Apocalipsis 12
1 Y se vio una gran señal en el cielo: una mujer vestida del sol, y con la luna debajo de sus pies, y sobre su cabeza una corona de doce estrellas.
A great sign appeared in the sky: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 Y ella estaba encinta; y ella dio un grito, en los dolores del parto, en la angustia del alumbramiento.
And being pregnant she was crying out in labor, being in great pain to give birth.
3 Y se vio otra señal en el cielo; un gran dragón rojo, que tiene siete cabezas y diez cuernos, y en sus cabezas siete coronas.
And another sign appeared in the sky: wow, a dragon, huge, fiery red, having seven heads and ten horns, with seven diadems on his heads.
4 Y su cola estaba tirando de la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo hacia la tierra, y el dragón ocupó su lugar ante la mujer que estaba a punto de dar a luz, para que cuando naciera pudiera devorar al niño tan pronto como naciese.
And its tail grabbed a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth in order to devour her Child as soon as she gave birth.
5 Y dio a luz un hijo varón que había de gobernar sobre todas las naciones con vara de hierro; y su hijo fue llevado a Dios para su trono.
And she bore a Son, a male, who would shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was snatched up to God, even to His throne.
6 Y la mujer huyó al desierto, donde tiene un lugar preparado por Dios, para que allí le den alimento mil doscientos sesenta días.
And the woman fled into the wilderness to where she has a place prepared by God, so that they may nourish her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
7 Y hubo guerra en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles salieron a la batalla contra el dragón; y el dragón y sus ángeles luchaban,
War was declared in heaven; Michael and his angels were to wage war with the dragon; so the dragon and his angels made war,
8 Y fueron vencidos, y no hubo más lugar para ellos en el cielo.
but he was not strong enough; neither was there any place found for him in heaven any more.
9 Y el gran dragón fue derribado, la vieja serpiente, que se llama diablo y Satanás, por quien toda la tierra se apartó del camino correcto; fue forzado a bajar a la tierra, y sus ángeles fueron forzados a bajar con él.
So the great dragon was expelled, that ancient serpent, who is called Slanderer and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited world; he was thrown into the earth, and his angels were expelled with him.
10 Y una gran voz en el cielo vino a mis oídos, diciendo: Ahora ha venido la salvación, y el poder, y el reino de nuestro Dios, y la autoridad de su Cristo; porque ha sido lanzado fuera el acusador de nuestros hermanos, él que los acusaba delante de nuestro Dios de día y de noche.
And I heard a loud voice in the heaven saying: “Now the salvation and the power have come, even the Kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accused them before our God day and night.
11 Y ellos le han vencido por medio de la sangre del Cordero y la palabra de su testimonio; y no amaron sus vidas, se entregaron libremente a la muerte.
And they conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not cherish their lives, even up to death.
12 Alégrate, oh cielos, y ustedes que moran en ellos. Pero Ay! de los moradores de la tierra y el mar! porque el diablo ha descendido ustedes, con gran ira, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo.
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, yes, you who are dwelling in them! Woe to the earth and the sea! Because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has little time.”
13 Y cuando el dragón vio que fue forzado a bajar a la tierra, persiguió cruelmente a la mujer que dio a luz al niño varón.
So when the dragon perceived that he had been thrown into the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the Male.
14 Y le fueron dadas a la mujer dos alas de águila grande, para que ella pudiera huir al desierto, a su lugar, donde le dieran alimento por un tiempo, y tiempos, y medio tiempo.
And to the woman were given two wings of the great eagle, so that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, so that she might be nourished there for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
15 Y la serpiente envió de su boca tras la mujer un río de agua, para que fuera arrastrada por el río.
So the serpent expelled water from his mouth after the woman, like a river, so as to cause her to be overwhelmed by the flood.
16 Y la tierra ayudó a la mujer, y con la boca abierta tragó el río que el dragón había echado de su boca.
But the ground helped the woman; indeed, the ground opened its mouth and drank up the river that the dragon expelled from his mouth.
17 Y el dragón se enojó contra la mujer, y se fue para hacer guerra contra el resto de su simiente, quienes guardan los mandamientos de Dios y el testimonio de Jesucristo.
So the dragon was furious about the woman and off he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, those who keep the commands of God and hold the testimony of Jesus.
