1 Wakorintho 6
1 Kama mtu yeyote wa kwenu ana ugomvi na mwenzake, anathubutuje kuupeleka kwa wasiomcha Mungu ili kuamuliwa badala ya kuupeleka kwa watakatifu?
Dare any of you, having, a matter against his brother, sue for judgment before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
2 Je, hamjui kwamba watakatifu watauhukumu ulimwengu? Nanyi kama mtauhukumu ulimwengu, je, hamwezi kuamua mambo madogo madogo?
Or know ye not that, the saints, shall judge the world? And, if, by you, the world, is to be judged, unworthy are ye of the smallest judgment-seats?
3 Hamjui kwamba tutawahukumu malaika? Je, si zaidi mambo ya maisha haya?
Know ye not that we shall judge, messengers? and not, then, matters of this life?
4 Kwa hiyo kama kuna ugomvi miongoni mwenu kuhusu mambo kama haya, chagueni kuwa waamuzi, watu ambao wanaonekana hata sio wa heshima katika kanisa.
If, then, for matters of this, life ye have judgment-seats, them who are of no account in the assembly, these, are ye seating thereupon?
5 Nasema hivi ili mwone aibu. Je, inawezekana kuwa miongoni mwenu hakuna mtu mwenye hekima ya kutosha kuamua ugomvi kati ya waaminio?
With a view to shame you, am I speaking. So, is it possible that there is among you—not so much as one wise man, who shall be able to judge between his brethren, —
6 Badala yake ndugu mmoja anampeleka mwenzake mahakamani, tena mbele ya watu wasioamini!
But, brother with brother, sueth for judgment, and that before unbelievers?
7 Huko kuwa na mashtaka miongoni mwenu ina maana kwamba tayari ni kushindwa kabisa. Kwa nini msikubali kutendewa mabaya? Kwa nini msikubali kunyangʼanywa?
Already, indeed, it is an utter defeat for you, that ye are having, law-suits, one with another. Wherefore are ye not rather taking wrong? Wherefore are ye not rather suffering yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Badala yake, ninyi wenyewe mwadanganya na kutenda mabaya, tena mwawatendea ndugu zenu.
Nay! but, ye, are doing wrong, and defrauding, —and that [your] brethren.
9 Je, hamjui kwamba wasio haki hawataurithi Ufalme wa Mungu? Msidanganyike: Waasherati, wala waabudu sanamu, wala wazinzi, wala wahanithi, wala walawiti,
Or know ye not that, wrong-doers, shall not inherit, God’s kingdom? Be not deceiving yourselves: —neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,
10 wala wezi, wala wenye tamaa mbaya, wala walevi, wala wanaodhihaki, wala wanyangʼanyi hawataurithi Ufalme wa Mungu.
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners—shall inherit, God’s kingdom.
11 Baadhi yenu mlikuwa kama hao. Lakini mlioshwa, mlitakaswa, mlihesabiwa haki kwa jina la Bwana Yesu Kristo na katika Roho wa Mungu wetu.
And, these things, were some of you; but ye bathed them away, —but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.
12 “Vitu vyote ni halali kwangu”: lakini si vitu vyote vyenye faida. “Vitu vyote ni halali kwangu”: lakini sitatawaliwa na kitu chochote.
All things, unto me, are allowable, but, not all things, are profitable: all things, unto me, are allowable, but, I, will not be brought under authority by any.
13 “Chakula ni cha tumbo, na tumbo ni la chakula”: lakini Mungu ataviangamiza vyote viwili. Mwili haukuumbwa kwa ajili ya zinaa bali kwa ajili ya Bwana na Bwana kwa ajili ya mwili.
Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods; but, God, will set aside, both it and them. The body, however, is not for fornication, but, for the Lord, —and, the Lord, for the body.
14 Naye Mungu aliyemfufua Bwana kutoka kwa wafu atatufufua sisi pia kwa uweza wake.
God, moreover, hath both raised up, the Lord, and will raise, us, up from among [the dead] through his power.
15 Je, hamjui kwamba miili yenu ni viungo vya Kristo mwenyewe? Je, nichukue viungo vya mwili wa Kristo na kuviunganisha na mwili wa kahaba? La hasha!
Know ye not that, your bodies, are, members of Christ? Shall I, then, take away the members of the Christ and make them members of a harlot? Far be it!
16 Hamjui kwamba aliyeungwa na kahaba anakuwa mwili mmoja naye? Kwa kuwa imenenwa, “Hao wawili watakuwa mwili mmoja.”
Or know ye not that, he that joineth himself unto the harlot, is, one body? For, saith he, the two, shall become, one flesh;
17 Lakini mtu aliyeungwa na Bwana anakuwa roho moja naye.
But, he that joineth himself unto the Lord, is, one Spirit.
18 Ikimbieni zinaa. Dhambi zingine zote atendazo mtu ziko nje ya mwili wake, lakini yeye aziniye hutenda dhambi ndani ya mwili wake mwenyewe.
Flee fornication! Every sin, whatsoever a man shall commit, is, outside his body, but, he that committeth fornication, bringeth sin into his own body.
19 Je, hamjui ya kwamba miili yenu ni hekalu la Roho Mtakatifu akaaye ndani yenu, ambaye mmepewa na Mungu? Ninyi si mali yenu wenyewe,
Or know ye not that, your body, is, a shrine of the Holy Spirit that is within you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own; —
20 kwa maana mmenunuliwa kwa gharama. Kwa hiyo mtukuzeni Mungu katika miili yenu.
For ye have been bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body.
