi na miti ya mitende kwa dhahabu iliyofuliwa.
The two doores also were of oliue tree, and he graued them with grauing of Cherubims and palme trees, and grauen floures, and couered them with golde, and layed thin golde vpon the Cherubims and vpon the palme trees.
33 Kwa njia iyo hiyo akatengeneza miimo yenye pande nne ya miti ya mizeituni, kwa ajili ya ingilio la ukumbi mkubwa.
And so made he for the doore of the Temple, postes of oliue tree foure square.
34 Kulikuwa na milango miwili iliyoweza kukunjuka iliyotengenezwa kwa mbao za msunobari na kila mmoja ulikuwa na bawaba ambazo zingeuwezesha kujikunja kila kipande juu ya kingine.
But the two doores were of firre tree, the two sides of the one doore were round, and the two sides of the other doore were round.
35 Akanakshi makerubi, miti ya mitende na maua yaliyochanua juu yake na kufunika kwa dhahabu iliyonyooshwa vizuri juu ya michoro.
And he graued Cherubims, and palme trees, and carued floures and couered the carued worke with golde, finely wrought.
36 Tena akajenga ua wa ndani safu tatu za mawe yaliyochongwa na safu moja ya boriti za mierezi zilizorembwa.
And hee built the court within with three rowes of hewed stone, and one rowe of beames of cedar.
37 Msingi wa Hekalu la Bwana uliwekwa katika mwaka wa nne, katika mwezi wa Zivu, ndio mwezi wa tano.
In the fourth yeere was the foundation of the house of the Lord layed in the moneth of Zif:
38 Katika mwaka wa kumi na moja, mwezi wa Buli, ndio mwezi wa nane, Hekalu lilikamilika katika hatua zake zote kwa kufuatana na maelekezo yake Solomoni. Alilijenga kwa miaka saba.
And in the eleuenth yeere in the moneth of Bul, (which is the eight moneth) hee finished the house with all the furniture thereof, and in euery point: so was he seuen yeere in building it.
