Salmos 80
1 Escucha, oh Guardián de Israel, guiando a José como un rebaño; tú que tienes tu asiento con los ángeles. deja que se vea tu gloria.
To the Chief Musician. For "the Lilies of Testimony." Asaph’s. A Melody. O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Thou who leddest forth Joseph like a rock, Thou who art throned on the cherubim, appear!
2 Delante de Efraín, de Benjamín y de Manasés, despierta de tu sueño, y ven a salvarnos.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, And come! to our salvation.
3 Llévanos de nuevo, oh Dios; veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
O God, bring us back, And light up thy face, That we may be saved.
4 Oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo se encenderá tu ira contra la oración de tu pueblo?
O Yahweh, God of hosts! How long hast thou been wroth with the prayer of thy people?
5 Les diste el pan de llanto para comer; por su bebida les has dado tristeza en gran medida.
Thou hast fed them with the food of tears, And hast caused them to drink the water of weeping in threefold abundance.
6 Nos haces causa de guerra entre nuestros vecinos; nuestros enemigos se están riendo de nosotros entre ellos.
Thou dost make us an object of contention to our neighbours, And, our foes, find mockery for themselves.
7 Llévanos de nuevo, oh Dios de los ejércitos; veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
O God of hosts, bring us back, And light up thy face, That we may be saved.
8 Sacaste una vid de Egipto, expulsando a las naciones y plantando en su tierra.
A vine out of Egypt, thou didst remove, Thou didst cast out nations, and plant it;
9 Preparó un lugar para ello, para que arraigara profundamente, y envió sus ramas sobre toda la tierra.
Thou didst make a clear space before it, So it rooted well its roots, and filled up the land;
10 Las montañas estaban cubiertas con su sombra, y los grandes árboles con sus ramas.
Covered were the mountains with its shade, And, with its boughs, the mighty cedars.
11 Envió sus armas al mar, y sus ramas al río.
It thrust forth its branches as far as the sea, —And, unto the River, its shoots.
12 ¿Por qué derribar sus muros con tus manos, para que todos los que pasan puedan tomar su fruto?
Wherefore hast thou broken down its fences, So that all who pass along the way, pluck its fruit?
13 Es desarraigado por los cerdos del bosque, las bestias del campo obtienen su alimento de él.
The boar out of the forest, browseth upon it, And, the wild beast of the field, pastureth thereon.
14 Vuelve, oh Dios de los ejércitos: desde el cielo vuelven tus ojos a esta vid, y concéntrate en ella,
O God of hosts, return, we pray thee, —Look down out of the heavens, and see, And inspect this vine:
15 Hasta el árbol que fue plantado a tu diestra, y al árbol que para ti afirmaste.
Yea the stock which thy right hand planted, Even upon the son thou didst secure for thyself.
16 Se quema con fuego; es cortado: son destruidos por la ira de tu rostro.
To be burned with fire, it is cut down, —At the rebuke of thy countenance, they will perish.
17 Sea tu mano sobre el varón de tu diestra, sobre el hijo de hombre, que para ti afirmaste.
Let thy hand be, Upon the Man of thy right hand, Upon the Son of Man thou didst secure for thyself;
18 Así no nos apartaremos de ti; guárdanos en la vida y alabaremos tu nombre.
So will we not draw back from thee, Thou wilt bring us to life, And, on thy Name, will we call.
19 Llévanos, oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos; restáuranos! veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
O Yahweh, God of hosts! bring us back, Light up thy face, That we may be saved.
