1 Wakorintho 2
1 Ndugu zangu nilipokuja kwenu, sikuja na maneno ya ushawishi wala hekima ya hali ya juu nilipowahubiria siri ya Mungu.
I, therefore, brethren, when I came unto you, came, not with excellency of discourse or wisdom, declaring unto you the mystery of God;
2 Kwa kuwa niliamua kutokujua kitu chochote wakati nikiwa nanyi isipokuwa Yesu Kristo aliyesulubiwa.
For I had not determined to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, —and, him, as one who had been crucified!
3 Mimi nilikuja kwenu nikiwa dhaifu na mwenye hofu na kwa kutetemeka sana.
I, therefore in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling, came to be with you,
4 Kuhubiri kwangu na ujumbe wangu haukuwa kwa hekima na maneno ya ushawishi bali kwa madhihirisho ya nguvu za Roho
And, my discourse, and what I proclaimed, were not in suasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of Spirit and power:
5 ili imani yenu isiwe imejengwa katika hekima ya wanadamu bali katika nguvu za Mungu.
In order that, your faith, might not be in men’s wisdom, but in God’s power.
6 Lakini miongoni mwa watu waliokomaa twanena hekima, wala si hekima ya ulimwengu huu au ya watawala wa dunia hii wanaobatilika. (aiōn g165)
Wisdom, however, we do speak, among the full-grown, —wisdom, indeed, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are to come to nought; (aiōn g165)
7 Sisi tunanena hekima ya Mungu ambayo ni siri, tena iliyofichika, ambayo Mungu aliikusudia kabla ya ulimwengu kuwepo, kwa ajili ya utukufu wetu. (aiōn g165)
But we speak, God’s, wisdom, in a sacred secret, that hidden [wisdom], which God marked out beforehand, before the ages, for our glory, — (aiōn g165)
8 Hakuna hata mtawala mmoja wa nyakati hizi aliyeelewa jambo hili. Kwa maana kama wangelielewa, wasingemsulubisha Bwana wa utukufu. (aiōn g165)
Which, none of the rulers of this age had come to know, for, had they known, not, in that case, the Lord of the glory, would they have crucified! (aiōn g165)
9 Lakini ni kama ilivyoandikwa: “Hakuna jicho limepata kuona, wala sikio limepata kusikia, wala hayakuingia moyoni wowote, yale Mungu amewaandalia wale wampendao”:
But, even as it is written—The things which eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, and upon the heart of man have not come up, —whatsoever things God hath prepared for them that love him,
10 Lakini mambo haya Mungu ametufunulia kwa Roho wake. Roho huchunguza kila kitu, hata mambo ya ndani sana ya Mungu.
Unto us, in fact, hath God revealed through the Spirit; for, the Spirit, into all things, maketh search, yea! the deep things of God.
11 Kwa maana ni nani anayejua mawazo ya mtu isipokuwa roho iliyo ndani ya huyo mtu? Vivyo hivyo hakuna mtu ajuaye mawazo ya Mungu isipokuwa Roho wa Mungu.
For who of men knoweth the things of a man, —save the spirit of the man that is in him? thus, even the things of God, hath no one come to know, save the Spirit of God.
12 Basi hatukupokea roho ya dunia bali Roho atokaye kwa Mungu, ili tuweze kuelewa kile kipawa ambacho Mungu ametupatia bure.
But, as for us, —not the spirit of the world, have we received, but the Spirit which is of God, —that we might know the things which, by God, have been given in favour unto us: —
13 Haya ndiyo tusemayo, si kwa maneno tuliyofundishwa kwa hekima ya wanadamu bali kwa maneno tuliyofundishwa na Roho, tukifafanua kweli za kiroho kwa maneno ya kiroho.
Which we also speak—not in words taught of human wisdom, but in such as are taught of [the] Spirit, by spiritual words, spiritual things, explaining.
14 Mtu ambaye hana Roho hawezi kupokea mambo yatokayo kwa Roho wa Mungu, kwa kuwa ni upuzi kwake, naye hawezi kuyaelewa kwa sababu hayo yanaeleweka tu kwa upambanuzi wa rohoni.
But, a man of the soul, doth not welcome the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, and he cannot get to know them, because, spiritually, are they examined;
15 Mtu wa kiroho hubainisha mambo yote, lakini yeye mwenyewe habainishwi na mtu yeyote.
But, the man of the spirit, on the one hand, examineth all things, but, on the other, he himself, by no one, is examined.
16 “Kwa maana ni nani aliyefahamu mawazo ya Bwana ili apate kumfundisha?” Lakini sisi tunayo mawazo ya Kristo.
For who hath come to know the mind of the Lord, that shall instruct him? But, we, have, the mind of Christ.
