Zacarías 7
1 Y sucedió que en el cuarto año del rey Darío, la palabra del Señor vino a Zacarías el cuarto día del noveno mes, el mes de Quisleu.
And it came to pass, in the fourth year of King Darius, that the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, on the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2 Ahora ellos de Betel habían enviado a Sarezer y Regem-melec para pedirle al Señor que les de favor.
when they had sent to the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before Jehovah,
3 Y para decir a los sacerdotes de la casa del Señor de los ejércitos y a los profetas: ¿Debemos seguir llorando en el quinto mes, abstenernos como lo hemos hecho en los últimos años?
and to speak to the priests that were in the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, “Shall I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”
4 Entonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor de los ejércitos, diciendo:
Then came the word of Jehovah of hosts to me, saying,
5 Di a toda la gente de la tierra y a los sacerdotes: Cuando hiciste ayuno y guardan luto en el quinto y séptimo mes durante estos setenta años, ¿alguna vez lo hiciste por mi?
Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth month and in the seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast for me, even for me?
6 Y cuando festejan y beben, ¿no lo hacen solo para ustedes mismos?
And when ye eat and drink, is it not ye that eat, and ye that drink?
7 ¿No son estas las palabras que el Señor les dijo por los profetas anteriores, cuando Jerusalén estaba llena de gente y riqueza, y las ciudades alrededor de ella, el sur y las tierras bajas estaban pobladas?
Are not these the words which Jehovah proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and her cities round about her, and when the South and the Plain were inhabited?
8 Y la palabra del Señor vino a Zacarías, diciendo:
And the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, saying,
9 Esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos ha dicho: Que tu juicio sea recto y de buena fe, que cada hombre tenga misericordia y compasión de su hermano:
Thus spake Jehovah of hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother.
10 No oprimas a la viuda, o el huérfano, al extranjero, a los pobres; y ni tramen él mal en sus corazones unos contra otros.
And the widow, and the orphan, and the stranger, and the poor, oppress not, and meditate not evil against one another in your heart.
11 Pero no prestaron atención, volvieron la espalda y se hicieron los sordos;
But they refused to hearken, and showed a refractory shoulder, and made their ears dull, that they might not hear;
12 E hicieron sus corazones duros como un diamante, para no oír la ley y las palabras que el Señor de los ejércitos había dicho por él Espíritu Santo y los profetas anteriores; y vino gran ira del Señor de los ejércitos.
yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, that they might not hear the law, and the words which Jehovah of hosts sent through his spirit by the former prophets. Therefore came great anger from Jehovah of hosts.
13 Y sucedió que como no escucharon mi voz, yo tampoco los escucharé, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
And as he called and they would not hear, so they called and I would not hear, saith Jehovah of hosts.
14 Pero con un viento de tormenta los envié huyendo entre todas las naciones las cuales conocían. De modo que la tierra fue arruinada tras ellos, de modo que ningún hombre fuese ni viniese, porque convirtieron en desolación la tierra deseada.
And I scattered them as with a whirlwind among all the nations, which they knew not. And the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through, nor returned; and thus the beautiful land was made a desolation.
