Salmos 4
1 Da respuesta a mi clamor, oh Dios de mi justicia; tú que en mi angustia me diste alivio; ten piedad de mí y escucha mi oración.
For the chief musician; on stringed instruments. A psalm of David. Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness; give me room when I am hemmed in. Have mercy on me and listen to my prayer.
2 ¡Oh, hijos de hombres! ¿Hasta cuándo seguirán convirtiendo mi gloria en vergüenza? ¿Por Cuánto tiempo amaran y buscarán la vanidad y falsedad?
You people, how long will you turn my honor into shame? How long will you love that which is worthless and seek after lies? (Selah)
3 El Señor prefiere al hombre que le es fiel; el Señor escucha mi clamor.
But know that Yahweh sets apart the godly for himself. Yahweh will hear when I call to him.
4 Haya temor en sus corazones, y no pequen; en cama y en silencio mediten, examinen su corazón. (Selah)
Tremble in fear, but do not sin! Meditate in your heart on your bed and be silent. (Selah)
5 Den sacrificios de justicia, y pongan su fe en el Señor.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in Yahweh.
6 Hay muchos que dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? la luz de su rostro se ha ido de nosotros.
Many say, “Who will show us anything good?” Yahweh, lift up the light of your face on us.
7 Señor, has puesto alegría en mi corazón, más de los que tienen cuando aumentan su grano y su vino.
You have given my heart more gladness than others have when their grain and new wine abound.
8 Voy a descansar en mi cama en paz, y así mismo dormiré porque solo tú, Señor, me haces vivir confiado.
It is in peace that I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me safe and secure.
