Salmos 72
1 Da al rey tu autoridad, oh Dios, y tu justicia al hijo del rey.
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 Puede ser un juez de su pueblo en justicia, y tomar decisiones verdaderas para los pobres.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Que las montañas den paz al pueblo y las colinas justicia.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Que él sea un juez de los pobres entre la gente, que pueda dar la salvación a los hijos de los necesitados; por él, deja que los violentos sean aplastados.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Que su vida continúe tanto como el sol y la luna, a través de todas las generaciones.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Que descienda como la lluvia sobre la hierba cortada; como lluvias que riegan la tierra.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 En sus días, a los rectos les irá bien, viviendo en paz mientras haya luna en el cielo.
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 Sea su reino de mar a mar, desde el río hasta los confines de la tierra.
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Que los que están contra él desciendan delante de él; y que sus enemigos estén bajos en el polvo.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Vuelvan los reyes de Tarsis y de las islas con ofrendas; que los reyes de Saba y Seba entreguen sus dones.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Sí, que todos los reyes caigan delante de él; que todas las naciones sean sus siervos.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Porque él será un salvador para los pobres en respuesta a su clamor; y al que está en necesidad, sin un ayudante.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 El tendrá misericordia de los pobres, y será el salvador de los necesitados.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Él mantendrá sus almas libres de engaños y ataques violentos; y su sangre será de valor en sus ojos.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Que tenga vida larga, y que le sea entregado el oro de Saba; que se hagan oraciones por él en todo momento; bendiciones sean sobre él todos los días.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Hay campos de trigo que se extienden por la tierra, que tiemblan en la cima de las montañas, llenos de frutos como el Líbano; que sus tallos sean innumerables como la hierba de la tierra.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Que su nombre continúe para siempre, mientras el sol: que los hombres se bendigan por él; que todas las naciones bendigan su nombre.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Alabado sea el Señor Dios, el Dios de Israel, el único que hace maravillas.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 Alabado sea la gloria de su noble nombre para siempre; deja que toda la tierra se llene de su gloria. Entonces que así sea, que así sea.
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
