1 Hii ndiyo migawanyo ya wana wa Aroni: Aroni alikuwa na wana wanne: Nadabu, Abihu, Eleazari na Ithamari.
And the divisions of the sons of Aaron were: The sons of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, El'azar, and Ithamar.
2 Nadabu na Abihu walikufa kabla ya baba yao, nao hawakuwa na wana; kwa hiyo ndugu zao Eleazari na Ithamari wakahudumu kama makuhani.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no children: and El'azar and Ithamar became priests.
3 Akisaidiwa na Sadoki mwana wa Eleazari na Ahimeleki mwana wa Ithamari, Daudi aliwapanga wazao wa Aroni katika migawanyo kufuatana na wajibu wa huduma zao.
And David divided them off with Zadok of the sons of El'azar', and Achimelech of the sons of Ithamar, to their office in their service.
4 Idadi kubwa ya viongozi walipatikana miongoni mwa wazao wa Eleazari, kuliko miongoni mwa wazao wa Ithamari, nao waligawanywa kwa uwiano: Viongozi kumi na sita kutoka jamaa ya wazao wa Eleazari na viongozi wanane kutoka jamaa ya wazao wa Ithamari.
And the sons of El'azar were found more numerous in the chiefs of males than the sons of Ithamar; and they divided them accordingly. Of the sons of El'azar there were sixteen chiefs of the family divisions, and of the sons of Ithamar, eight for their family divisions.
5 Waliwagawanya bila upendeleo kwa kupiga kura, kwa kuwa kulikuwa na maafisa wa mahali patakatifu na maafisa wa Mungu miongoni mwa wazao wale wa Eleazari na wale wa Ithamari.
And they divided them off by lot, both the first and the last; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors [of the house] of God, were from the sons of El'azar, and from the sons of Ithamar.
6 Mwandishi Shemaya mwana wa Nethaneli, Mlawi, aliorodhesha majina yao mbele ya Mfalme Daudi na maafisa: Kuhani Sadoki, Ahimeleki mwana wa Abiathari, na viongozi wa jamaa za makuhani na za Walawi: jamaa moja ikitoka upande wa Eleazari na nyingine upande wa Ithamari.
And Shema'yah the son of Nethanel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Achimelech the son of Ebyathar, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and Levites: one family division being drawn of El'azar, and one being equally drawn of Ithamar.
7 Kura ya kwanza ilimwangukia Yehoyaribu, ya pili Yedaya,
And there came out the first lot for Jehoyarib, for Jeda'yah the second,
8 ya tatu Harimu, ya nne Seorimu,
For Charim the third, for Se'orim the fourth,
9 ya tano Malkiya, ya sita Miyamini,
For Malkiyah the fifth, for Miyamin the sixth.
10 ya saba Hakosi, ya nane Abiya,
For Hakkoz the seventh, for Abiyah the eighth,
11 ya tisa Yeshua, ya kumi Shekania,
For Jeshua' the ninth, for Shechanyahu the tenth,
12 ya kumi na moja Eliashibu, ya kumi na mbili Yakimu,
For Elyashib the eleventh, for Jakim the twelfth,
13 ya kumi na tatu Hupa, ya kumi na nne Yeshebeabu,
For Chuppah the thirteenth, for Jeshehah the fourteenth,
14 ya kumi na tano Bilga, ya kumi na sita Imeri,
For Bilgah the fifteenth, for Immer the sixteenth,
15 ya kumi na saba Heziri, ya kumi na nane Hapisesi,
For Chezir the seventeenth, for Happizzez the eighteenth,
16 ya kumi na tisa Pethahia, ya ishirini Yehezkeli,
For Pethachyah the nineteenth, for Ezekiel the twentieth.
17 ya ishirini na moja Yakini, ya ishirini na mbili Gamuli,
For Jachin the one and twentieth, for Gamul the two and twentieth,
18 ya ishirini na tatu Delaya, ya ishirini na nne Maazia.
For Delayahu the three and twentieth, for Ma'azyahu the four and twentieth.
19 Huu ulikuwa ndio utaratibu wao uliokubalika wa kuhudumu walipoingia katika Hekalu la Bwana kulingana na masharti waliyoelekezwa na Aroni baba yao, kama Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, alivyokuwa amemwamuru.
This was their office in their service to come into the house of the Lord, according to the manner prescribed to them, under the supervision of Aaron their father, as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded him.

And of the rest of the sons of Levi there were, of the sons of 'Amram: Shubael. Of the sons of Shubael: Jechdeyahu.
21 Kwa wa Rehabia, kutoka kwa wanawe: Ishia alikuwa wa kwanza.
Concerning Rechabyahu, of the sons of Rechabyahu the chief was Yishiyah.
22 Kutoka kwa Waishari: alikuwa Shelomithi, kutoka kwa wana wa Shelomithi: alikuwa Yahathi.
Of the Yisharites was Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth was Jachath.
23 Wana wa Hebroni: Yeria alikuwa mkuu, Amaria wa pili, Yahazieli wa tatu, na Yekameamu wa nne.
And the sons [of Hebron]: Jeriyah, Amaryahu the second, Jachaziel the third, Jekam'am the fourth.
24 Mwana wa Uzieli: alikuwa Mika; kutoka kwa wana wa Mika: alikuwa Shamiri.
[Of] the sons of 'Uzziel, Michah: of the sons of Michah, Shamir.
25 Ndugu yake Mika: alikuwa Ishia; na kutoka kwa wana wa Ishia: alikuwa Zekaria.
The brother of Michah was Yishiyah; of the sons of Yishiyah, Zecharyahu.
26 Wana wa Merari: walikuwa Mahli na Mushi. Mwana wa Yaazia: alikuwa Beno.
The sons of Merari were Machli and Mushi: the sons of Ja'aziyahu, Beno.
27 Wana wa Merari: kutoka kwa Yaazia: ni Beno, Shohamu, Zakuri na Ibri.
The sons of Merari by Ja'aziyahu: Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and 'Ibri.
28 Kutoka kwa Mahli: alikuwa Eleazari, ambaye hakuwa na wana.
Of Machli: El'azar, who had no sons.
29 Kutoka kwa Kishi: mwana wa Kishi: alikuwa Yerameeli.
Of Kish: The son of Kish was Jerachmeel.
30 Nao wana wa Mushi: walikuwa Mahli, Ederi na Yeremothi. Hawa walikuwa Walawi kulingana na jamaa zao.
And the sons of Mushi were Machli, and 'Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their family divisions.
31 Pia walipiga kura kama vile ndugu zao wazao wa Aroni walivyofanya, mbele ya Mfalme Daudi, Sadoki, Ahimeleki na mbele ya viongozi wa jamaa ya makuhani na ya Walawi. Jamaa za ndugu wakubwa zilitendewa sawasawa na zile za ndugu wadogo.
These likewise cast lots in the same manner as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of king David, and Zadok, and Achimelech, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and Levites, even the principal of the families equally with his youngest brother.
