Apocalipsis 6
1 Y vi que el Cordero desabrochó uno de los sellos, y la voz de una de las cuatro bestias llegó a mis oídos, diciendo con una voz de trueno, ven y mira.
And I saw that the Lamb had opened one of the seven seals. And I heard one of the four living creatures saying, in a voice like thunder: “Draw near and see.”
2 Y vi un caballo blanco, y el que lo montaba, tenía un arco; y le fue dada una corona, y salió venciendo y para vencer.
And I saw, and behold, a white horse. And he who was sitting upon it was holding a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering, so that he might prevail.
3 Y cuando se abrió el segundo sello, la voz de la segunda bestia llegó a mis oídos, diciendo: Ven y mira.
And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying: “Draw near and see.”
4 Y salió otro caballo, un caballo rojo; y le fue dado poder, al que lo montaba se le dio poder para quitar la paz de la tierra, para que la gente se matara entre sí; y le fue dada una gran espada.
And another horse went forth, which was red. And it was granted to him who was sitting upon it that he would take peace from the earth, and that they would kill one another. And a great sword was given to him.
5 Cuando se abrió el tercer sello, llegó a mis oídos la voz de la tercera bestia, que decía: Ven y mira. Y vi un caballo negro; y el que lo montaba tenía una balanza en la mano.
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying: “Draw near and see.” And behold, a black horse. And he who was sitting upon it was holding a balance in his hand.
6 Y vino una voz a mis oídos, de en medio de las cuatro bestias, que decía: Una medida de grano por un denario, y tres medidas de cebada por un denario: y cuida que no hagan daño al aceite y al vino.
And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A double measure of wheat for a denarius, and three double measures of barley for a denarius, but do no harm to wine and oil.”
7 Cuando se abrió el cuarto sello, llegó a mis oídos la voz de la cuarta bestia, que decía: Ven y mira.
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying: “Draw near and see.”
8 Y vi un caballo gris, y el nombre del que lo montaba era Muerte; y el infierno vino después de él. Y se les dio autoridad sobre la cuarta parte de la tierra, para ser destruidos a espada, con hambre y muerte y con las bestias de la tierra. (Hadēs g86)
And behold, a pale horse. And he who was sitting upon it, his name was Death, and Hell was following him. And authority was given to him over the four parts of the earth, to destroy by the sword, by famine, and by death, and by the creatures of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Y cuando se quitó el quinto sello, vi debajo del altar las almas de los que habían sido muertos por la palabra de Dios y por el testimonio que guardaban.
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw, under the altar, the souls of those who had been slain because of the Word of God and because of the testimony that they held.
10 Y dieron un gran clamor, diciendo: ¿Hasta cuándo será, oh Soberano, santo y verdadero, antes de que tomes tu lugar como juez, y castigues nuestra sangre en los que están en la tierra?
And they were crying out with a loud voice, saying: “How long, O Holy and True Lord, will you not judge and not vindicate our blood against those who dwell upon the earth?”
11 Y a cada uno se le dio una túnica blanca, y se les ordenó descansar un poco, hasta que se completara el número de los otros siervos, sus hermanos, que serían ejecutados, tal como habían de ser muertos como ellos.
And white robes were given to each of them. And they were told that they should rest for a brief time, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who were to be slain even as they were slain, would be completed.
12 Y vi cuando se deshizo el sexto sello, y hubo un gran terremoto; y el sol se puso negro como una tela de cilicio, y toda la luna se volvió como sangre;
And when he had opened the sixth seal, I saw, and behold, a great earthquake occurred. And the sun became black, like a haircloth sack, and the entire moon became like blood.
13 Y las estrellas del cielo caían sobre la tierra, como la fruta verde de un árbol ante la fuerza de un gran viento.
And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, just as when a fig tree, shaken by a great wind, drops its immature figs.
14 Y el cielo fue quitado como el rollo de un libro cuando está enrollado; y todas las montañas e islas fueron sacadas de su lugar.
And heaven receded, like a scroll being rolled up. And every mountain, and the islands, were moved from their places.
15 Y los reyes de la tierra, y los poderosos, y los jefes militares, y los hombres de la riqueza, y todo siervo y libre, se escondieron en los agujeros y las rocas de las montañas;
And the kings of the earth, and the rulers, and the military leaders, and the wealthy, and the strong, and everyone, servant and free, hid themselves in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16 Y dicen a los montes y a las rocas: Caigan sobre nosotros y escondanos, de la presencia del que está sentado en el trono y de la ira del Cordero,
And they said to the mountains and the rocks: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One sitting upon the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.
17 Porque el gran día de su ira ha venido, y quién podrá resistir?
For the great day of their wrath has arrived. And who will be able to stand?”
