Romanos 6
1 ¿Qué podemos decir, entonces? ¿Vamos a seguir en pecado para que haya más gracia?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 De ninguna manera. ¿Cómo podemos nosotros, que estamos muertos al pecado, cómo pues podremos seguir viviendo en pecado?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 ¿O no saben que todos los que tuvimos el bautismo en Cristo Jesús, tuvimos el bautismo en su muerte?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Hemos sido puestos con él entre los muertos mediante el bautismo en la muerte: para que así como Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos por la gloria del Padre, nosotros, de la misma manera, podamos estar viviendo en una vida nueva.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 Porque, si hemos sido hechos como él en su muerte, seremos, de la misma manera, como él en la resurrección;
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Conscientes de que nuestro viejo hombre fue muerto en la cruz con él, para que el cuerpo del pecado pueda ser quitado, y que ya no seamos esclavos del pecado.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 Porque el que está muerto está libre de pecado.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Pero si estamos muertos con Cristo, tenemos fe en que viviremos con él;
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Sabiendo que Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos, nunca más descenderá a los muertos; la muerte no tiene más poder sobre él.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 Porque su muerte fue una muerte al pecado, pero su vida ahora es una vida que él está viviendo para Dios.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Así también véanse muertos al pecado, pero viviendo para Dios en Cristo Jesús.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Por esta causa no permitan que el pecado gobierne en su cuerpo que está bajo el poder de la muerte, para que cedan a su deseo;
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Y no entreguen sus cuerpos al pecado como instrumentos de maldad, sino a Dios, como los que viven de entre los muertos, y nuestros cuerpos como instrumentos para hacer lo bueno para Dios.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 Porque el pecado no puede dominar sobre ti: porque no estás bajo la ley, sino bajo la gracia.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 ¿Entonces qué? ¿Vamos a seguir en pecado porque no estamos bajo la ley sino bajo la gracia? Que no sea así.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 ¿No saben que si se someten a alguien como esclavos para obedecer? Si a pecar, el final es la muerte, o si hacer el deseo de Dios, para vivir una vida de rectitud.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 Pero alaben a Dios que, aunque ustedes fueron los esclavos del pecado, ahora se han entregado libremente de todo corazón a la forma de enseñanza a la cual fueron entregados;
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 y siendo liberados del pecado, se han hecho siervos a una vida de rectitud.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 Uso palabras de los hombres, por su debilidad humana: como entregaron sus cuerpos como siervos a lo que es inmundo, a la impureza y a la maldad, así también ahora, presenten su cuerpo al servicio de una vida de rectitud con el fin de vivir consagrados a Dios.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 Cuando eran siervos del pecado, fueron libres de una vida de rectitud.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 ¿Qué fruto tenían en ese momento en las cosas que ahora les avergüenza? porque el final de tales cosas es la muerte.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
