Salmos 89

1 Mi canción será de las misericordias del Señor para siempre: con mi boca haré que su fe sea clara para todas las generaciones.

[A Psalm] of instruction for Aetham the Israelite. I will sing of your mercies, O Lord, for ever: I will declare your truth with my mouth to all generations.

2 Porque has dicho: La misericordia se fortalecerá para siempre; mi fe será inmutable en los cielos.

For you have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: your truth shall be established in the heavens.

3 He hecho un acuerdo con el hombre de mi selección, he hecho un juramento a David mi siervo;

I made a covenant with my chosen ones, I sware to David my servant.

4 Haré que tu semilla continúe para siempre, tu reino será fuerte por todas las generaciones. (Selah)

I will establish your seed for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. (Pause)

5 En el cielo, alaben tus maravillas, oh Señor; y tu fe inmutable entre los santos.

The heavens shall declare your wonders, O Lord; and your truth in the assembly of the saints.

6 Porque ¿quién está en los cielos en comparación con el Señor? ¿Quién es como el Señor entre los hijos de los dioses?

For who in the heavens shall be compared to the Lord? and who shall be likened to the Lord among the sons of God?

7 Dios es muy temible entre los santos, y honrado sobre todos los que están a su alrededor.

God is glorified in the council of the saints; great and terrible toward all that are round about him.

8 Oh Señor Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién es tan fuerte como tú, oh Jah? y tu fe te rodea.

O Lord God of hosts, who is like to you? you are mighty, O Lord, and your truth is round about you.

9 Tú gobiernas el mar en tormenta; cuando sus olas están turbulentas, tú las calmas.

You rule the power of the sea; and you calm the tumult of its waves.

10 Rahab fue aplastado por ti como un herido hasta la muerte; con tu brazo fuerte hechas a huir a todos tus enemigos.

You has brought down the proud as one that is slain; and with the arm of your power you has scattered your enemies.

11 tuyos son los cielos, y la tierra es tuya; tú has hecho el mundo y todo lo que está en él.

The heavens are your, and the earth is your: you have founded the world, and the fullness of it.

12 Tú has hecho el norte y el sur; Tabor y Hermón están sonando con alegría a tu nombre.

You have created the north and the west: Thabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.

13 El tuyo es un brazo de poder; fuerte es tu mano y exaltada tu diestra.

Your is the mighty arm: let your hand be strengthened, let your right hand be exalted.

14 La sede de tu reino reposa sobre la justicia y el derecho de juzgar; misericordia y buena fe están delante de tu faz.

Justice and judgment are the establishment of your throne: mercy and truth shall go before your face.

15 Bienaventuradas las personas que tienen conocimiento de aclamarte: la luz de tu rostro, oh Señor, brillará en su camino.

Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance.

16 En tu nombre tendrán alegría todo el día; en tu justicia serán ensalzados.

And in your name shall they rejoice all the day: and in your righteousness shall they be exalted.

17 Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; en tu placer se elevará nuestro cuerno.

For you are the boast of their strength; and in your good pleasure shall our horn be exalted,

18 Porque nuestra coraza es el Señor; y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.

for [our] help is of the Lord; and of the Holy One of Israel, our king.

19 Entonces tu voz vino a tu santo en visión, diciendo: He puesto el socorro sobre uno que es poderoso; levantando uno tomado de entre la gente.

Then you spoke in vision to your children, and said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of my people.

20 Descubrí a David mi siervo; He puesto mi aceite santo en su cabeza.

I have found David my servant; I have anointed him by [my] holy mercy.

21 Mi mano será su apoyo; mi brazo le dará fuerza.

For my hand shall support him; and mine arm shall strengthen him.

22 El engaño de los que están contra él no lo vencerá; él no será perturbado por los hijos del mal.

The enemy shall have no advantage against him; and the son of transgression shall not hurt him again.

23 Tendré a los que están contra él quebrados delante de él, y sus enemigos serán aplastados bajo mis golpes.

And I will hew down his foes before him, and put to flight those that hate him.

24 Pero mi fe y mi misericordia estarán con él; y en mi nombre se levantará su poder.

But my truth and my mercy shall be with him; and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 Pondré su mano en el mar, y su diestra en los ríos.

And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 Él me dirá: Tú eres mi padre, mi Dios, y la Roca de mi salvación.

He shall call upon me, [saying], You are my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.

27 Y lo haré el primero de mis hijos, el más grande sobre los reyes de la tierra.

And I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 Mantendré mi misericordia por él para siempre; mi acuerdo con él no cambiará.

I will keep my mercy for him for ever, and my covenant [shall be] firm with him.

29 Su simiente guardará su lugar para siempre; su reino será eterno, como los cielos.

And I will establish his seed for ever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 Si sus hijos renuncian a mi ley, y no se rigen por mis decisiones;

If his children should forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

31 Si mis reglas están rotas, y mis órdenes no se cumplen;

if they should profane my ordinances, and not keep my commandments;

32 Entonces les enviaré castigo por su pecado; mi vara será la recompensa de su maldad.

I will visit their transgressions with a rod, and their sins with scourges.

33 Pero no quitaré mi misericordia de él, ni faltaré a mi fidelidad hacia el.

But my mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong my truth.

34 Seré fiel a mi pacto; las cosas que salieron de mis labios no serán cambiadas.

Neither will I by any means profane my covenant; and I will not make void the things that proceed out of my lips.

35 He jurado una vez por mi santo nombre, que no seré falso con David.

Once have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lie to David.

36 Su simiente no se acabará para siempre; el asiento de su reino será como el sol delante de mí.

His see shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;

37 Será fijado para siempre como la luna; y el testigo en el cielo es verdad. (Selah)

and as the moon [that is] established for ever, and as the faithful witness in heaven. (Pause)

38 Pero lo has dejado desechado y menospreciado; has estado enojado con el rey de tu selección.

But you have cast off and set at nothing, you has rejected your anointed.

39 Has hecho que tú acuerdo con tu sirviente no tenga ningún efecto: no has tenido respeto por su corona, ha bajado hasta la tierra.

You have overthrown the covenant of your servant; you has profaned his sanctuary, [casting it] to the ground.

40 Todas sus paredes están rotas; has dado sus fuertes torres a la destrucción.

You have broken down all his hedges; you have made his strong holds a terror.

41 Todos los que vienen se llevan sus bienes; sus vecinos se ríen.

All that go by the way have spoiled him: he is become a reproach to his neighbors.

42 Has dado poder a la diestra de sus enemigos; has alegrado a todos los que están contra él.

You have exalted the right hand of his enemies; you have made all his enemies to rejoice.

43 Le quitaste el filo a su espada; no has sido su apoyo en la pelea.

You have turned back the help of his sword, and have not helped him in the battle.

44 Has puesto fin a su gloria: el asiento de su reino ha sido nivelado a la tierra.

You have deprived him of glory: you have broken down his throne to the ground.

45 Lo has hecho viejo antes de su tiempo; él está cubierto de vergüenza. (Selah)

You have shortened the days of his throne: you have poured shame upon him. (Pause)

46 ¿Hasta cuándo, Oh Señor?, te esconderás para siempre de nuestros ojos? ¿Hasta cuándo se encenderá tu ira como el fuego?

How long, O Lord, will you turn away, for ever? shall your anger flame out as fire?

47 Vea cuán corto es mi tiempo; ¿Por qué has hecho a todos los hombres sin ningún propósito?

Remember what my being is: for have you created all the sons of men in vain?

48 ¿Qué hombre que ahora vive no verá la muerte? ¿Podrá retener su alma del inframundo? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

What man is there who shall live, and not see death? shall [any one] deliver his soul from the hand of Hades? (Pause) (Sheol h7585)

49 Señor, ¿dónde están tus primeras misericordias? ¿Dónde está el juramento que le hiciste a David en fe inmutable?

Where are your ancient mercies, O Lord, which you sware to David in your truth?

50 Ten en cuenta, oh Señor, la vergüenza de tus siervos, y cómo las amargas palabras de todo el pueblo llevo en mi corazón;

Remember, O Lord, the reproach of your servants, which I have borne in my bosom, [even the reproach] of many nations;

51 Las palabras amargas de tus enemigos, oh Señor, avergonzado los pasos de tu rey.

wherewith your enemies have reviled, O Lord: wherewith they have reviled the recompense of your anointed.

52 Sea el Señor alabado para siempre. Entonces que así sea, que así sea.

Blessed be the Lord for ever. So be it, so be it.
