Apocalipsis 8

1 Y cuando él séptimo sello se abrió, hubo quietud en el cielo por alrededor de media hora.

And when He opened the seventh seal there was a stillness in heaven for about half an hour.

2 Y vi a los siete ángeles que estaban de pie delante de Dios; y se les dieron siete trompetas.

And I saw the seven angels who stood before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

3 Y vino otro ángel y se puso de pie junto al altar, teniendo un recipiente de oro para quemar perfume; y se le dio mucho incienso, para añadirlo con las oraciones de todos los santos en el altar de oro que estaba delante del trono.

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer. He was given lots of incense so that he could offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that is before the throne.

4 Y el humo del incienso, con las oraciones de los santos, subió delante de Dios de la mano del ángel.

And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the saints went up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 Y el ángel tomó el incensario; y lo llenó del fuego del altar, y lo envió sobre la tierra; y vinieron truenos, y voces, y relámpagos, y temblores de la tierra.

Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it at the earth. And there were noises and thunders and lightnings and an earthquake.

6 Y los siete ángeles que tenían las siete trompetas se dispusieron a tocarlas.

And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to trumpet.

7 Y al sonido del primero, hubo granizo y fuego, mezclada con sangre, fue enviada sobre la tierra; y una tercera de la tierra y tercera parte de los árboles, y toda la hierba verde, se quemó.

So the first one trumpeted, and there appeared hail and fire mixed with blood, and it [the mixture] was thrown at the earth, and a third of the earth was burned up; that is, a third of the trees was burned up and all green grass was burned up.

8 Y al sonido del segundo ángel, fue como si una gran montaña ardiendo en fuego fuera enviada al mar; y la tercera parte del mar se convirtiera en sangre,

So the second angel trumpeted, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.

9 Y murió la tercera parte de los seres vivientes que estaban en el mar, y una tercera parte de los barcos fue destruida.

And a third of the creatures with souls in the sea died. And a third of the ships were destroyed.

10 Y al sonido del tercer ángel, descendió del cielo una gran estrella, ardiente como una llama, y vino sobre la tercera parte de los ríos, y sobre las fuentes de agua.

So the third angel trumpeted, and a great star fell out of the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and on the springs of waters.

11 Y el nombre de la estrella es Ajenjo: y la tercera parte de las aguas se volvió amarga; y un número de hombres llegó a su fin a causa de las aguas, porque se hicieron amargas.

The name of the star is called Wormwood; so a third of the waters were turned into wormwood, and many people died from the waters because they were made bitter.

12 Y al sonido del cuarto ángel, una tercera parte del sol, y de la luna, y de las estrellas se oscureció, de modo que no hubo luz para la tercera parte del día y de la noche.

So the fourth angel trumpeted, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them was darkened; so a third of the day did not shine, and the night likewise.

13 Y vino a mis oídos el grito de un ángel en vuelo en el medio del cielo, que decía con gran voz: Ay!, Ay!, Ay!, de los que moran en la tierra, a causa de los otros toques de trompeta que están por sonar los tres ángeles.

And I saw and heard an eagle flying in midheaven saying with a loud voice, three times: “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth because of the remaining trumpet blasts of the three angels who are about to trumpet!”
